You cannot stop taking diazepam just like that, it will cause withdrawal symptoms similar to what you are having now. It needs to be tapered off slowly and not abruptly. Find something that interest you and do it. If you enjoy watching movies, maybe go to the cinema or buy the cd and watch. If you enjoy playing games, use that to distract you. No matter what, always remember that everything gets better with time, you may be depressed now and your thoughts will be cloudy, but there's always tomorrow. Stay strong.

The past couple of weeks has been terrible for me ,i was having anxiety and have not been sleeping well and this has really affected myself. I also started Taking diazepam to help me sleep but now i have stopped it too, but the night have been terrible, i can't sleep and now i feel like my brain is dying. I feel so uncoordinated while walking and i also think I'm having some confusion.

Pls nairaland tell me i my going crazy?
How can i stop this? pls help cause i think if it continues this way i might lose it.

OP, what you are experiencing is OCD ( obsessive compulsive disorder) it will be like thoughts you dont are coming to your head while you are also trying to shrug it off , when you see something mostly what you dont like, your brain will help u paint it in such a way that it fights a battle of yes or no in your mind and head. The name of the test is free T4, it is not Free. It tells you the amount of free thyroxine in the blood. It's actually more accurate than Total T4.
Last time i checked, free T4 was #2700 while total T4 was #2300, the free thyroid profile was #9000 as at July. i don't know if it has added money oooo.

Other labs charge as much as #5000 for only one

I don't know oo, but those are also symptoms of hyperthyroidism. If you have the money, go for thyroid profile or if you're cash strapped, run a free T4 test. Use afriglobal medicare, they are quite cheap

Dear nairalanders i have been having this crazy anxiety disorder for the past couple of weeks, and it's really affecting my whole life. I'm having this crazy anxiety this days and it usually become more serious during the evening hours.
And i will start experiencing this fast and pounding heart rate, can't think properly, reduced concentration, slight trembling , restlessness and i feel like i don't have energy, and during the night is hard for me to fall asleep.

What do you guys think could be the solution to this? and it's there anyone that have had such experience before? please share your thoughts cause I'm really scared of this.
