Omab22:
Hello everyone,

I have come here to humbly ask if anyone knows who or where I can get a loan for my PhD program in South Korea? I got a scholarship and the only thing limiting me now is finance for the travel fare and accommodation.

I intend to pay back in installments monthly after I settle fully in South Korea. I will start paying back in 4 months after getting there. I have been to different financial institute too and asked close relatives for help but nothing to write home about . All these financial companies won't offer student loans, only Business loans or property loans to salaried people.

I will really appreciate your help please. I've got documents to proof my claims please.
Someone used this pattern to scam people on a UK thread. But I'm not saying that you are the individual

Contact travel agencies like Travelbeta or others and tell them what you are using the flight reservation for, you will be assisted though you will be charged for that.

Or you do the reservation yourself but they won’t give you more than 24hrs that’s why you need an agent for it cos you need reservation of over 24hrs until your document is processed.
.

Oh thank you..
Please check your email

You don’t pay for your itinerary, you will do what is called DUMMY BOOKING that’s flight reservation that should last upto the time your visa application will be decided then if it’s approved, you can pay for the main ticket.
Please, where can I make the Dummy booking?

Hello guys, as part of the visa application requirements..
Do we really need to book a flight reservation and pay before the visa application or is there any way to go around and do flight reservation without paying untill the visa is out?

I'm just wondering...

Are graduate students allowed to do business in Uk.. Business like buying and selling, stock investments, high interest saving bank account, shipping goods to Nigeria etc? Or just 20 hours weekly work only..
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Godsonice(m): 4:35am On Oct 16, 2023
Hello friends..

Does UK immigration allows a graduate international students to register and operate a business while still studying?

Is there a visa category or route that allows UK graduate (foreigners) to become a business founder?

Thank you for your kind response!

There in no answer to this question. Nobody gives you a job because you have a degree, be it cyber security or English literature. They give you a job because you can demonstrate that you have the key skills and strength that they require.

Even Graduate roles, will require you to go through a rigorous screening process, because it's not an experience hire, hence they needed to test your strength and skillsets to be convinced that you have what it takes to be successful in the role.
Thanks I so much appreciate..

MrMash:
I understand your perspective,. However, I don't believe any experience is irrelevant.

What ever you did in Nigeria had skills that are transferable to roles in the UK.

After NYSC in Nigeria, I opened a Barber shop .

I learnt alot about customer service, bookkeeping, resources management, business development and how to manage irate customers.

These skills eventually helped to get a good paying job later. I operated the saloon for just 4 months .

No experience or skill is irrelevant, I am sure you even have some skills you don't know are valuable. Just look inward and find the right professional keyword for your skills and find roles that would require them.

My opinion.
Yeah, I got the clear view now.. Thanks

As a graduate just target graduate roles in large companies like the big 4, consulting firms or engineering firms. That’s the best way to go as they are entry roles requiring no experience.

You can never go wrong with any course on cybersecurity.
Noted with thanks
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Godsonice(m): 3:05pm On Oct 14, 2023
MrMash:
The course you study at master's level does not really influence your chance of getting a job .

The question is how many years experience do you have in these fields? Are you skilled in these fields? In my opinion, you have a greater chance of securing employment with your Nigerian BSc than a UK masters.

My personal experience and experience of people close to me .

If you are not skilled, put more efforts into learning and getting the necessary skills. The UK MSc is just for decoration grin. By the time you get to interviews you will understand. wink
Thank you so much. But you know work experience in Nigeria is almost zero because some of us left the area of studies to do things that are totally different once it pays our bills...

Nothing concern employer with your degree. if you don't have experience for this country. You and your degree will end up in unskilled job last last. Choose any of the courses you get professional experience on. Ire ooo
Thanks so much.. How will a student get the UK experience while still studying?

Hello bro.. Does Taiwan allow international student to apply for post study work permit after graduation?
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by Godsonice(m): 6:11am On Nov 01, 2022
fOFT:
TBVH, it's a dicey question.
Permit me to use myself as an example.
I studied Electronic Engineering and graduated in summer 2017 and I didn't get a job(Internship meant to be converted to full time job after 6 months) until after 1 year - 2018.
To cut the story short, I wasn't given permanent employment and internship isn't taxed by law making it impossible to show any contribution to the society.
I submitted my application but didn't have contract of work for about 6 months and my work permit was put on hold. It was after I got a job(fixed term contract, taxed by law) around October 2019 that I became eligible.
Then pandemic struck and Questura(immigration) and all other institutions had to shutdown.
In summary, my residence permit card didn't come out until June 2020 when the government ease restriction and I used it only for 6 months because it expired in March 2021.
Keep in mind STEM is hot in the western world.
If you're coming to study anything STEM, you'll get something within 1 year although it might not be more than €1000-€1500 per month after tax but it'll definitely sustain you for some time.

All the best!
Thank you once again.

Now let's come to the big question. Can it be possible to follow the student (STEM) path to acquire permanent residence in Italy after graduation?

What about those who do not study STEM and find it difficult to get employment will they be ask to leave the country after the post study visa?

Lastly, do they have a kind of business investment visa category for students who graduates from their university and wished to go into business?

Yes, there is one year post study visa that comes with free health insurance from the government.
Thank you. Within this one year period can someone get employed or you have to go back to Nigeria after the one year period?

TravelRe: Which Bank Still Gives PTA As Cash-Urgent Please by Godsonice(m): 12:56am On Mar 02, 2022
Please at what stage will one get the cash because mine has been approved by ADB disbursement supervisor and I have not been called or debited by the processing bank?
rotile247:
Yes. You don't need to have an account with any banks to be able to obtain PTA provided you have all the requirements according to CBN. You can report any bank that denies you based on not having an account. It's not for bank customers rather it's a provision made by CBN for all Nigerians travelling.

mrprolifik:
It is easier finding a job in the northern part of Italy. In the south there are fewer jobs and higher crime rates (organised crime) . Napoli is not really a good place if you intend to live a good life here in Italy.
