Before and immediately after Nigeria' s independence, hasn't there been religion? So, look beyond religion. Multiple factors (including bitter politics and tribalism) are at play here.

Actually I didn't read the post but I think the girl has no right to beat up her boyfriend in public. Maybe they should report the matter to their village elders but if the neighbor refuse to pay the rent, they should just kill the landlord & forget about the missing car.

Why would he do that? If he wins the case, it will help force the law enforcement agencies to respect the rights of Nigerians. It will teach them to raise their game and operate professionally.
