Like all other cases of abuse involving the police and judiciary, this case would never be reviewed and investigated - especially because it affected a ‘nobody’ in the society. All erring police officers have their godfathers. Or can someone tell me why the noise about James Nwafor of Anambra SARS died down naturally? |

There was once a case of multiple deaths as a result of stampede at an FG recruiment exercise some years back. Why were there no arrests made then?
It is wrong to make scapegoats of well-meaning private citizens whose sincere and noble intentions were simply to make the society better and put smiles on faces of fellow citizens.
I agree with Peter Obi! The government is to blame for creating an atmosphere of extreme hunger and poverty.
All these baseless arrests are diversionary. Chikenah! |
Politics › Re: ₦935/Litre Petrol: Labour Faults New Price, Demands Further Reduction by gracealonev: 7:33am On Dec 24, 2024 |
I’ve mentioned it repeatedly - It amounts to self-deceit to expect Dangote to sell to you at fair prices. The MD of Dangote Cement once promised that cement prices would crash below N1,000 immediately Obajana took off. Now, we know better. It’s been BUA driving the price reduction efforts.
You can only expect good prices when BUA and other big refineries commence production.
You can relate it with this scenario - Imagine MTN is the only Telco in Nigeria and Coca-cola the only bottling company. Imagine! |

Nigeria is truly a funny country. It took this long for everyone to know that the states should control whatever is on the residual list. And now that the FG has tasted the free funds there, I expect a counter-response from them.
Different levels of government fighting over the funds they could grab from gambling activities. Meanwhile, nobody is taking the responsibility or initiative to salvage the lives and families that are being continually destroyed by gambling addiction. |

Caseless: The case should be revisited. Miscarriage of justice is the highest injustice anywhere in the world.
As for those who would call Nigeria for something like this, it happens even in America, too. You are sounding like an activist! If only you know the percentage of innocent people on death row in our prisons, you wouldn't blink till daybreak.
Sometimes, I think Nigeria's problems may be partly due to overflowing injustice in our land.
And that's why I will never blame any governor thar refuses to sign death warrants. |

I have mentioned it on this platform that Dangote would shock all Nigerians who have put their faith in his refinery as the only way out.
If not for patriotic competitors, like BUA, in the cement sector, Nigerians would have been groaning about that too.
One thing is, Dangote will always roll out world-class products, but he’s just a selfish capitalist. He wouldn’t mind to share part of his profits with the suffering masses, so that he can be tagged a philanthropist. |

tundegan: This is a great initiative. Kids will always be kids, so if you give them the option of watching foreign content or local content, they will naturally gravitate towards the foreign ones. So it is very important to promote local content, especially those that align with our values. So which cartoons did all these thieving politicians watch in their childhood? Perhaps that’s why they chose the crude, local ways of stealing funds and manipulating elections. |

None of the politicians begging Nigerians to convert to CNG will do the same, because they know they wouldn't have options during scarcity. Nigeria being what it is, there must be a period of product scarcity. |
