ABAT already has about one third of the delegates in his kitty. About ten states and at least about four going by the four governors insisting on him as the most appropriate consensus candidate.
WHICHEVER WAY THIS WENT, APC IS STUCK WITH THE Tinubu PHENOMENON. ANYTHING ON THE CONTRARY, APC AS A POLITICAL PARTY CAN KISS THE PRESIDENCY A GOODBYE.
It is good to be strait forward with your word. Else, APC would not have found itself in the mess they ae in, currently.
WHY SELL FORMS TO ALL TOM DICK AND HARRY. WHEN YOU KNEW YOU WILL BE GUNNING FOR A CONSENSUS CANDIDATE.

It will take Nigerians voting overwhelmingly for a different candidate to overturn Buhari's choice. Know this and know peace. And we will vote for his candidate once he wins the primaries |

RHMSTECH: Ode, shey joe Biden no go through primaries ? Hilary didn’t?? Obama didn’t?? Trump didn’t ?
Even buhari himself went through primaries, what we see here is a president that’s afraid of losing party control to a man that’s way more intelligent than him. If e sure for buhari, he should test his popularity at the primary and see why he lost 4 consecutive times until he met city boy. I don’t really care if Tinubu gets the ticket, I am just interested in ACN faction producing the presidential candidate because APC is a marriage between CPC and ACN. Buhari is a product of CPC, it’s time for ACN and I wouldn’t mind TINUBU or Osibanjo. South east has been with PDP since 1999, APC doesn’t owe them shit, let them solve their own problem with Labor party. Y’all go soon need green card to stay for Lagos very soon, and those ones wey dey north go dey seek asylum very soon. Let’s move a city boy or star boy to asorock, una dey yarn rubbish. APC is a marriage between CPC, ACN, ANPP, APGA and nPDP. APC owes ACN nothing, everybody and units that contributed to PMB'S victory have been settled. PMB will choose his successor just as Tinubu has been doing in ACN even till now in Lagos APC. Anybody that objects should get in the ring and contest. I can bet you PMB'S candidate will go through just as Tinubu's and governors candidates have been going through. The worst your likes will do is to decamp or do anti party if no Yoruba man wins |

He can only pick and name who he wishes to fly the party's flag in the coming election, but picking/electing a successor to take over from him is solely in the hands of voting populace Yo are right but PMB is very influential in North |

Chimaraymond455: A fellow SS governor made sure that Nyesom Wike doesn't clinch the PDP ticket. ... This gov is Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state who worked silently to stop Wike. And Okowa is justified for his action. I will explain why.
Wike has been a PDP man since 1998. He knows Rotation is in his party's DNA. He knows that if he and other Southern PDP leaders had insisted on Zoning to the SE, it would have happened. But Nyesom Wike diluted zoning for his own gain.
Nyesom Wike knew it was the turn of the SE, yet he betrayed the SE out of greed and selfishness. Twice, the SE had stood solidly with GEJ, SS & PDP. In fact South Easterners are hated so much by Buhari & APC because they gave support to GEJ, SS & PDP.
Now that the SE should be repaid by the SS, Nyesom Wike wouldn't allow it. And fellow SS Gov. Okowa, wasn't happy about it.
So Wike put his personal ambition ahead of the SE zone. Atiku offered to step down if PDP zoned to the South East. But personal ambition wouldn't allow Wike make that concession. So here we are, the whole South is at risk of political slavery.
Finally Wike talks about betrayal. Let it be known that it was Wike that betrayed the South. He is now acting as if he was in it for South. Which South?? His own part of the South produced the last PDP president; why didn’t he support a candidate from the South that hasn't produced a president before (SE).
Instead he was going round shouting ‘give me pawa’. The South never adopted Wike as their presidential candidate. Instead, he used Rivers state funds & his grip on the PDP to force himself.
He hijacked PDP in the SE, created confusion which forced Peter Obi out of the party. Wike was very selfish. Some govs of SS worked against you, not against the region. You don’t represent the region. I stand with Gov. Okowa for stopping you.
My advise to Wike is to make amends with his brothers in the Southern PDP whom he offended. And redeem himself by supporting the SE. Thanks for this clarification, it's a pity some elements in South don't believe in justice and equity while at the same time demanding same from the north. Serve us right in the South. The injustice meted to SE by their brothers may make North to retain power by 2023 if care is not taken |

TheRealestGuy: How many votes did ACN (which metamorphosed from AC and AD) ever win its all its years of existence?
Now compare that with how many votes CPC had been garnering from 2003 up until 2015.
In there lies your answer as to which party formed the major bedrock of APC voting power over the last 7 years.
It is a known law of power to know when to stop even when one is winning. Tinubu has overplayed his hand and will be thoroughly disgraced.
Enough said. Tinubu worked against Akeredolu when he won the primaries in his first tenure. He did anti party and they just overlooked him He insisted that Oyegun must be removed, they allowed him had his way because of PMB'S 2nd tenure. Immediately his boy Oshiomhole misbehaved, they sacked him and that was the day PMB took total control of APC and his beloved son Mai Mala Buni took over PMB'S son will still pick the ticket by Tuesday. SamJel: I'm not sure the governors got the coded message from Buhari.
What Buhari was tryna say is that the governors should support whichever candidate he nominates and anoint as his successor during and after the convention.
I don't understand the governors' attempt to nominate a candidate for Buhari when he already has someone in mind and his decision CANNOT be changed. They got clearly but they need to play politics first He gave them a puzzle which only him can unravel By the time he comes back in a few days time, he will just ask them what they came up with. He will then veto it and everybody will fall in line As per the contestants most of them are from his political family and are beneficiaries of his govt. Once he gives direction most will follow apart from Tinubu . If he fails to abide by PMB'S decision he will be asked to contest and will be roundly beaten This is where the game is most likely to go to |

festacman: I would rather that APC conducts proper primary to reflects the values of democracy.
Interestingly, the irony in the Pres. Buhari's reciprocity clause is the following: The BIG MAN who for years has been determining the political career of other people will have the most crucial point in his political career determined by another person.
I don't know if this is karma or fate.
I am sure most of his former acolytes like Banire, Afikoyomi, Sarah Sosan, Mamora, GUS Solomon, Ambode, Aregbesola, etc who lost out through his political decisions will be beaming with smiles.
I hope this ambition won't destroy Tinubu like it did to MKO Abiola because Jagaban doesn't look like someone who is ready for any reciprocity bullsh*t. Jagaban can contest if he wish to despite the consensus stuff. This is the first time that he is going through an election after becoming an emperor and king maker in Lagos.
