Is there a subsisting agreement that regulate the terms of tenancy? if yes, the lenght of the notice to quit will depend on that but if no, the law required the landlord to issue u with 6months notice to quit, being that you are a yearly tenant and anything less than that is ultravares except you are owing arrears of rent. I write to bare my mind on the propriety of the Acts establishing some tertiary institutions in Nigeria that allowed the institutions upon allegation of malpractice to set up a committee from it owns cronies to spearhead the panel that will determine the fate of their victim. My question is that; isn't it contrary to the fundamental and general principle of equity which frawns at one being a judge in one's case going by the recent expulsion of 54 students by the authority of Uniabuja coupled with similar cases in other quarters . However, most of our tertiary institutions had run foul of this fundamental principle of fair hearing being that the institutions involved ought to have allowed an external body to preside and oversee the panel in order to conform with the principle of equity and fairness.

Thank to the rain that fell within FCT environ last night which has served as a solace to the residents of FCT. The heat in FCT was at it height and may probably lead to the sickness called heatstrok owing to the intensity of the heat. Even while in the office one found it difficult to concentrate because of the scorching weather amidst the epilepsy power supply that doesn't last for thirty minutes. In the office I work, due to the intensity of the heat, I was surprised to sight the Secretary sitting under the fan when the generating set was on.
