LiteratureRe: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Bags French Major Literary Award by Godson222(op): 8:43am On Jul 07, 2017
Godson222:
Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been named one of three winners of Le Grand Prix de l’héroïne Madame Figaro.

The prize was established in 2006 by the French magazine Madame Figaro to celebrate heroines of French and foreign literature. Each year the shortlisted works are selected by the magazine’s editor.

A team of judges, chaired by influential journalist Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, selected one French novel, one foreign novel in translation, and one nonfiction work. “Chère Ijeawele, ou un manifeste pour une éducation féministe,” the French translation of ‘Dear Ijeawele,’ was selected as the winner in the latter category.

Along with Adichie, Alex Stresi was awarded the prize in the French novel category for ‘Lopping’ and Lauren Groff received the foreign novel prize for ‘Les Furies.’

Adichie’s French publisher, Marie-Pierre Gracedieu of Gallimard, commented: “When I read Dear Ijeawele, I felt an urge to share it with many friends, women and men, who had become parents of a girl in the recent years. Then I started to feel it had to be read by parents of boys too. And thereafter by everyone of us to investigate our own education, and try to overcome a few inherited clichés. Therefore to publish it at Gallimard has meant a lot to me, and it is a very rewarding experience to see it awarded the Grand Prix de l’Héroïne by Madame Figaro, a prize that celebrates the power of literature and of characters as role models.

The fact that such an established and popular weekly has understood the importance of spreading the content of this letter-manifesto, even in the Western world, and especially in the political context we are now, brings me joy and hope.”

This was the 12th edition of the prize.

PoliticsRe: Convicted Corrupt Officials Should Be Sent To Sambisa Forest - Ibrahim Magu by Godson222(op): 7:41am On Jul 07, 2017
Godson222:
The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, said a prison should be established in Sambisa forest for corrupt persons convicted in the country.

Magu disclosed this while speaking at the commissioning of the agency’s zonal office in Kaduna on Thursday.

He also appealed to the judiciary to cooperate with EFCC in the anti-graft war, saying Nigeria would make little or no progress if concerted efforts are not made to rid the country of corruption.

He said: “We want to call for the establishment of a prison in Sambisa forest in order to keep away corrupt people from our midst.

“In this case, the judiciary has direct influence to help in the fight against corruption. Concerted efforts are being made by some big Nigerians to neutralise the fight against corruption.

“We must change the narrative by fighting back those who do not want the fight to succeed.

Magu commended the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, for encouraging the commission to establish a zonal office in the state, Magu vowed not to relent in the fight against corruption.

“I remain committed to the fight against corruption and I commend the Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai for encouraging EFCC to establish a zonal office in Kaduna.

“We must, therefore, join hands together to kill corruption before corruption will kill us.

“This is the reason I have suggested that we set up prison for the corrupt in the Sambisa forest, where they can be kept away and have the sobriety to be truly reformed.” Magu said.

CelebritiesWhy I Have Always Supported Nnamdi Kanu - Charlyboy by Godson222(op): 5:03pm On Jul 06, 2017
Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa popularly called Charlyboy has given reason he advocated for the release of leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

During Nnamdi Kanu’s trial, Charlyboy visited him in court and also visited him after his release from prison.

In a post he shared on his Facebook page, he said “For whatever reason, no man deserves to be ilI-treated in his fatherland as Nnamdi Kanu. Hence, the need for my inclusion in the ever-growing calls for his release at the time. I am for equal rights and justice, period.

“Advocating for the okada community doesn’t necessarily make me an okada rider. Advocating for gay rights, doesn’t make me gay.

“Everybody is witness to the several injustices against the Igbo’s, we may differ on methodology. Biafra for me is a mindset. If there was no great injustice in the land, there would be no call for Biafra. So don’t get it twisted.

“Sometime in January 2017, I wrote about my thoughts on the Biafra and the many things my Igbo kinsmen can alternatively dedicate their all to.

“Let it be clear to all that the sufferings and poverty of the People from the South East is also the sufferings and poverty of the peoples from the other geopolitical zones in Nigeria including my northern brothers. Even the nascent anti-corruption fight in the country has seen all tribe accordingly represented.

“Therefore, I conclusively insist that Our Mumu Don Do because; The Failure of Leadership is evident in our agitation for Fairness, Justice and Equality for every Nigerian not just for every Igbo man.

“And so the Mind of the typical Igbo Leader Needs a Revolution so that it can be realigned for the interest of the people rather than the interest of a few.

“Let’s focus on our homeland, Our states, and begin to demand accountability and responsibility from many of our Scammers, Riffraff and Fraudsters in the entire nation.”

CrimeHusband Impregnates Housemaid, Strangles 8-month-old Pregnant Wife To Death by Godson222(op): 4:32pm On Jul 06, 2017
The Plateau Police Command on Thursday confirmed the arrest of Victor Dashit, a 40-year-old man, who allegedly strangled his wife, Irene, who is eight months pregnant.

The command’s spokesman, Terna Tyopev, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that “Victor is in our custody and investigation is on-going. We shall soon take him to court.”

According to him, Dashit is a staff of the National Industrial Court, Jos, who resides at New Abuja area of Jos, killed the wife, a 33-year-old teacher, at their farm in Kangang, on June 2.

Dashit, after killing the woman, called his brother to help him to convey her to the hospital after lying that she slumped few minutes after she complained of feeling dizzy.

A family source disclosed that before the incident, the couple had faced lots of challenges leading to persistent domestic violence.

The source said the situation got worse in May 2016, when the deceased caught her husband in bed with their house help, one Nora, in their home.

“The woman woke up one night sometime in May 2016 and did not see her husband on the bed.

“ After combing the entire house, she peeped into the house help’s room and found her husband on her,” the source said.

He said that Irene sent the girl out of the house, but two months later, the girl came back and told the husband that she was pregnant.

“Nora’s pregnancy aggravated the problems in their marriage; at a point, Irene fled to her parents’ house in Gindiri, but was persuaded to return to her husband’s house by their Pastor.

“The Pastor persuaded her to return in November 2016, after intervening in the quarrel. She became pregnant immediately.

She said that Irene had two daughters, while the baby, a male, removed from her womb after she died, did not survive.

A source at the Air Force Military Hospital, Jos where Irene’s corpse was taken, said that the Dashit who brought the wife on June 2, had claimed that she slumped and died after complaining of dizziness.

“The doctors confirmed her dead on arrival, but rushed her to the theatre for an emergency CS in a bid to save her unborn baby but brought out a dead child,” the source said.

Further investigation by the medics, however revealed marks on her neck, which suggested that she was strangled.

“The doctors quickly reported the matter at the Anglo Jos police station where Dashit owned up to strangling his wife,” he said.

Tyopev, while describing the incident as “unfortunate”, blamed the development on alleged infidelity, saying that Dashit had equally confessed to impregnating his housemaid.

“He confessed to holding the woman by the neck, but said he did not intend to kill her,” he said.

HealthRe: Genotype: No Love Is Enough To Bring SS Into The World, Quit If Not Compatible by Godson222(op): 11:26pm On Jul 05, 2017
Godson222:
My name is chukwuka, a final year law student of ABSU, I’m a sickle cell warrior.

Nobody truly can understand the pains of those living with this ailment, not even the doctors, the pains we endure during crisis is worse than labour pains, we experience pains on daily basis.

It was the day before a special family time(a time all members of my family get to sit together, dine, talk, and share special moments together). I was very excited, yet worried at the same time. I knew in my gut that I would probably be sick by time of the get-together, as the pain (slight) I had been having for days had not let up at all. I was dehydrated and yellow in the eyes (jaundiced) and I just knew it would not be long before I got so weak I would not be able to get out of my bed.

Let me first note that I’ve always been trying to hide my pains from others, (even my family- though I never got to hide it from them, as they already know how I feel, even without telling them). I just never told anyone I was hurting unless I couldn’t take it anymore. I didn’t want to be anyone’s problem,(as I always felt I was a problem to the family, because I was always the only ‘sick person’, spending days and nights in the hospital- being the only child affected by the SCD). My promise to myself even while in school was definitely not to let anyone know my big “secret” (- because it doesn’t tell on my appearance as I’m well built).

I was ashamed of not being normal(as people keep saying “why are your eyeballs yellow?” “do you suffer yellow fever?” “Why are you always sick”) and never wanted anyone else to know this lifelong illness I had.

I cried secretly when I could and tried my best to act normal in front of everyone. I never wanted anyone to find out how vulnerable or weak I actually was. The only good thing I can think of from doing that is that my high tolerance for pain now is so significant!

Anyway, on the day of the get-together, I felt as if I got crushed by a heavy duty lorry. I didn’t want to move an inch in bed(as my legs were losing its strength speedily) but I struggled to get out of it. For those who don’t realize, people with Sickle Cell can have pain almost everyday. That is my reality. For me, EVERYDAY I am uncomfortable somewhere. So, when I got out of bed my facial expression showed I was in pain, as my dad sighted me he said to me “We are going to the hospital right now, you hear me?”. I didn’t even fight it; he just got up and carried me straight into the car(as I could barely walk and was already fighting hard not to burst out in tears, as the pain became so unbearable.)

I ended up being admitted to the hospital that day (as I’ve been known as an “emergency patient” in the hospital) I ended up getting fluids, and different medications through a PICC line I had. After four days of going in and out of drug induced drowsiness and being babysat by my parent interchangeably, I felt good enough to go home.

After arriving home, I began to wonder “why me”, as I’ve had so many visits and stays at this particular hospital and now one of their most popular patients. I kept questioning God why it has to be me, as my parent and younger ones has never stepped into any hospital for treatment. I began to feel like I wasn’t part of the family.

As years went by, I knew more about my problem (Sickle Cell Disorder), the “must do” and “never do” Even though I’m grown now and totally know how to take good care of myself. I owe it an obligation to advice intending couples on the need for genotype compatibility. Yes! There’s known cure for the Sickle Cell Disorder, but you shouldn’t know what it feels like raising a child with such disorder.

I’ve lived in pains and aches for almost all my life, and it’s not an easy thing. Indeed life is beautiful, but you have to paint it as bright and beautiful as you want it to be. And the first step to doing so is by knowing your genotype and getting married to someone whose genotype is compatible with yours.

For those whose relationship ended due to genotype incompatibility. Take heart and be strong, trust me you won’t want to raise a child suffering from Painful episodes (crisis) such as Acute Chest Syndrome, Chronic Pain Syndromes, Vertebral Body Collapse, Leg Ulcers or Arthritis.

Godson222:
Her research aims to develop bio-degradable polymer material using macromolecular science, which could be used as an alternative treatment for chest cancer in the near future.

A female student of African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Sandra Musujusu, has discovered an alternative treatment for chest cancer.

The development was disclosed by the Educational Director of World Bank, Dr. Jaime Saavedra Chanduvi, when he and his team visited the university on Tuesday July 4 as part of his assessment tour of the 10 African Centres of Excellence (ACE) centres.

As part of efforts to encourage conduct of cutting-edge research in Nigeria and the larger African continent, the World Bank has committed about $10 billion for the ACE project in Nigeria.

Musujusu, who is from Sierra-Leone, disclosed that her research focuses on the aggressive sub-type of chest cancer which is common in African women, triple negative chest cancer; but the research might lead to a lasting solution in the treatment of chest cancer for women all around the world.

Her research aims to develop bio-degradable polymer material using macromolecular science, which could be used as an alternative treatment for chest cancer in the near future.

The Pan African Materials Institute (PAMI) is sponsoring the research.

Musujusu stated: “My research is actually centered on the development of bio-degradable polymers for treatment of chest cancer.

“I will be focusing on triple negative chest cancer which is actually the aggressive sub-type of chest cancer that is common with women from African ancestry.

“I believe there is a bright future for Africa, and as a woman there is much more we can do if we are empowered.

“This award given to me by PAMI has empowered me to face my studies with more confidence and actually contribute to the frontier of knowledge and move Africa forward.”

According to WHO, cancer accounts for 13 percent of all deaths registered globally and 70 percent of that figure occurs in middle and low income countries.

In Nigeria, about 10,000 cancer deaths are recorded annually while 250,000 new cases are recorded yearly.

A female student of the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Sandra Musujusu, has developed an alternative treatment for breast cancer.
The scientific breakthrough might lead to a lasting solution in the treatment of breast cancer prevalent among women world over.

This was made known on Tuesday in Abuja when the World Bank Education Director, Dr Jaime Saavedra Chanduvi with his team visited the University as part of his assessment tour of the 10 African Centres of Excellence (ACE) centres.

The World Bank has committed about $10 billion for the ACE project in Nigeria, as part of efforts to encourage conduct of cutting-edge research and specialisation of the beneficiaries institutions in specific development problems faced in Nigeria and indeed the African continent.

AUST is hosting one of the Centres of Excellence, known as Pan African Material Institute (PAMI), with research focus electrical power, disease detection and treatment.
Musujusu’s research, using macromolecular science is aimed at developing bio-degradable polymer material which could be used as alternative for the treatment of breast cancer in the near future.

She revealed that her research focuses on triple negative breast cancer which is the aggressive sub-type of breast cancer that is common with women from African ancestry.

Musujusu, a Sierra-Leonian national is conducting the research under the sponsorship of the Pan African Materials Institute (PAMI).

Out of 19 African Centres of Excellence, 10 Nigerian tertiary institutions won slots to churn out special research works that could compete effectively with global standards.

The ACE universities include Redeemers University, Mowe; Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; University of Jos, Jos; University of Benin and African University of Science and Technology, Abuja.

Others are University of Port-Harcourt; Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife; Bayero University, Kano; Benue State University, Makurdi; and Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

It would be recalled that when the Ebola Virus Disease broke out in Nigeria in the year 2014, one of the ACE centres, Redeemers University served as the testing site before it was brought under control.

Musujusu said, “My research is actually centred on the development of bio-degradable polymers for treatment of breast cancer.”

“I will be focusing on triple negative breast cancer which is actually the aggressive sub-type of breast cancer that is common with women from African ancestry.”

Three persons have been reportedly dead while attending a church deliverance service in a Delta State.

The Police in Delta has confirmed that they died during the deliverance service at a Church located in the outskirt of Warri.

DSP Andrew Aniamaka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, confirmed the incident on Tuesday

Aniamaka said that one of the deceased drowned, while the other two died during prayer session in the church at the weekend.

“The information actually is that one worshipper drowned and two died in the church; that is the information available to me at the moment,” Aniamaka said.

However, a source told newsmen that the deceased were a 10-year-old boy, identified as Emmanuel Odili, Mrs Beatrice Nwachukwu and Mr Antonio Abba.

The source said that the late Odili, on Friday accompanied his mother to the church to worship, but fell into a pit inside the church premises and died.

He added that on Saturday, members of the church found his corpse floating after he had been declared missing by his parents.

He said: “The authority of the church alleged that the deceased had mental disorder which was denied by the parents.

“While the matter was being investigated, some members of the church on Saturday came to report that Mrs Nwachukwu and Mr Abba had died during deliverance in the church.

“They (church authority) said that Nwachukwu slumped during the prayer session; they also claimed she had high blood pressure but the husband denied it. When contacted, the spokesman of the church, Mr Godday Emiko, denied the allegation through a text message.

AutosRe: Petrol Cars Will Disappear In 8 Years, Nigeria In Trouble by Godson222(op): 11:15am On Jul 04, 2017
Godson222:
They are in the wrong business. The next generation of cars will be “computers on wheels”. Google, Apple, and Foxconn have the disruptive edge, and are going in for the kill. Silicon Valley is where the auto action is, not Detroit, Wolfsburg, or Toyota City.

No more petrol or diesel cars, buses, or trucks will be sold anywhere in the world within eight years. The entire market for land transport will switch to electrification, leading to a collapse of oil prices and the demise of the petroleum industry as we have known it for a century.

This is the futuristic forecast by Stanford University economist Tony Seba. The professor’s report, with the deceptively bland title Rethinking Transportation 2020-2030, has gone viral in green circles and is causing spasms of anxiety in the established industries.

Mr Seba’s premise is that people will stop driving altogether. They will switch en masse to self-drive electric vehicles (EVs) that are 10 times cheaper to run than fossil-based cars, with a near-zero marginal cost of fuel and an expected lifespan of 1 million miles (1.6 million kilometres).

Only nostalgics will cling to the old habit of car ownership. The rest will adapt to vehicles on demand. It will become harder to find a petrol station, spares, or anybody to fix the 2000 moving parts that bedevil the internal combustion engine. Dealers will disappear by 2024.

Cities will ban human drivers once the data confirms how dangerous they can be behind a wheel. This will spread to suburbs, and then beyond. There will be a “mass stranding of existing vehicles”. The value of second-hard cars will plunge. You will have to pay to dispose of your old vehicle.

It is a twin “death spiral” for big oil and big autos, with ugly implications for some big companies on the London Stock Exchange unless they adapt in time.

The long-term price of crude will fall to $US25 a barrel. Most forms of shale and deep-water drilling will no longer be viable. Assets will be stranded. Scotland will forfeit any North Sea bonanza. Russia, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Venezuela will be in trouble.

It is an existential threat to Ford, General Motors, and the German car industry. They will face a choice between manufacturing EVs in a brutal low-profit market, or reinventing themselves a self-drive service companies, variants of Uber and Lyft.

The shift, according to Mr Seba, is driven by technology, not climate policies. Market forces are bringing it about with a speed and ferocity that governments could never hope to achieve.

“We are on the cusp of one of the fastest, deepest, most consequential disruptions of transportation in history,” Mr Seba said. “Internal combustion engine vehicles will enter a vicious cycle of increasing costs.”

The “tipping point” will arrive over the next two to three years as EV battery ranges surpass 200 miles and electric car prices in the US drop to $US30,000 ($40,600). By 2022, the low-end models will be down to $US20,000. After that, the avalanche will sweep all before it.

“What the cost curve says is that by 2025 all new vehicles will be electric, all new buses, all new cars, all new tractors, all new vans, anything that moves on wheels will be electric, globally,” Mr Seba said.

“Global oil demand will peak at 100 million barrels per day by 2020, dropping to 70 million by 2030.” There will be oil demand for use in the chemical industries, and for aviation, though Nasa and Boeing are working on hybrid-electric aircraft for short-haul passenger flights.

Mr Seba said the residual stock of fossil-based vehicles will take time to clear, but 95 per cent of the miles driven by 2030 in the US will be in autonomous EVs for reasons of costs, convenience, and efficiency. Oil use for road transport will crash from 8 million barrels a day to 1 million. Post too long, continue reading by visiting link.

CrimeRe: Yahoo Boy Sentenced To 3 Years Imprisonment For Defrauding An American $3,650 by Godson222(op): 8:54am On Jul 04, 2017
Godson222:
Mr Uche Chikelue, the counsel to the defendant, quoting the Holy Bible, asked the court for mercy in sentencing Brown.

An Internet fraudster identified as, Okechukwu Brown, was on Monday sentenced to three years imprisonment for defrauding an American of $3,650 in an online romance scam.

The presiding judge, Justice Josephine Oyefeso, of an Ikeja High Court handed down the verdict after Brown pleaded guilty to the charge.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Brown was sentenced after entering into a plea bargain with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

As part of the terms of the agreement, he plead guilty to a one-count amended charge of obtaining money by false pretences.

The EFCC had also recommended a one-and-a -half year prison term in the plea bargain.

Mr Uche Chikelue, the counsel to the defendant, quoting the Holy Bible, asked the court for mercy in sentencing Brown.

“In Mark 10: 46-52, is the story of blind Bartimaeus, who was delivered by one word — mercy. Like blind Bartimaeus, we are standing on the word — mercy.

“My Lord, the defendant has been well behaved and has co-operated with the prosecution throughout the investigations.

“He has no past criminal record, has never been involved in any crime, he is a first-time offender, and he has refunded all the money stated in the information and has shown great remorse for his actions.

“He has aged parents, who due to his present incarceration, are having serious health challenges.

“He is the first born of the family and the breadwinner, he also has a wife and three children, the last, a toddler.

“My Lord, mercy is not qualified for, we humbly urge the court to temper justice with mercy because we know the court has a discretion to show mercy,” Chikelue said.

Sentencing Brown, Justice Oyefeso said:““In passing my sentence, I have taken into consideration the allocutus (plea) of the defence counsel.

“The court observes that this crime has taken ground in Nigeria and this court has to send the right signals to the public.

“This crime is a dishonour to our country and paints our great country in a bad light; there must be justice for the defendant, complainant and the country.

“I have also taken into consideration that the Criminal Law of Lagos prescribes 15 years in prison for the offence of obtaining money by false pretences.

“I hereby sentence the defendant to three years in prison on the one-count charge of obtaining money by false pretences.

“This sentence begins from March 13, the day he was first arraigned.”

According Mrs V.O. Aigboje, the counsel to the EFCC, Brown committed the offence between Aug. 22, 2013 and Nov. 23, 2013 at Ikeja.

The convict obtained 3,650 dollars online from Mr Thomas Nublin of the United States of America.

“The Lagos office of the EFCC in July 2014, received a petition from the U.S. Army alleging that some persons traced to Nigeria defrauded some members of the U.S. Army of over 13,000 dollars in a romance scam.

“The EFFC investigated and was able to trace some of the funds amounting to 3,650 dollars to EcoBank Plc via Moneygram which was received by the convict.

“The convict, in the course of the investigation, refunded to authorities, the said sum of 3,650 dollars, the money received from the crime,” she said.

Christianity EtcWhat Is "PROPHECY" And What Is A "PROPHET" by Godson222(op): 9:57pm On Jul 01, 2017
……. by Pst Daniel Phaladi

FALSE PROPHETS WILL BE NUMEROUS, AND VERY SUCCESSFUL:

2 Pet 2:2 [NIV] Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

Almost daily I receive inbox messages.,. Pastor Daniel.., how come you are not impressed by the “prophetic”. Are you against prophets? Are there any true prophets that you know? I wrote this article 6 months ago, but I felt that I needed to have some kind of an “Update” on it so as to clarify all these even more clearer. Let us start by this very important question.

What is a prophet?? All these questions will be answered by answering this one question, “What is a prophet”.

Christianity is not something new. It was our Lord Jesus Christ that ushered in the dispensation of “Christianity”. We hear the word for the first time in the book of Acts. Christianity did not begin in 2012, or 2017, The belief on the Lord Jesus Christ began 2000 years ago. After the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, He sent the Holy Spirit In the Church. The Holy Spirit was not sent last week..no, He has been around for 2000 years. In other words we have a SOLID record ,history and patterns of what the Holy Spirit has been doing in the church for 2000 years.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the SAME, Yesterday, Today and Forever. He cannot and will not all of a sudden change in 2016 to make room for unscriptural doctrines and practices. That is why I would like address the most misunderstood and overly abused title of a “Prophet”.

Let me just say this before I begin, because of the importance of this topic I will not cut corners, I will not half cook this article..so you want to not be in a hurry when you are going to read this. Make yourself a nice cup of coffee., or green tea, hehe, but I don’t advice anyone to consume alcohol while reading this article, it needs a sober mind.

I have heard many people trying to compare the “current” prophets to Old testament prophets. I heard one prophet recently saying..”If Moses could kill, If Elijah could kill, If Samuel could kill, and I also belong to the same prophets, I killed that boy!” This prophet was talking about killing another prophet who burnt his anointing oils. He says the prophet died like a chicken, so he killed that boy, He can do that because he belongs in the same class as old testament prophets.

Now let me tell you why it is SCRIPTURALLY IMPOSSIBLE and DOCTRINAL HERESSY to compare the new covenant dispensation “prophets” to old testament “LAW” prophets. The OLD testament prophets were inspired to lay down the word of God, which we now have as the “BIBLE”. Prophet Jeremiah could say new things we have never heard before, and that would form part of the scripture, Prophet Daniel would say NEW things that no other prophet and that forms part of the scripture. But in the Book of Revelations, the Lord Jesus says to John .

Revelations 22:19 I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

THATS IT!!! No more adding or subtracting from the book. All scripture has now received the seal of God and you can’t subtract or add. So there is NO WAY a new testament prophet can come with new things that are NOT in the Bible. Someone was wrote me an inbox that his prophet is above the Bible, so He can implement new things.., hehe.well, I don’t have the energy to address that right now.

The work of the Old Testament prophet like Moses was to Lay down the word which becomes scripture, now that Scripture is “SEALED”, you cant have the Holy Spirit dispensation prophet laying down scripture, which scripture, which Bible is that? So you cant compare your favourite prophet to ANY OLD TESTATMENT PROPHET!! Its just impossible.

Let me prove to you by scripture that no new testament prophet was used to even put one line of scripture. The prophets that are listed in the whole of the new Testament explicitly are the following.. Agabus (Acts 21:10), Barnabas (Acts 13:1) Simeon caled Niger (Acts 13:1)Lucius of Cyrene (Acts 13:1) Manahen (Acts 13:1), Judas Barsabbas (Acts 15:32), Phillip is said to have had four daughters who prophesied – Acts 21:8 He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied, The 2 witnesses of revelations are also said that they will be prophets. And that’s it.  None of the Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ are listed anywhere as prophets.

The Bible says in Hebrews 1:1, God who in times past has spoken to our fathers through the prophets hath in these days spoken to us THROUGH his son, in other words, in other words, this scriptures shows that New Testament prophets will operate differently from Old Testament prophets. The Lord Jesus also said that “ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS PROPHESIED UNITL JOHN”, making a clear distinction between Old Testament prophets and the New Testament prophets.

Don’t you just love the word of God. There is NO CONFUSION in the Bible, because none of these new testament prophets I just mentioned wrote any part of the Bible. NONE.. DOLOLO..ZILCH..

NADA..!

We see the same operation in the church for 2000 years. This is the simplified summary of Christianity for 2000 years. A period from the death of Christ till the Nicean council of 325 AD, also called an Apostolic age, Then we have Nicean council and the 7 ecumenical council from 325 AD to around 600AD, then the Middle Ages till the renaissance age, (800 AD till 1500 AD), then the reformation age, where we saw a man called Martin Luther raise up, and changed the face of Christianity forever. Today when you are not catholic you are called a protestant because of this great man’s work. That is when we saw the Bible first being translated to German and to other languages and the spread of Christianity like wild fire. Ask any Lutheran if Martin Luther was a prophet, they dont even know what you are talking about.. We then also saw an English man named John Wesley, we know his followers today as Weslians or Methodist church, they will tell you John Wesley was NOT a prophet.

None of these men that were mightily used by God in the holy spirit dispensation called themselves prophets, but Christianity is what it is today because of these men.

We then saw then saw the Asuza street revival the restoration of spiritual gifts in the church in 1906, revival started under an African American man called William J Seymour. This man lets make it clear now, he was NOT a prophet, he never called himself a Prophet. Then we saw the biggest revival in morden history called the Welsh revival, this revival in Wales spread through many countries. No one knows how exactly this revival started but it is widely accepted that the Welsh revival was started by a Methodist preacher called Joseph Jenkins he started having church services were the theme was “to depend our loyalty to Christ”. that started the largest revival in morden history.

John Jenkins was not a prophet. The man to regard himself as a prophet in the recent Christian history was a man called Joseph Smith, the founder of what is today referred to as the “Mormon” Church. Joseph Smith says that one day when he was in a cave, an angel came to him..the angel was dressed in white, and the name of the angel was “Moroni”. Another instance we saw a man calling himself a “prophet” rise up in modern Christianity was a man named William Branham. He also like Joseph Smith, had an angel that visited him in the cave. William Branham is today the founder of what is referred to as the “message of the hour”. A group of people worldwide, who hold dearly to his teachings and believe he is “Elijah the Prophet”. William Branham was the first “prophet” to tell people their names, their home address, what they did, ect., He called his ability to tell people their names ect “The sign of the Messiah”.

We then saw the same gift of telling people their names and address in a man called Prophet John Cain, who later offered a public apology for struggling with homosexuality and alchohol addiction. So that is how the “prophetic” as we call it in the church started in our morden day. Joseph Smith and the angel Moroni, William Branham and the angel that accompanied him (he never told people the name of the angel) and Prophet Paul Cain. Todd Bently did describe that an angel came to him and told him that he was the same angel that was with William Branham. The name of Todd Bently’s angel is Emma.

Since the advent of prophets and their angels we have seen serious scary things in the church. We saw people barking like dogs, we saw people rolling uncontrollably on the floor laughing (Toronto blessings), we saw prophets rise up and start to give or sell people annointed items and say those items were anointed. We never saw these things for 2000 years.

We have had revivals, reformations, Christian persecution where more than 100 million Christians died for this gospel in what is called the Spanish inquisition. Now today, we have a million prophets. We have men calling themselves ‘MAJOR’ prophets. Oh Lord help your children. People get told their ID Numbers and credit cards and they call that prophecy. There are 2 pieces of Chicken in your fridge, and people fall and roll on the floor and scream on top of their voices.., because they have been told there are 2 pieces of chicken in the fridge.

That is because many Christians have no intention to even study where Christianity comes from, if Jesus Christ is the SAME, Yesterday, Today and Forever, why don’t they at least find out what Jesus Christ did Yesterday..but no, people don’t want to study. People want financial breakthrough and Miracle money. People want a “prophet” to tell them what they eat last week.

Now many people say, well you speak like this because you cant “prophesy”. Let me address this thing right now. You see, as many of you are aware, I have an 8 year old boy.., who has a gift I have really not witnessed. Of course he can see anyone’s names, addresses, ID’s that’s nothing to him. He actually goes a step further. He can “see” the thoughts and intentions of “prophets” and see what angels accompany them. The Lord has taken him up to the 7th dimension (some call it 3rd heaven, and showed him the Book of life, I speak about this in my post – Is your name in the book of life”.., that is how I came to know that when people say they are being “delievered” is when lower ranking demons are substituted by high ranking spirits.., and the prophet say..”you are free..no you are not free.. your REAL problems are just beginning because your soul is now at stake. I spoke about this also in my post “DID YOUR PROPHET GIVE YOU SUPER DEMONS”.

Now how do these “prophets” do it. Im going to give you a do it yourself (DIY).. hahaha..how to become a major prophet..in 1 day.

You see, inside a human brain there is something called the Pineal Gland. Science has studied this gland and many scientists call it the seat of the soul or the gate to the spirit. Many babies are born with this glad “activated” and that is why is not uncommon to hear a 2 year old saying he/she sees angels, demons, witches..ect. 2 year olds can say things that are going to happen and they happen..haha..I guess many 3 year old are “Major Prophets”. The Pineal gland gets shut when most kids are around 4 to 5 years old. God closes them for a reason. Imagine if we were all seeing in the spirit, nothing would get done, No one will go to the shop,,you will be seeing all these demons everywhere.. and you will just hide under the bed. There will be no one going to work.., imagine you try to get in a bus and you see 100 demons inside the bus driver looking at you. I have heard many cases where some dogs have their pineal glands opened al their life. In other words some dogs can easily see into the spirit world. They will bark and demons.. see angels..ect. I have a friend of mine Helene Fulton who one day while visiting her, told me how her dog barks at demons. (She can also see into the spirit). So are we now going to call Sportie a Major prophet? Because Sporty can see in the spirit??

So because God is an all wise God, he closes our “eyes”, so we can operate by FAITH.

It is impossible without FAITH to please God, not the Pineal gland.

I did not say this in my previous write up, and I have never mentioned this in any of the sermons I have written before, but I was also born with my spiritual eyes opened. My mother has told me many things that I used to say and do from when I was 3 years old. One day my mother tells me when we were still staying in Zeerust, Lehurutshe, I was about 3 years old, She says I went to the other side of the village and went to the house of a certain lady, and I just went straight to the bedroom where she was laying and I said to her.. “God has healed you” and I came back home. That lady then came to my parents and told them what had happened, and indeed the Lord healed her. There was a time my parents were visiting Johannesburg, and before they left Zeerust I remember seeing what was going to happen when they got to Johannesburg. So I said to my mother, Mommy, we will be saying “Where is Jan Smuts, Where is Jan Smuts”, so no one took it serious. So we got to Joburg and got soooo lost!!! The only point of reference my parents had was the airport, which at the time was called Jan Smuts not OR Tambo, so my dad started asking people, Where is Jan Smuts. I don’t remember seeing demons, but I do remember seeing a man with a white robe next to my little cot when I was sleeping.

The “seeing” gift was deactivated from when I was 5. I did ask the Lord why he deactivated the gift, and the answer he gave me was perfect. I was raised in a church that believed only our prophet could have that gift. We called it the gift of discernment. So, we really did not believe any such gift can operate “outside” of our prophet. So my parents would not have been able to guide me and mentor me in growing into this gift because they believed it was “the last sign” given to our prophet. So because of the wisdom that one needs, the word training to operate that gift within the word, He had to deactivate it. However it is different with my son. His gift does not have to be deactivated, because I teach him the word, I teach him humility, I train him to depend on the Holy Spirit and not the gift, because this gift can EASILY be manipulated by the devil.

So the more my son grows, the more I train him in the way of the Lord, is the more the gift expands and grows. The Lord knows that we will not call attention to the gift, but to Him. I don’t care what gift you have, whether its singing, preaching, or seeing in the spirit, the minute your draw people’s attention to the GIFT and not Jesus, I can tell you, you are finished right there.

Just like this habit of “prophets” after telling people their names, they say.. do I know you, do you know me.., how come do I know all this”, what is happening? They are trying to call ATTENTION to the gift..!! Then when you are still mesmerized that someone knows your uncle’s name..haha..there goes your Money.

So like I said, God closes the Pineal Gland on purpose. So we can call on Him by Faith. But we have seen of late, people are not happy with their closed Pineal Glands. No..they want to open it. Everyone is going to and fro asking for their spiritual eyes to be opened. Do they even know the deception that lies in the spiritual world.

If you think this physical dimension is confusing..the spiritual world is FAR FAR FAR More complicated. The chances of people being deceived by seeing in the spirit is far more increased. The fallen angels that accompany these prophets appear just like real angels. Unless God through the Holy Spirit told you that this angel is fake, there is NO WAY of knowing. These beings are mighty intelligent spirits, yet they were deceived by lucifer. To read the complete piece visit the website link.

So people don’t understand this dynamic, no, they want to see in the spirit. People want to prophesy!!! So they ask other “prophets” to impart the gift of seeing in the spirit. Oh Lord, that is where fallen angels go to work. I have heard many people say..”this prophet imparted on me the gift to prophesy”.., I wish they knew what really happened. You now have a ton of “angels” following you, your pineal gland is not activated..and you are officially in trouble!!

In Nollywood, Nigeria’s movie industry, it seems to be a norm for most celebrity marriages to crash, as they rush in and out of it like a fashion trend, most of them are not ready to handle the fame that comes their way, fame makes them look like kids in the spotlight, with fame most times comes the pressure to walk down the aisle.

For most of these celebrities, the problem is that sometimes money makes them view the idea of marriage from the business perspective, it goes to such length as to become a competition amongst peers to measure who hosts the most expensive and most talked about wedding in the country disregarding the preparation for the days after the wedding.

Below are some of the Nollywood celebrities whose marriages crashed:

Funke Akindele/Alhaji Almaroof, Chiege Alisigwe/ Tony Ebbe, Ayo Adesanya/Goriola Hassan, Monalisa Chinda/Dejo Richards, Chuka Ike/Tony Ebieri, Solomon Akinfesi/Lilian, Kenneth Okonkwo/Ogechie Ezekiel and Uche Ogbod of Apo.

EducationLateness: JAMB Will Not Reschedule Exams - Prof Is-haq Oloyede by Godson222(op): 3:24pm On Jul 01, 2017
According to Oloyede, 85,000 candidates slated for the mop-up exam were notified through text messages, emails, publications and also warned candidates against lateness.

We will not reschedule the exam for people who came late – Prof Is-haq Oloyede

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Saturday said there would be no rescheduling of examination for candidates who come late for the mop-up examination.

Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar, made this known in Bwari, FCT, while reacting to complaints by candidates taking the mop-up examination at the board’s Computer-Based Centre (CBT).

The Registrar disclosed that the exam was a supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) being conducted in 170 centres across the country.

According to Oloyede, 85,000 candidates slated for the mop-up exam were notified through text messages, emails, publications and also warned candidates against lateness.

He said “there is nothing you can do … we placed adverts in newspapers, sent e-mails and text messages and if you did not get it, it means that you were not invited for the exam.

“A bulk Short Message Service (SMS) was equally sent to your telephone numbers that you provided during the registration.

“We will not reschedule the exam for people who came late.

Oloyede explained that the computers had been programmed to work under a specific time frame and urged candidates to engage the computers regularly to avoid disruption.

“If you do not use it, it will go off. When you sit and you are not doing anything within that time frame, we also monitor from our system to ensure you that candidates are not cheating,” Oloyede said

PoliticsUnity Is No Longer Needed In Nigeria - Femi Fani-kayode by Godson222(op): 6:06pm On Jun 29, 2017
Restructuring is only the first step and it is nothing but a means to an end. Essentially it is just a temporary and ephemeral palliative. It is a good first step in what will be a long and hopefully peaceful journey to an expected and better end.

Why should we continue to be our brother’s keeper when that brother hates us so much?

The former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, had said that the unity of the country is not needed anymore.

In his recent article titled THE CRY OF THE ALMAJIRI (PART 2), the former minister lambasted the North for their selfish born to rule mentality.

THE CRY OF THE ALMAJIRI

(PART TWO)

To the people of the south-west, south-south, south-east and the Middle belt I say the following.

We must be steadfast and strong. We must look to our God and draw our courage and inspiration from Him. We must take off the gloves and get down to some hard work.

We must forge closer ties and remain united.

We must stand shoulder to shoulder and resist these hegemonist and born-to-rule devils with every fibre of our being.

The Holy Bible says that the blessing of the Lord resides where there is unity.

It tells us that the power of God flows where and when there is unity between believers and when those that share common values and a common world view are in one accord.

That is why the north spends a good deal of its time trying to sow seeds of division between the ethnic nationalities of the south. They feed on and draw strength from our petty rivalries and internal divisions.

Yet the truth is as follows. We all know it but no-one wants to say it. And that truth is that the answer to Nigeria’s problems is not just in restructuring because too much innocent blood has been spilt and shed by our collective oppressors over the last years fifty seven years.

Restructuring is only the first step and it is nothing but a means to an end. Essentially it is just a temporary and ephemeral palliative. It is a good first step in what will be a long and hopefully peaceful journey to an expected and better end.

The final and lasting solution to our numerous problems is either a complete break up of the nation into five or six pieces at the very worse or the implementation of what has come to be known as the “Gideon Orkar” solution where the two core northern zones of the north-west and the north-east are excised and expelled from the federation at the very best.

Either of the two options are fine by me. Too much innocent blood has been shed over the years by the internal colonislists for anything else to suffice.

There can no longer be any genuine love and true fellowship between us. And if we say that there is or that there can be then we are just fooling ourselves and pretending.

Why should we continue to be our brother’s keeper when that brother hates us so much?

The bottom line is that there is no longer any basis for unity between the north and the south.

Between the Hausa Fulani core north and the rest of the country there is no love lost!

The great Greek philosopher Plato once said, “no-one is more hated than he who speaks truth”.

He is absolutely right. Yet despite that I have spoken the truth on this matter anyway and I stand to be corrected. I have spoken that bitter truth because I refuse to be intimidated or to be bound by political correctness.

Love me or hate me and take it or leave it. And despite the hatred and the insults that will come as a consequence of speaking truth, posterity will prove me right and judge me kindly.

Meanwhile I laugh when I read the obscene words and hear the obnoxious and self-serving cry of the almajiri.

They have said that “the Yoruba are chronic backstabbers” and that is an insult that they will live to regret. When will these creatures learn that they need Nigeria far more than Nigeria needs them?

The time of glorifying themselves and feeding their vain and fanciful delusions of grandeur will soon be over.

Until then we shall continue to look unto the hills from whence our help and we shall continue to call on the Lord of Hosts and the Ancient of Days to deliver us from these hateful Arewa demons.

Permit me to end this contribution with the words of Pastor Bayo Oladeji who is the spokesman of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). On 29th June he wrote:

“When we told you that Christians are being marginalised and being descriminated against in the North, they said we are lying. We dare them to publish name of public schools in the North where Christian Religious Education is being taught; name of states where churches are being given the CofO of their land; name of states where Christians are given support for holy pilgrimages as it is being done for the Muslims they are keeping quiet! Yet they are paying lips service to the unity of Nigeria. As long as a group of people or a section of the country are being treated as second class citizens, the unity of the country will remain a mirage!”

May those that dispute the fact that we have a major and festering problem in this country and that unity between the core Muslim north and the rest of the country is nothing but a vain illusion consider Oladeji’s insghtful words.

The great Fench writer and philosopher Voltaire said, “to know who rules over you simply find out who you cannot criticise”.

Those slaves that find it difficult to challenge or criticise the northerners and their numerous excesses and acts of tyranny clearly know who their masters are. May God help them before it is too late.

I would rather die on my feet as a free man than live on my knees as a slave.(CONCLUDED).

FamilyHousewife Offers N120,000 To Quit Marriage, Court Grants 50,000 by Godson222(op): 4:15pm On Jun 29, 2017
The estranged husband said; “Since she is bent on leaving and having spent so much on her and her family, she should pay the stated amount to secure her release.”

“I have tried my best in this circumstance to see that the couple remain one, but the woman stood her grounds,” the judge said.

One housewife identified as Seliat Abeeb, on Thursday in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, offered to pay the bride price of N120, 000 demanded by her husband as a condition for dissolving their five-year-old barren marriage.

Seliat, 33, who lives at Ago Olushola area in Otun, had approached an Omu-Aran Court on June 14, seeking the dissolution of her marriage to Abeeb.

She said: “I was forced to marry him against my will. I know quite well that my husband had spent some money on me.

“I am ready to pay the N120, 000 he demanded as condition for my release. He cannot use the huge amount to deter me from leaving.

“I am no longer interested in the union.”

The estranged husband, Abeeb, who demanded N120,000 as a precondition for her release, had earlier pleaded with the court to assist in reconciling him with his wife but the move was vehemently refused by Seliat.

Abeeb said: “Since she is bent on leaving and having spent so much on her and her family, she should pay the stated amount to secure her release,” Abeeb said.

The judge, Mr Abolade Banigbe, in his ruling, said the court did its best to pacify Seliat but to no avail.

“We have no option than to dissolve the union.

“The case was earlier adjourned for settlement among the parties, but with the turn of event, the court has no option than to dissolve the marriage.

“I have tried my best in this circumstance to see that the couple remain one, but the woman stood her grounds.

“The union between them cease to exist from now,” Banigbe declared.

But the judge awarded the sum of N50, 000 to be paid to Abeeb as against the N120, 000 he demanded.
