And when he comes out in public he pretends to be one humble governor. Pretenders!!! Liars!!! Deceivers!!! |
luvmijeje: You called me after your vengeful letter as usual, looking out for yourself and thinking you will bribe me by saying the APC will use me for the Senate. Do you really know me and what I want out of life?Bros, you took the words out of my mouth on the bolded. Last week, it was reported that OBJ a meeting with Buhari at Ota. |
See how Ameachi abuses his powers and corrupts the Judiciary? A case filed on Friday was ruled on Monday. |
@OP We read in the news two weeks ago that Ameachi dissolved LGA councils. So, which 23 LGA chairmen are we talking about here? This piece sounds like one silly propaganda sponsored junk |
OBJ cannot eat his cake and have. The earlier he realises he needs to retire from politics the better for him. |
dj mask: How many schools participated? No OAU, no UI, no UNILAG so why call it all Nigeria Universities Debate.Shaarraappp your stinking mouth. UNILAG participated and came fourth. |
This story could just be from the imagination of the writer. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that OBJ said what is being alleged here. |
PUNCH is the biggest embarrassment of all. Recently they started doing arrangee media awards to save face. |
Prof Corruption: True.I agree with your points 1 - 3 that the legal battle will not be all smooth for the PDP. Our judiciary has a lot of loopholes. |
kokoA: theodore orji, ikedi ohakim were elected under PPA platforms but decamped to PDP.Were they ever taken to court for interpretation of the constitution? |
Seriously? Best resolution to ever come from the National Assembly. |
pokur: Erm.......just one insurmountable hurdle to PDP achieving anything with this case,Atiku v Obj.Remember that case n how it went down?.Hello sir!!! Didn't get your last sentence |
The battle has just begun. Owelle Judas Okorocha, APGA is waiting for you lol. nPDP reps and Senators are wise enough by delaying announcing their own defection because of the constitutional provision against such. Let Nigerians see how the Supreme court that ruled in Omehia vs Ameachi's case will now reverse itself to rule otherwise. |

The Peoples Democratic Party has asked an Abuja Federal High Court to sack the five governors who defected to the All Progressives Congress. The governors are Alhaji Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) and Abdulfatai Ahmed (Kwara). The Independent National Electoral Commission was listed as a defendant alongside the governors in the suit filed on behalf of the PDP by Alex Izinyon, SAN. PDP argued that the governors should be sacked from office on the ground that, because of their defection, they have forfeited their offices, which, as a result, have reverted to the party. In the event that the five governors are sacked from office, PDP wants the court to order the deputy governor or speaker of the state Houses of Assembly of the affected states, or any officer next in rank, who is still its member, to assume the office of governor. PDP is asking the court for several reliefs, among which is a declaration that by the combined provisions of sections 177 (c), 221 and 222 (c) of the 1999 Constitution, the five governors, who were elected under its platform, cannot continue to enjoy the mandate given to it (PDP) by the people/electorate of the concerned states as they (governors) have defected to another political party. The court was equally asked to make a declaration that in the absence of any division in the PDP, the five governors have vacated or forfeited their seats upon their defection to the APC. Also, the Abuja FHC was asked to make a declaration that, by the combined provisions of sections 87 of the Electoral Act 2011 (as amended), and sections 177 (c), 221 and 222 (c) of the 1999 Constitution, the offices of the defected governors have reverted to the PDP. In the same vein, the court was asked to make a declaration that, by the combined provisions of sections 177 (c), 221 and 222 (c) of the 1999 Constitution, upon the defection of the five governors, the mandate reverts to the deputy governor or speaker of the state houses of assembly of the respective states or any officer next in rank who is still a member of the PDP. http://www.punchng.com/news/pdp-asks-court-to-remove-defecting-governors/ |
Obasanjo's letter to GEJ only revealed two things: 1) That he was actually plotting for Sule Lamido and Ameachi to overthrow GEJ in 2015 2) That he was the mastermind of the so called "PDP crisis" in a bit to wrestle power from GEJ |
Minority reports are normal in 'Committee Reports' and does not suggest any split in the committee. The writer of this piece is ignorant. |
Which party again is the governor of Zamfara? |
homesteady: Let's see whether this will get to frontpageFront page ke!! Let us pray Mukina doesn't move it and hide in culture forum |
Imoke wins Best Governor Award Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has emerged the winner of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies’ Best Goveror Award for 2013. The award for transformational leadership was bestowed on Imoke for facilitating rapid infrastructural and human development in Cross River State. At the 4th Annual CEOs Dinner/Awards Nite, held at the Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi, Lagos, President of AES, Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, said Imoke emerged winner after a verification exercise involving visitation to the 36 states to assess developmental strides of the governors. The governor, who delivered a lecture on the theme: “Peace as a Panacea for national development”, thanked the organizers for the award. He said he was particularly surprised to have been singled out for the recognition. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/imoke-wins-best-governor-award/ |
The FG is constructing many more roads in Abuja than what Lagos state is doing but we don't get to hear this much propaganda. Lagos need pipeborne water like most other cities and not these noisemaking when a 2KM road is asphalted. |
Sincere 9gerian: Saving it for future reference is of no use. What OBJ awarded in 2006 was Lagos to Kano railway. Just like the Second Niger Bridge OBJ also awarded in 2007, NO WORK was done on the project. Everything remained on paper. Yar Adua came and made matters worse by cancelling the PAPER works for the project. Yar Adua said there was no fund to do the project as conceptualised by OBJ. In 2010, the project was awarded again but not in the same form OBJ awarded it in 2006. It was now broken into sections. What is reported here is the Abuja-Kaduna section. But like I always say, bottomline is getting the JOB DONE. Award of contracts with NO work done is DEAD.These APC e - rats need some serious flogging. In his devilish mind, OBJ not GEJ should be given credit. I remember exactly when that contract was awarded to CCECC few months after Sambo was announced GEJ's vice. |
@OP SURE - P and PTF are quite different in concept and scope. While PTF had powers to initiate projects from start to finish, SURE - P is not a stand alone programme per se, but merely supports Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government to expedite projects execution. SURE - P is not designed to go into huge public erecting billboards everywhere for it's activities. Visit their website to read about their interventions http://www.sure-p.gov.ng/index.cfm/sure-p-the-journey-so-far/ |
dayokanu: There was no University that didnt have a PTF project in that timeWith gigantic bill boards everywhere, abi? |
This has nothing to do with PHCN. The airline concerned should be probed. |
lincolnj88:You can't but like this man. Just speaking his mind, not hurting anyone like the likes of Tinubu, Buhari, liar Muhammed etc |
Some people will take acid because of this picture. |
Wowwwww . . . |
Agric Minister Akinwumi Adesina is a genius. Nigeria keeps growing from different directions. It's well |
Yea, really, which is better managed between Abuja (GEJ & PDP) and Lagos (Fashola/Tinubu & APC)? Remember, Lagos was again recently ranked 4th worst city to live in in the world after 14yrs of the duo in power. It is still very dirty and cannot boast of basic pipeborne water as most cities despite huge IGR. |
engrflames: Yes, Buhari, Tinubu, APC Are Foolish, Idiotic any problem with that?No problem Sir. All correct. |
