first bank don come again with their charges....
who uses first bank to bid, and what percent were you charged for fees. 0.125% only on interest? or is there more coz I'm down by almost 7grand
..From what I was made to understand by my account officers at FBN,there is not meant to be any charge on your TB..I wasn't charged any fee and my bid went through(FBN)..So go to your FBN bank and ask them to provide explanations..
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by gory24: 1:20pm On Oct 20, 2016
Got 17.8% for 1 yr..FBN..Did any1 get a higher rate for 1yr,irrespective of the bank? If yes,pls state which bank..
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by gory24: 9:48am On Oct 20, 2016
gory24:
..its actually correct..with that your interest,my best guess is FBN's stop rate for 91 days was 13.6%..Three months it's equivalent to 1/4 of a year,so (1/4 * 13.6%)=3.4%..3.4/100=0.034..0.034*800000=27200.Thats a rough calculation..

kindly help me calculate this, I placed a bid on FBN at the banks determined rate a sum of 800k and got 28k... that's like 3.5% I feel something is wrong somewhere, can someone please enlighten me... it's 91 days...

my bid was successful with First Bank.... 13.7% for 91days ....my interest was credited today..... thanks to all the gurus in the house..... you've all really contributed in one way or the other to this successful bid coz I knew nothing about Tbills in the last ten days.

Congrats..When did you put in your bid.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by gory24: 7:27pm On Oct 04, 2016
So I went to First bank today, armed with all the informations I have gathered from this awsome thread.I watched and smiled as the banking officer tried to play smart on TB rates, and then I started talking, when iwas done, the Lady said; "Oga I think you should have been a banker" grin..God bless the brilliant minds that started this thread,as I was a rookie in TB when I came in here,nw I am very well informed..Thanks to every1 for keeping this thread alive..JahBless.

How did you calculate the figure to conclude its robbery.

Imagine TB of 1M @18% for 1 year. Interest is N180, 000. Now 0.125% of 180k is N225. This one no reach two bottles of Malt. How is this robbery Pls?
..
Okay nice explanation you did there grin..Your right,I thought it's was 0.125% of your capital..Tanks for the brkdown..Cheers

I think it's 0.125% of interest value and N300 commission
..0.125% of interest value!!! That's robbery o..I doubt if it's that much..

As I mentioned they look utterly unserious and unorganized. Some people in the following roles received offers in august including: network surveillance, procurement, telecoms. And yes, some have started. For all you know they've marked down their candidates, and just using this exercise to fulfil all righteousness.

lets see how it plays out/

Hmm..

I think u should go for the interview. u can then explain yourself to them when you get there. just my own opinion. it's better to be told the mail was an error, than for you to miss the interview.

Please go for the interview..When I did my 2nd Interview, the expatriate told me point blank that positions for telecom engineers are all occupied,i was drafted into a more Civil-Engineering oriented role, which is my study area..So my best guess is that, dey have assigned you to another role, given that the one you applied for is already filled.Go for the interview, and also do well to state to your interviewer the role you had applied for..Good Luck..

120k is quite small for experienced positions. That's the salary range for a graduate trainee..I had their FSE gets paid between 180k-200k..Unless they are dropping their pay structure drastically due to the unstable economy in the country..Buh 120k small o grin

Sorry my response came in late, It was a long journey from IHS head office to my area close to badagry and I had to join our church program afterwards

Now for the interview!
There is no much difference BTW this one and the first one we had at workforce, except that we are kinda fewer, like 10 people with different interview time, and this time around, the questions came from one white folk dat looks European.

Still questions abt my CV which they have a copy already, what u can do for them, ur experience etc. It was not in any way technical, no salary discussion, jst like d first.

So to all those expecting their soon! no need to panic, go in there with all d confidence u need, and God shall see us all thru! Amen

Nice1 Bruv..Wish you all the best..*cheers

Hello house..Lets please try to help ourselves. It won't cost anything to offer useful help to one another, and it dosnt mean we are limiting our chances by doing so..that been said,a frend of mine who went for the interview 2day said they were few,nt upto 20 in number..He also said the question his interviewer asked him were basic personality questions..The interview was a short1,frm the feedback he gave to me..So my guess,is that they are going to continue the process..Goodluck to evry1..*cheers
