I have a fully funded PhD offer from Concordia University, Montreal; a family man with a wife and 3 kids - one is a US citizen. I am a mature student at 41. I have a Bsc (2005) and 2 Msc degrees; one each from Nigeria (2007) and the USA (2012). I work as a research/data management consultant and applied alone for my student permit using family as main home ties. I hope to add my family via SOWP afterwards. I received a total of CAD $101,656 guaranteed funding from 3 internal sources - a tuition waiver, a scholarship, and a fellowship. There is a $6,700/year that I am eligible for but need to apply for it upon arrival if I want to.

Don't be confused about it. IRCC has stated that it will not refuse applications for non-compliance and it will continue to accept and process applications that are in progress at its case processing centres in Canada and around the world.

Moreover, when it comes time to submit biometrics, applicants will actually have 90 days to complete this step instead of the usual 30 days. Additionally, you can raise a CSE for extension of the biometrics.

The COVID-19 pandemic doesn't stop you from applying for your visa. The IRCC online portal is active and applications are still been processed by the Visa officers at the Canadian embassy. Kindly refer to my previous post about the subject matter and the source from IRCC news.

Hello please I am a silent follower of this forum since last year, I went for my visa interview last December and was denied so I’m planning on going for another interview this February and I am begging you my brothers and sisters in this forum to please help and advice me on how to avoid been denied this second time I will also appreciate anyone who can help me with pre interview before my interview, I have gone through several transcripts and I notice people getting help and advice... @lagosismyhome @princeG23 @Wallspring @ELDeeVee
