The decision you have taken is okay. It not necessary nor advisable for a guy to have a girlfriend before marriage. Sexual intercourse is only allowed in marriage and not outside marriage. Sexual intercourse with an unmarried lady or girl is fornication and having it with a married woman is adultery and both of them are condemned by God. In 1 Corinthians 6: 18-19, the Bible says: "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (outside) the body, but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? In verse 10 of the same chapter, it says: "Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid!" Then see what it says in verse 9: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolators, not adulterers ......... shall inherit the Kingdom of God."

You now see from the above that having a girl-friend with a view to having sexual intercourse is not allowed by God who created you and myself. Go ahead with your plan to get married which is the only medium God allows for having sexual intercours and you will be free from eternal damnation on this issue.

If Jesus Christ can extricate himself from the politics of his days, why don't we follow his footsteps? He was to be made King of Israel, but he rejected, saying "my kingdom is not of this world". As Christians, we are in this world, but not a part of this world. If we really want to be a part of this world and be enmeshed in it, then we find ourselves automatically becoming enemies of God. The fact that the Catholic Church is involved in politics is immaterial. What is more important is that are they following the footsteps of Jesus in this regard? Politics and religion, especially the Christian religion, are not good bed-fellows.

I am really surprised at Pastor Bakare;s foray into politics. He was divinely called to shepherd the flock of God and give them spiritual food at the right time, but right now, he has chosen to leave his first love, his calling and ministry and decided to move into the murky and dirty waters of politics. Since he failed, he has been at the fore-front of antagonising the present federal administration, so, what do you expect? If the SSS has decided to invite him for questioning for his statements, it is not new. He invited them. Politics in Nigeria is a very dirty game and any Man of God who thinks he can turn the situation around is only kidding himself. At the top there are many vested interests and these interests are conflicting in nature, so, even if Bakare becomes the President, he will mess up himself as a Man of God. Tell me, if he becomes the President today, how will he take care of the flock of God? Has he forgotten what is stated in 1 John 2: 15-17? His Master, Jesus Christ refused to take up the rulership of Israel, but chose to complete the assignment given to him, As Pastor Bakare forgotten all that?

No doubt, we are in the last days and the Bible had predicted that many will fall by the way side as a result of worldly attractions and temptations. It is not too late for Pastor Bakare to retrace his steps and focus on his God-given assignment.

Hi, solidbroda, It is really unfortunate for you to express the view that you may no longer believe in God. I believe that if you had had a better understanding of God, you would not have made that expression. In the first place, God never created evil. Satan, as we know him now, was one of the archangels of God, called Lucifer then. See Isaiah, 14:12-15. Unfortunately, Lucifer rebelled against God and was ejected from the Heavenly world and sent packing to the earth and from that very moment of his rebellion, he opted to be Evil. See Rev. 12: 7-9.

When man was first created, God placed him in a comfortable environment - in the Garden of Eden and gave him authority over every living creature. Man was to take care of the Garden and be obedient to God who created him, but Satan came calling, deceived man who eventually disobeyed God. No father would want his child to disobey him, nor would a father give his young child freedom to behave the way he wants. No! A child has to live according to the dictates of his father until he became a full adult. Even then, a father will continue to give wise counsel to his son. While man was created a free moral agent, he was not completely independent from God. God created man, the entire universe and every other living creature, so we are all answerable to God.

Despite man's disobedience to God, our loving God still made a way for us to be reconciled back to Him, by sending Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son to die to atone for our sins. John 3:16. The opportunity we all have now is to believe in Jesus Christ, be saved and get fully reconciled to our loving Father - the Almighty God.

I will advise you to attend a Bible believing Church and as you get closer to God, you will definitely understand Him better and eventually reverse your opinion of Him. Remain blessed in Jesus' name.

Hi, afam4eva, corruption has really eaten very deep in our political fabric, such that it cannot just go away without some form of complete turn-around by our greedy politicians. Nigerian politicians have still not understood the meaning of governance except a tiny few who are really trying hard to deliver what they usually refer to as the dividends of democracy. The Nigerian political system has the power to soil even a born-again leader because politics is not practised in isolation, but with a collection of strange bed-fellows. Remember, what the late Owelle of Onitsha, the Rt Hon Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe said, there are no permanent friends nor enemies in Nigerian politics.

Unless God's Kingdom is eventually established, corruption in Nigeian politics nor even in advanced countries will ever end.

I really do not know the type of relationship you want to have with either of them. Was it for the usual Nigerian type of boy-friend/girl-friend type of relationship or for marriage? If it is for the former, I would advise you to jettison that idea, but if it is for the latter i.e. marriage and you are really interested, then take time to find out if either of them is really serious to having a long lasting relationship with you provided neither of them is truly engaged. On the other hand, if you have really decided to put them behind you, then take your time to look for that flesh of your flesh which the good Lord has provided for every man. Just not rush into it.
