Op! I'm sorry to say this but I put it to U that u don't have a dog. You are yet to buy a dog and u just want to get info on how to feed them, why not come out plain and seek for help than hide under the theoritical assumptions that u feed urself with.

Actually, the environment in which we live makes the raw meat dangerous. Nobody checks meats nor certify them here. They just slaughter some diseased cows/bulls by the gutter and bring them to our markets.
The boiling a little is of no effect as viruses are only killed at boiling point of freezing point.

Aside the fact that Dogs were designed to feed on raw meats as they thrive on it, it must also be fed to them cautiously after inspection to safe them from being infected by virus(es), be it killer or not, and also to safe the cattles in the environment if the dog is a working dog as such disease is easily spread to the cattles by drinking from same water with such dog, or sniffing such dog's poop, and these viruses could kill the cattles immediately after infection.

That being put into consideration, which is the best way to feed raw meats to dogs?

The essence of this thread was to share your own experience, and others share theirs too. Tobolos just brought his personal shii into it, which I'm not bothered about.

1st, I'm not a vet, 2nd, I'm not saying raw feeding is bad, but it could be dangerous to your dog, most especially in this environment of ours where even we humans have no certification over our meats, how much more over the ones's we give dogs. Yeah! If it's clean for us, it's clean for our dogs, but don't forget we boil ours which could kill the virus that might be in it. But dogs have it raw with the virus alive.
Though, depending on the virus, it might not be harmful for some reasons, but with time... do you know if this same virus improves?
This is my point.
And to tell the truth, I'd love to feed raw, based on concrete research, though, very expensive. But the hygiene part of it? Now you can smile and tuck in your shirt.

I strongly agree that experience is not the best student, just as staying longer in a class room doesn't make you the best teacher. Internet gig or no internet gig, they are all from others experiences that boils down to the fingers.
Though, I've always wondered: how can an individual killed by a truck learn by experience if experience is the best teacher?

You are correct if you say we are trying to safe money. I even ask people around for road killed meats, expired chicken from coldroom and anytype i can lay my hands on. I have 4 dogs,each will eat 1kg of meats perday and I'm not a commercial breeder so you are correct if you think I'm going for the easy ways.

But it's not a must to have what you can't keep.
