TravelRe: Been To Uganda Before? by Goldenskin: 2:10pm On Jul 09, 2015
Did someone just say u don't need a visa? You can only apply for your visa in Abuja. What you'll get is an east African visa that gives u access to Rwanda and Kenya. I just came back from Kampala so I may be able to help.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Entry Level Salaries Of Companies In Nigeria by Goldenskin: 10:30pm On Oct 10, 2014
In an earlier page someone was comparing KPMG and pwc in terms of take home. I will like to emphasize here that the pay is almost same and in fact that of Kpmg is slightly higher.

Please note that in kpmg, bonus of about 250k is paid in February, leave allowance of abt 200k in April, dress allowance of abt 100k in Aug and 13th month of about 150k in December for all entry level staff. Moreover lunch with proper desert (pepper soup, icecream, fruits etc) is served. All these perks are not available in pwc. The monthly take home is all they get.

Always make your conclusions based on the gross pay not monthly take home. I can bet the gross on kpmg's employment letter is higher.

I enrolled for a post graduate course at The National Open University of Nigeria last year. I intend sitting for the exams in September but I have been finding it difficult to complete my TMA (which accounts for 30 - 50% of the total scores) on the portal. Please anyone with experience should assist me. Thanks
EducationRe: How Did You React When You Had First "A" & "F" In The University? by Goldenskin: 12:56pm On Jul 23, 2014
I still remember the result of my 100l first semester exams. All As GP 5.0, mehn I was confused. Thought it was a typographical error so I just kept mum and didn't tell anyone until I confirmed from my course advisor some days later. It gave me bragging rights for a semester wink, I was the only person with that kind of result in my department.
By the way, I never had F all through my stay in school.

EducationRe: Most Expensive Private Universities In Nigeria Unveiled by Goldenskin: 10:27pm On Dec 22, 2013
I don't understand why anyone should compare the fees of private unis to the government owned counterparts. All expenditures in private schools are funded solely by the students' school fees. Salaries, buildings, labs, power generation plants, fuel, ICT, furniture, roads etc

Federal and state schools receive allocations to the tune of billions of naira from the government, the salaries of the lecturers and other non teaching staff are fully borne by the government. Its not just enough to state the high fees in private unis, we also need to understand why the fees are high
BusinessRe: Why Can't Jumia Offer Same-Day Delivery? by Goldenskin: 3:06pm On Oct 26, 2013
Delivery is actually between 3 to 5 days. I have ordered twice at Jumia and I got my orders on the third day. It is unrealistic to expect same day delivery.

This is definitely not a Covenant University classroom or hall. Ɣ☺u dare not go to the classroom with a cellphone, so am wondering how the picture was taken. People should always verify stories circulated by bloggers seeking for traffic to their site before commenting on such stories .

Nollywood is actually picking up and not all the movies are as bad as majority of Ɣ☺u think.
FamilyRe: Woman Delivers After Two-Years Pregnancy by Goldenskin: 7:28am On Jun 13, 2013
Which God are Ɣ☺u people thanking or referring to? Because am confused. The lady clearly said u used 'diabolic'abi na traditional means to get pregnant. The story reeks of lies, the herbalist only gave her herbs to make her stomach big that was why the scans revealed nothing. A similar story was placed on Nairaland some weeks ago.
IslamRe: 12-year-old Caned For Wearing Hijab Out Of Class by Goldenskin: 3:05pm On Feb 23, 2013
LagosShia: 1 Corinthians 11:6

"If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head".
This flows from verse 5 which Ɣ☺u omitted

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered

However, 43 strokes of the cane for anyone is wicked and barbaric.
CrimeRe: 25 ABSU Students Arrested For Cultism by Goldenskin: 10:28am On Feb 09, 2013
Reminds me of my friend while I was still in school. He occasionally had terrible migraines that made his eyes red and renders him useless for hours. He later told us that some years ago in another school he got to the final stage of being initiated into a cult which involved hitting him on the head several times with planks. He passed out before the end of the process and was unable to conclude the initiation process. That was the genesis of the migraines.

Don't know why their initiation processes have to be this wicked and inhumane.

biolabee: Thanks.

Damn and this one thinks god will favor her own children after subjecting an innocent child to such pain.
I'm sorry dear Golden may you live long and sure Amen
FamilyRe: Nanny Caught On Camera Slapping A 5-month-old Girl by Goldenskin:
Nanny? I still get shivers when I think of them. I was a very sick baby while growing up, I was always rushed to the hospital for the same thing 'intestinal infection'. I almost died once. Also whenever my mum comes back from the office and carries me or touches my bum I scream. Anyway she later discovered that anytime she shouts or annoys or reprimands the maid she hit me repeatedly on my bum and fed me with faeces(I was less than 1).

That I am still alive is a testimony. And yes the weekly visit to the hospital stopped when she left
