Hi VO...Just want to ask how long "max" does NVC take to review approved i129f (one that's already been assigned a case number) before its sent to consulates worldwide? How long does it take to get to the consulates?... How long till interview date once the consulates received it from NVC? As the beneficiary , Is it possible to pick your own interview date ?

Thanks for your sincere , relentless and continued support!

Hi C.O,

Hope you had a great weekend ?

My fiancee (american citizen) just filed the Form I-129F this week, now she couldn't wait for it to get approved and have me join her but she'll rather leave the U.S and come live with me in South Africa while the petition is pending and we move back together when everything is finalized... She's been a handful over this issue and its gotten to a point that i have to say Yes just not to hurt her feelings , i believe she fell n love with the country and especially Cape Town during her visits and now she just want to come and stay lol... The plan is surely to move back to the U.S together though...

My question " Will this move affect anything about the pending petition ? Do you think its the wrong or right thing to do ? Will it have any negative impact/effect on the petition? What advise have you got?

I just need your thoughts and advise on this...

Thanks

Hi VO, Compliments of the season !

Could you please confirm if filling a form G-325A together with I-129F is a must? If yes, is g-325a to be completed separately by both the petitioner and the beneficiary ? Lastly , for someone who lives in Houston Texas where should you send your completed forms to?

Thanks a lot for your time ...

VisaOfficer:
You can have two petitions outstanding at the same time -- no wahala. They won't affect each other. If your fiance visa is approved, after you adjust status in the U.S. you could contact USCIS as a courtesy and let them know they can close the sibling petition.
If the fiance petition is documentarily complete when it's filed with USCIS, it should be processed and approved in around 60 days. At that point, the case is shipped to us (in a batch) and we contact petitioners to say "Hey, your beneficiary can make an appointment online now." That's why K visas are somewhat quicker than other types of immigrant visas: Beneficiaries can make their own appointments online as soon as their petitions arrive at post, whereas other types of immigrant visas are scheduled all at once, in batches, by the National Visa Center.
This is very helpful.. Thank you and I'll come to you again when due lol...

Hi C.O..

Thanks for your great assistance , though I'm not very active on here but i always follow the discussions and its been spot on...

Please advise on this: I already have a sibling I-130 petition approved but i believe it'll still take some years before I'm called for interview, but now my girlfriend (american citizen) wants to file a fiance K1 petition for me because we've both agreed to get married soon.. we've been dating for quite some time, she spends time with and around my family over there in the US and she'll be spending this xmas with me too in africa... Now the question is, before she puts in any petition for me do we need to call uscis to cancel my already approved sibling i-130 petition or it'll be automatically cancelled if/when the fiance K1 is approved and we got married? I just want to know if it affects each other or not? Also how long does it take for the fiance K1 to be approved ?

I hope to read from you soon and thanks xoxoxo

VisaOfficer: I don't know why they updated your name, but it could be that your petition has completed some stage of processing so they updated their lists with your name. I'm just speculating, though. You could e-mail them and ask?
Thank you so much @VO for your time , you're right and today i finally got this..

On July 8, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283
