I am not a fan of Dangote, due to the manner he deceived Nigerians concerning cement pricing after starting operations at his Obajana factory. However, is Dangote’s monopoly not a hundred times better than importation of products which raw material was exported from Nigeria? The only thing the government needs to do is provide the framework and guidelines. Let the dos and donts be explicit. And anyone that flouts them should be sanctioned. Going through approval process will kill initiative and promote bribery and extortion. |
