As for me, I do not claim to understand as I am no economist. I did not study that.
For an economic layman like me, the observation I am trying to make is that when such huge industry making exports happens around the world there is usually a commensurate effect in the economy, Afterall should it it earn foreign exchange for the country?
Same way there is an increase in the price of crude, Angola currency gained 20% against the $$, Russia, despite sanctions the rouble has returned to pre war value ie 81 to the dollar from 140.
My question to you an economist that understands, why is ours different and naira is keeps loosing despite eg the huge oil gain. Our budget is based of $50, oil is above 120.
I do not claim to know about economics, neither am I arguing with you. What you should be kindly doing is educating those of us willing to learn to understand better.

That is not how capitalism works. In USA for instance you must give out some percentages of your earnings as a billionaire to charity otherwise you risk facing sanctions. Money was created so it can be maintained in circulation!!

There is no law that compels anyone to do charitable work anywhere in the world.

However, for corporate social responsibility, and for good public image, charity is encouraged by way of tax deductions.

I should be less worried because the polls have lost it's integrity a long time ago. My preferred candidate cannot win his party's primaries because he is not ready to pack 5 billion naira to dash to one person for vote. I supported Buhari because I never heard of him looting and I believed he was disciplined. That I am trapped in this country today is because of Buhari's clueless policies. I could remember having an argument with my brother and he told me he prefers Atiku because he is innovative and is more posed with 21st Century trend. Will Obi give me food? The 8years he ruled in Anambra did he give me one Kobo?
All I am asking for in governance is, let naira have value, let quality education be given to all so people can be skillful in their field of passion and they can be gainfully employed as well, let there be diversity and employment so people can do what they love and earn a good living from it. Let looting be disbanded and slammed with life sentence. With these, there will be less crime. We are tired of hearing FG allocated 167 billion naira to curb banditry. FG borrowed 657 billion in naira to feed the poor. Me I am tired of working too many peanut jobs just to make ends meet. Am even tired and afraid of running from pillar to post make I no loose my life one day.
If you are presenting Tinubu, let Tinubu tell us what he can offer, not telling us he will send 50million Nigerian youths into military.

And dangote produces 3 million metric tonnes a year.
If he exports 2.5 million metric tonnes, we should be getting atleast $8-$10 billion/year.

In that case, you need to observe the economy for a minimum of 3 quarters to see the trend.
