3 years ago, a corper doctor serving in Abuja walked into an estate and together with two other people spotted a man (a pastor actually) just effecting his act to commit suicide. He was dangling in the rope already. The training and instinct of the doctor made him to swing into action and with the help of the other two passersby, brush down the victim and he started recuscitation. Within moments, the police aniseed their presence and the remaining two samaritans, for obvious reasons, stylishly depleted the scene leaving the doctor alone with a dead man on his laps.

The police did not bother to listen to his story or pleas but will rather believe the untold story of a dead man as against the story told by a living man found at the scene, even without conducting an investigation or autopsy to corroborate the story of the living man. The doctor was on the scene charged with murder and was to be sent to court.

The story went viral and people and commenterS became analysts and counter analysts overnight. But one thing stood out: the corper doctor was about to go to jail for a crime he did not commit, and for following the dictates his profession to save lives.

Days after, favour came through. There was a church inside the estate and it so happened to be one of those modern churches that also go extra hippie to ensure their own security and protection is ensured since the government had continously failed in her role to protect the lives and properties of citizens. And this church was situated not far from where the incident happened.

A CCTV. Yes a cctv belonging to the church caught the whole incident right from the time the victim tied the knit and committed the social action and a part of when those passersby, the doctor included, raced in to rescue the dying man. This video was made public and brought in as evidence.

That was how another life was saved from the injustice being perpetrated by the Nigerian police.

I am a medical personnel and whenever I am around in Nigeria and come across accident victims or a random person having a cardiac attack which urgent intervention by an EMS (of course Nigeria don't have any EMS service) which implies that I will effectively be an EMS, by virtue of my profession, at that site, ọmọ, I go throway face.

I almost fainted about four years ago at about 7:30 pm in front of my house during an encounter with a cobra of this size, I sat on a chair and i was pressing my phone not knowing that the monster was just about 2-3 meters away from where I sat down gazing at me from inside the flowers.
