Falana is becoming a huge embarrassment to his admirers. Ekiti people have made their choice. Ayo Fayose is the man! Punch newspaper, Fashola, Leadership, Falana, Nations, TV Continental, Sahara Reporters, Radio Continental and all APC agents may go take a swim in the Athlantic Ocean |
barcanista: If you have no reasonable contribution don't quote me fvktard. Where or when did I declare for any party? If you think Nigeria political space is restricted to APC/PDP alone then you are a FOOOOOL with capital letters.Sorry, I was refering to the APC state chairman also |
barcanista: “Most importantly also, the old PDP members are even likely to fight whoever Sheriff anoints as the governorship candidate if that happens because the old people know very well that if God forbids, the godson is elected governor, he will only pay attention to Sheriff and those around him, while the old PDP members will be strangers in their own party that they suffered so much to build and sustain.” You need not worry about how the PDP integrates the Sherriff family into it's fold. The party is large enough to accommodate all of them. Instead, worry about you crumbling supporter of APC APC. |
PUNCH being an APC supporter of APC news media might be doing propaganda for Nyako. I don't beleive it yet. |
No well-meaning Nigerian should remain in the APC |
UK may probe ‘links’ between APC, Boko Haram A prominent member of the British parliament, Mr. Andrew Rosindell (pictured), has questioned the UK foreign secretary, Mr. William Hague, on the country’s engagement with Nigeria’s leading opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), over the Boko Haram menace. This came after a debate in parliament in which Labour MP Sandra Osborne sought to examine allegations of links between APC and the insurgents. The increasing questioning of the UK government by MPs on the issue may force an enquiry into the allegations. However, APC spokesman, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, told TheCable on Friday that he was not aware of any meeting between the leadership of APC and Hague. Rosindell, a conservative who represents Romford and is a member of the influential foreign affairs committee, sent in his written questions ─ called “notices” ─ on Tuesday, July 8. Hague is mandated to formally respond to Rosindell’s questions in the coming weeks on behalf of the British government. The questions, listed under “notices for written answer”, were published on the website of the UK parliament. Rosindell’s queries relating to Boko Haram, as listed, are: 1) To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will commission an inquiry into the international support network for Boko Haram in Nigeria and Cameroon; and if he will make a statement. (Notice no. 204402) 2) To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what discussions (a) he and (b) other Ministers in his Department have had with leading members of the Nigerian opposition party, the All Progressive Congress; and if he will make a statement. (204401) 3) To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what assessment he has made of the rise in Islamic terrorism in Nigeria. (204387) To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what support his Department plans to offer to Nigeria in tackling the threat of Boko Haram. (204388) 4) To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what assessment he has made of links between Boko Haram and other Islamic extremist groups in Africa. (204389) To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will discuss with his counterpart in Cameroon the need for constructive dialogue between that country and Nigeria in tackling Boko Haram; and if he will make a statement. Imported crowd from Lagos, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti If you live along Lagos - Ibadan expressway or Lagos - Abeokuta expressway, you will notice uncountable bus loads of APC members from Lagos to help boost the campaign rallies. |
The man used to be a refrigiration techinician. That made him to start claiming "Engr" title. When COREN threatened to sue him he queitly dropped it and took up "Ogbeni" |
"It was gathered that the project which was billed for commissioning tomorrow by Governor Rauf Aregbesola" . . . . . . news That building should have collapsed on the heads of those theiving maggots during commissioning tomorrow |
This is laughable. Why is Fashola turning himself to a laughing stock? Aregbesola is next in line to be sacked. Osun people are tired of APC propaganda and lies while their money is syphoned to enrich the empire of one god at Bourdillion Ikoyi |
Goodluck Jonathan: Nothing is more important than bringing home Nigeria’s missing girls I have had to remain quiet about the continuing efforts by Nigeria’s military, police and investigators to find the girls kidnapped in April from the town of Chibok by the terrorist group Boko Haram. I am deeply concerned, however, that my silence as we work to accomplish the task at hand is being misused by partisan critics to suggest inaction or even weakness. My silence has been necessary to avoid compromising the details of our investigation. But let me state this unequivocally: My government and our security and intelligence services have spared no resources, have not stopped and will not stop until the girls are returned home and the thugs who took them are brought to justice. On my orders, our forces have aggressively sought these killers in the forests of northern Borno state, where they are based. They are fully committed to defending the integrity of their country. My heart aches for the missing children and their families. I am a parent myself, and I know how awfully this must hurt. Nothing is more important to me than finding and rescuing our girls. Since 2010, thousands of people have been killed, injured, abducted or forced by Boko Haram, which seeks to overwhelm the country and impose its ideology on all Nigerians. My government is determined to make that impossible. We will not succumb to the will of terrorists. A handout photograph made available by the World Economic Forum shows President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, speaking during the opening plenary session of the World Economic Forum on Africa in Abuja, Nigeria. (Benedikt Von Loebell / World Eco/EPA) The abduction of our children cannot be seen as an isolated event. Terrorism knows no borders. This month, Nigeria, Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Britain and the United States established an External Intelligence Response Unit to share security information on such threats in West Africa. I propose that we build on this step to establish an enduring, worldwide commitment to destroying terrorism and those who finance or give safe haven to the terrorists. In September, I will urge the U.N. General Assembly to establish a U.N.-coordinated system for sharing intelligence and, if necessary, special forces and law enforcement to confront terrorism wherever it occurs. In Nigeria, there are political, religious and ethnic cleavages to overcome if we are to defeat Boko Haram. We need greater understanding and outreach between Muslims and Christians. We also know that, as it seeks to recruit the gullible, Boko Haram exploits the economic disparities that remain a problem in our country. We are addressing these challenges through such steps as bringing stakeholders together and creating a safe schools initiative, a victims’ support fund and a presidential economic recovery program for northeastern Nigeria. We are also committed to ridding our country of corruption and safeguarding human and civil rights and the rule of law. Something positive can come out of the situation in Nigeria: most important, the return of the Chibok girls, but also new international cooperation to deny havens to terrorists and destroy their organizations wherever they are — whether in the forests of Nigeria, on the streets of New York or sanctuaries in Iraq or Pakistan. Those who value humanity , civilization and the innocence of children can do no less. http://m.washingtonpost.com/opinions/goodluck-jonathan-nothing-is-more-important-than-bringing-home-nigerias-missing-girls/2014/06/26/7739275e-fd4b-11e3-b1f4-8e77c632c07b_story.html |
Seriously, nairaland broke down at a very wrong time. At a time we sharpening our mouth to mock these APC online supporters of APC - Gbawe, Demdem, Nwaniba, Obiagelli, Berem and co. |
One reason Okada riders and their passengers should always use helmets. |
God bless Nigeria. God bless GEJ. We are moving forward. |
That is my Presidoo |
jay_onpoint: U lack clues. Sanusi is d one sayn d truth here. He sent d letter much earlier bt unattended by mr president bt unknw dat he'd already copied nnpc&finance min. So hw he sanusi responsible for d leak? If Jonathan is sincere why did he received d letter in silence? Obviously many of u ar as clueless as u oga @d topNo, Mr Man. Sanusi sent the letter on Dec 4 but Obasanjo had made reference to it in his Dec 2 letter to the President. Meaning he had leaked it prior to sending the President's copy. I really would prefer a smooth transition in our apex bank but no boss will keep Sanusi under him. By the way, the CBN this evening refuted media reports of a forced resignation directive on the CBN governor insisting they have not been any such thing. |
Demdem:What again does Ameachi have to say apart from the doses of lies he's been dishing out? He deliberately refused to let us know the truth that: 1) President GEJ has nothing to do with the loss of the oil wells 2) That the Wells were ceded since 2006 under former President OBJ 3) That the Supreme Court had since ruled on that matter 4) That it was OBJ (not GEJ) that handed out the money in the ESCROW account to Bayelsa since 2006 5) That he Ameachi is a devil incarnate for deliberately attempting to drag the name of the President in the mud |
Abagworo, you have no shame? So you can still refer us to Ameachi's two years old propaganda as justification of his obvious lies? |
Did this Cramjones guy say Tambuwal passed the FOI bill? Don't get it. How? Mr Man, GEJ working with Mark and Dimeji Bankole saw to the realisation of FOI. |
gregg2: In case Ben Akabueze pretends not to get Obanikoro's observations : The Alausa criminals were also asked to tell the whereabouts of the two Helicopters procured by the Lagos State govt. Akabueze could not answer but instead is vomiting the ramblings of a child thief caught in the act. |
It's GEJ and PDP for me and my family |
Opposition politics is now anchored on lies, lies and more lies |
Only PUNCH can report junks like this one. PUNCH's current management and editorial team are gradually killing this once revered media outfit because of tribalism and APC politics. Quote me, no single member of Dickson's aides has defected to the APC. Why didn't PUNCH name them and their portfolios. PUNCH is now an APC newsletter. Even Osundefender may not stoop so low as PUNCH atimes. Stewpid propaganda |
Nice job OP. Well researched. |
These APC e - goats have no shame. They go on twisting the truth to confuse people. I remember their lies then about Iyabo Obasanjo denying writing a letter to her father. One of them hurriedly cooked up a purported reply filled with loads of grammatical errors claiming it was from Iyabo same way this poster is here claiming she worked with the Yacht at highest level. Highest level my asss decrox199: "I Did Not Write Any Letter to My Father, IYABO OBASANJO Speaks Out! December18, 2013 IYABO OBASANJO (On Rainbow FM): > "I have never seen or heard this sort of fabrication in my entire life! I, IYABO OBASANJO never contemplate writing a letter to my Loving Father. I speak with him almost on daily bases. "Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo is the best father in the world. He gave birth to me, he raise me up and gave me the best of Education. I wouldn't have achieve whatever I did without my father. IN FACT, WHO AM I WOTHOUT MY FATHER? "As a father he never disappoint his children in any way, he is a father anybody wish to have. "If President Jonathan want to reply the letter my father wrote him, he should be man enough to reply direct. Why are they trying to make me a scape goat? I know my father very well and I don't question his judgement, I believe my father wrote his letter in the best intrest of the nation. If Mr. President disagree with some of the allegations in the latter, let him be man enough to talk directly to my father, he should stop involving me in an issue I know nothing about. "How can you write a letter to insult my father and claim I, the daughter is the source. If that is how Ijaw people insult their father, I am a Yoruba Woman, we respect our parent in all circumstances. "I IYABO OBASANJO did not write any letter. Nigerians should please take note. "The purported letter is a malicious lies intended to rubish the good name of my family, when I get to the source of the letter, I will waste no time to take the necessary legal actions. "I love my father and I never disrespect him." |
How dare you lie that LASG did not invest a kobo and therefore lost nothing? So this OP claims to know more than APC, the party under whose govt the yacht deal was struck? See Madam, given that you are one of the APC nuisance we have on this forum makes your claims only good for the trash can. If Lagos state did not lose 8 billion, the APC spokesperson that addressed the media would not hesitate to say so. |
That is the post Babangida Aliyu and Sule Lamido are eyeing. But Sambo had been the best VP. To me, he should never be sacrificed. |
No problem. Unlike Tinubu who imposes wives, daughters, inlaws |
It is extremely courageous of APC admitting it's government had been on internship doing trial and error with Lagos people's money. Bisi Akande should now tell Nigerians who then is running a kindergarten administration - APC or PDP? Besides, 8 billion naira goes down the drain under some 'trial and error' circumstances and nobody is punished nor made to lose their jobs for a scandal of this magnitude? What even surprises me is the way the APC spokesperson seems not to give a damn about the scandal - justifying 'mistakes' without any form of remorse atleast considering the colossal sum involved. Again, he must tell Nigerians the whereabouts of the two helicopters. The media must follow up on this and not let it die. |
