I feel you should be the principal applicant though you can also get points from partners' assessment since both of you are accountants.

You can use your 5 years experience from your previous employer if you can get reference letter or get a statutory declaration of employment. Your bsc alone should fly if your syllabus covers all required areas. Please check the CAANZ or CPA sites. I assessed with CAANZ.
