my good friend, don't feel bad, infact you did Great, God want us to questions our faith,God don't want us to believe anything we are told, John the baptist is one of the Great teacher of his days, here what Jesus say about him:

Matthew 11:11
11 "Assuredly, I say to you, among
those born of women there has not
risen one GREATER than John the Baptist;
but he who is least in the kingdom of
heaven is greater than he.

Now, what lead to this statement in matthew 11 ? The answer is because John the baptist question the Messiah ( Jesus) he say in verse 2 and 3 of the same matthew 11 :

2 And when John had heard in prison
about the works of Christ, he sent two of
his disciples
3 and said to Him, "Are You the Coming
One, OR DO WE LOOK FOR ANOTHER ?"

If anyone should believe in Jesus with 100% sure, it got to be John, yet John doubt at some point. The truth is that this type of doubt strengthen our faith, the bible call is " a refining by fire" The bible say faith alone cannot save , why? because what you have faith in must be TRUE, Biblical faith is accurate knowledge combined with ACTIVE TRUST
Faith and knowledge are not opposed to
each other. So Trusting faith alone does
NOT save, but instead what is trusted
MUST be true.

The problem of evil just proves that an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God doesn't exist. Let me ask you something do you really think God would send someone to hell for not believing in his incoherent self contradicting book called the Bible. It is human to doubt, but its totally your decision to let your doubts rule your life.

Jesus said of John the Baptist in matt11:11;
“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist” (Matt. 11:11).
Yet John doubted the most important thing of all by questioning whether Jesus was really the Christ.
My advise; Pray for guidance and ask questions from reasonable sources.
As for the quote, the writer is right, But our God is not a man, he’s not in the sky and he created the universe. It’s just a cheap and light way to ridicule our beliefs.

Once again, the heart of man is desperately wicked (Im sure you should know the Christian definition of wickedness).
I can rephrase this and sound exactly as stup!d as this quote.

Look, God gave us freewill and such comes with consequences. The problem with some people is that they do not want the consequences. Even life itself threatens us daily with consequences;
if we fail to work, we starve. If we refuse to prepare for exams, we fail. If we fail to prepare for the future, consequences follow and on and on.

I can understand their positions but the bitter truth is that we can never escape the consequences of our actions. Of course, a man would love to rob a bank and get rich without consequences, a man would love to have multiple sexual partners without consequences, man will always want to have his way.

Unfortunately, we didn’t ask to be created. We can only discover the world we are in, and live according to its principles instead of allowing pride and a false sense of entitlement to engulf us.
