Okay sir. Please what can I do? Though my friend wish to support me with £200 while I spend £600 from my salary. But I was advised not to involve my friend in supporting my trip. I also made 810k which was paid into my account by my Estate Agent from my 2-flat property.

@Justwise please respond to this sir. Thanks.

Spending £700 is not bad as that represents two months of your salary, the only issue is that you are going to spend what you earned in two months in just 6days.

Letter from your pastor is not necessary, it wouldn't stop you from overstaying your visa if you want to?

@graceodini collect all documents from him to prove your case to the ECO. screenshot and print out all pages of your communication

Okay. Please is £700 good as the cost of my trip considering my 168k disposable income from my salary? Should I get a letter from our pastor as well to show am currently holding a position in the church as youth coordinator?

Your friend will cover accommodation and feeding so this will be away from your expenditure. This would help you to save money too.

Let him give u an invitation letter stating that he is providing accommodation and feeding and that he has known you for such and such time, his residency permit or red passport data page, his account statement, the house utility bill/tenancy agreement. Or he can support with accommodation and then he wont have to send his statement of account. He will however send every other document.

If you were a visa officer in Nigeria and your job is to grant someone from say South Africa a visa because he wants to come and pay a visit to his friend in Nigeria, What would you be looking out for in the documents he presents? Would you let anyone just come into your country like that?
That’s the same way you should assess ur application. If such South African can’t prove to u with pictures, call logs, whatsapp messages logs, email logs or other evidence that they know this friend in Nigeria, will u give him visa?
Use this as a margin to know what and what to add to ur application from your end, from your family in Nigeria that will stay back during the period of your travel and from your friend you are going to visit.
This should be done as a thorough process.
About ur salary credits.. as long as it shows ur company doin the crediting, it’s fine.
Read this thread there’s lots of information as to documents you should provide to prove your ties to Nigeria.

God bless you sir/ma. I don't have any of the pictures we took together again when we were young but I still have our recent whatsapp chats. Please is the £700 okay to state as the amount am planning to spend for the 6-days trip considering my 168k disposable income? Do you mean if he is accommodating and feeding me he doesn't have to send his bank statement. Though he is ready to send everything to me.

Can I get a letter from our regional overseer that I am the current youth coordinator?

@graceodini
You can and should fund your trip by yourself pls. Let ur childhood friend provide accommodation and feeding pls.. while you fund the rest of your trip.
He can send the account statement to show that he is capable of taking care of your feeding and accommodation, leave out the 200 pounds support biko.
2) any money that was paid into your account must have proof. They know Nigerians have access to forging or let’s say falsifying documents so pls make sure u can truly proof the origin of the 810k
3) if my statement of account reads that this is salary for so and so month.. you dont need to explain further as long as it tallies with your payslip and carries d description of salary
4) I have done something like that while applying for a uk visa. I can’t fault if you want to add those your receipts to your application.
Finally there’s no hurry in this thing.. pls take time and grow/groom your account to have the TOTAL money you need for your application and MUCH MORE for when you will return back to Nigeria... read up the thread to get better idea of things ur childhood friend should be sending.. pls dont also forget to show proof that indeed you are childhood friends

Thank you for your response. My Estate Agent transferred the money into my account from his corporate account and I have all the proof that he is my agent in charge of the house. Can I also add the property utility bill to the application? Please with my 168k disposable income from my salary can I tell them I want to spend £700 for the trip without my friend supporting?
Our salary only shows on our statement of account that the money was paid by the company but most times doesn't indicate salary. But it usually shows the name of the company and that is the only money entering my account apart from the rent fee. My current balance is about 1.4M. With my disposable income of 168k from my salary kindly help me with how much i can present as the money I want to spend as I am spending only 6days. Please what can I present as evidence of my friendship with him because he left Nigeria about 9years ago. Is there any other thing I can also present to show i have siblings and parents in Nigeria? I am the Regional Youth Coordinator in my church pls can I get a letter from the Regional Overseer as well. Thank you once again.

Good morning Justwise, giselle and other advisers on this forum. I really appreciate your help towards people's queries. Please I want to apply for a 6- day visit to the UK soon and plan to go in April 2020. This is My situation: I am 35 and single also living with my parents. I work and earn 200k in a month and also have a 2-flat property in my name which I completed about 2years ago.
1) I have a childhood friend in the UK whom I couldn't attend his wedding in the year 2017 due to my busy schedules then and he and his wife is ready to feed and accommodate me for the 6-day period. He also want to support my trip with a sum of £200 and promised to send his account statement to show this.

2) The cost to me personally for the trip is £600 making £800 for the whole trip as my friend is going to give me £200.

3) A total sum of 810k was paid into my account on January 2 by my Real Estate Agent which is the money he collected from my tenants from the 2-flat for 2020 rent payment and I have papers like tenancy agreement and all other papers from my Estate Agent to support this.

4) Also the salary paid into my account from the company am working with for the month of December was 199,800k. Do i need to explain this or I should just submit the payslip because it reflect on my payslip as well.

5) On December 19,2019. I withdrew a total sum of 385k from my account out of which I used 367k for the purchase of new home electrical appliances like Television, Fan and Washing Machine. Do i need to also explain this and present the receipt given to me from the store I bought them?

Please advise me on these so I can put in a successful application. Thank you all.
