NYSC / Re: Simon Godwin Idoko Made First Class After Writing JAMB 6 Times, Completes NYSC by godwingold(m): 3:14am On Jul 27, 2019

6 years of his life gone with the wind.
It is you that is thinking that the six years were wasted not Simon Godwin Idoko. Within the six years, I did a diploma programme in Computer Studies and Applications and after finishing with distinction, I was retained by the computer institute to impart knowledge to others which I was doing for about two years before I got admission. I taught in two different secondary schools. In fact, some of my students finished service with me two days ago. Now, I have four (4) years pre-university work experience. I learnt haircut in 2012. I won NNPC/Total scholarship and Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) scholarship in 2016. I got close to a million from those scholarships. The scholarship grants helped me in school and they are still helping me today. As for getting a job, don't worry about that. God is in control. Simon Godwin Idoko loves you all!

Didn't you see what I highlighted in bold there?

What the eff do you mean by "more rich"?

That's not the type of grammar one would normally expect from a first class graduate.

That's why your own first class is highly questionable.
Who told you that "more rich" is wrong and who said that it is wrong for a first class graduate to use that? How has your view about its usage represents the views of all human beings?

The current INEC chairman - Mahmood Yakubu graduated with first class and many other persons that graduated with first class and even below first class are working under him. The current JAMB registrar - Prof. Ishaq Oloyede graduated with first class too. What you should know is that if third class cannot stop you from becoming successful then first class won't stop you either. I graduated with first class and there is no regret. Even if you employ me, you will be more rich than me for now and I will also feel that my class of degree is better than yours. In life, you can't be better than somebody in all areas. My advice to people is that, if you have the opportunity to graduate with first class, never settle for less.

wow.... but honestly speaking.... THIS IS A SAD STORY..... 8 timesss?? This is terrible... YES ITS A GREAT NEWS HE GRADUATED.... but his age is no longer employable.... so IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?

The terrible mentality in Nigeria 10 years ago that UNIVERSITY degree is needed before one can secure a bright future has been exposed as a lie.

I hope he uses what he has learned to start business or travel abroad.
Thank you Mr Employer. Go and stop him from doing business too. What do you even know about him? Do you know what he has achieved aside the certificate or he should come and give you a report?

You wanted to mock her and her family but God answered their prayers. If the family decides to give you money, good. If it doesn't, it is good. You said you posted it for fun. Why making fun of somebody's predicament? Nigerians will not give you money because of fun because you are not a comedienne.

Please my people, help a starving brother. I have been pleading for help for some days now. I'm a student who returned to school last week because of the prospects of exams starting on Monday and also because I was opportuned to enter a free ride. my family isn't bouyant enough and my dad has severe high BP that's why I had to find my way so as not to make him to start thinking about where to get money to give me. I haven't eaten a decent food since I got back and am starving.

I am soliciting for help from well meaning people who will be touched enough to hear my plight and have mercy. I am not asking for much, no matter how little, it will go a long way. God bless you all
If you are really starving, you won't have data to post this thing here.

It baffles me whether some people like you use your intestines to think instead of the brains. Is it only from INEC training that one can get involved in a motorcycle accident? Do you know the implication of all corps members refusing to be part of the conduct of the election? Even if they all refuse, is it a guarantee that no corps member may lose his or her life during the service year? My fellow corps member, may your soul rest in peace. It is quite shocking to go too soon.

I can see you're simply a spoilt brat, I have thousand and one people alike working as employees in my firm, receiving salary from me. Literally all have their mindset restructured, rewired after waking up and realizing what time it is. I can't possibly start profiling myself just to buttress your insensitivity, wretchedness and rascality, well one message from me to you, never take everyone you see here lightly probably because you're seeing just posts from a faceless fellow. NL houses bunch of "greatests" in life endeavors.

Like I said I won't batter words with you till you're done serving and of course seemingly matured to hold talks as this, so I will let this slide and act like the convo never existed in the first place.

I wish you all the best boy...

It's telling on you already, regardless of how learned you think you are, u still deem it fit to start your so called justifications with poor morale display, must u start abusively before conveying a point.

Well you're still a corper so I won't really batter words with you yet till you're done serving, so wait till you're qualified enough before displaying your poor and unethical home training in my mentions. You're still a so called government pikin getting #19800 for doing absolutely nothing. You're a teacher, blah zayh blah, forgetting there are people that are doing PPA already in a multi national firm and other top organizations regardless of the content of their certs. I am pitying you if have your hope of livelihood on Corel draw that even a primary school leaver can ace on.

Corper try get sense small now, haba!
Some people's PPAs are multinational companies but you didn't serve there. Keep saying "some people" and remain where you are. Some people's PPAs are also primary schools. Don't pity me because I'm not as poor as you are. Besides nairaland, which other place can I read about you online? I didn't stop you from graduating with first class so don't be angry at me. Can you also stop me from doing business if I choose to? Go and sleep.

Congrats I may say, but without mincing words I can confidently state it that first class is just as good a poo in a clime like Nigeria except of course your FAM is well placed in the society. Most broke folks from my set in school are the first class holders, the third class and even the pass are just doing the most, exceedingly great. This is simply because they keep deceiving their selves with certs, whereas the so called "failures" put in work at all cost knowing fully well they have nothing to resort to except hustling n striving their way to the top.

Certificate with no sabificate na scam especially in Nigeria.
Your level of reasoning is too low. Who told you that first class graduates concentrate only on certificates? I graduated with first class too. Prior to gaining admission into the university, I taught in two different secondary schools excellently well. I have taught in a computer institute. I can draw you using CorelDRAW. I'm a serving corps member in a university where I'm currently rendering assistance to a lecturer. No one is complaining that I have not been doing well. Many first class graduates have different stories to tell you. I'm sure that you will meet a first class graduate who will still perform better than you in your place of work. Appreciate academic excellence and stop writing what you know nothing about.

WRONG NOTIONS OF SOME PEOPLE ABOUT FIRST CLASS GRADUATES AND SIMPLE CLARIFICATIONS IN THAT REGARD:
1. Some people think that first class graduates should be inventors. Clarification: Invention is not a criterion for the award of first class degrees. Anyone can be an inventor even if the person haven't been to the classroom.
2. Some people are of the opinion that first class graduates are good crammers. Clarification: If this statement is true, let everyone cram and let's see if everyone would graduate with first class.
GRADUATE WITH FIRST CLASS IF YOU CAN.
Benefits of Graduating with First Class/Being a First Class Student:
1. Many first class graduates got scholarships at their undergraduate levels. A first class graduate of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto identified as Simon Godwin Idoko who took UTME six times prior to getting admission shared his story in April this year. He pointed out that he won the NNPC/Total scholarship as well as the PTDF scholarship.
2. First class graduates are hardly unemployed. Ayodele Dada who graduated with a perfect CGPA of 5.00 from UNILAG got a job almost instantly after graduation.
3. Most first class graduates are usually posted to universities during NYSC as their PPAs while second class upper to pass graduates are usually posted to polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education, secondary and primary schools.
CONCLUSION: It is not easy to graduate with first class so first class graduates should be respected.

It is apparent that you have hate issues. You seem to have a serious problem absorbing perspectives within the context of usage and interpreting such correctly too. Don't you think you're less than average in intelligence to think that I don't know that "oya" is not standard English Language word? You sef follow for the ITK crew. Itz "English-language word" not "English word" as you have used it above. English is a demonym for a person who comes from England. It's not the same as a language. #olodo
Who told you that the phrase "English word" is wrong? The "English" used is an adjective that qualifies the noun "word" which is also synonymous with "English-language."
