Good evening house. Please a colleague has just been refused a visit visa. He showed me his application form and other documents he submitted with his application this afternoon. He stated in the form he has other income of 360k in a year which he got from property and he included every necessary papers to support this but the ECO stated in the refusal letter that he claims he is earning 3.6M as other income.
The ECO also stated that the 10days he is planning to stay in UK is only for self isolation. Please how can he tackle this in his complaint? Please the guy needs your input. Thank you all.

Can u tell him to confirm very well if his company is this. He needs to ask them first. If the affirmative is the answer, then he shud write a cover note to address this and submit alongside other docs.
If he feels he wants a clean slate, then cancel the application, ask for a refund, and then fill another application. The refund will take almost 28 working days to get back.

Thank you Giselle237. He spoke with his sponsor yesterday and said they told him the NO he picked as answer was correct because his sponsor is a charity organisation . That is what they told him. Thanks.

I think the iom website is having issues. I was able to select the month but no time slot available. This is the same for all dates from tomorrow till August 16 - which is the last date on the preferred date tab.

The "Find the next available date" link is not working too.

Most big firms are inactive on CAC. Companies like Dangote, Coca-cola, UBA, GTB and a host of others, especially those registered before 2019 are mostly inactive on CAC. A friend registered his company in February 2020, he has never paid or made any yearly returns to CAC yet the status of the company is active on CAC.

The guy is just an employee with the company. So I believe the inactive status of the company shouldn't have any effect on him.

To add a bit hope you have had a look at this your “friend” statement of account before concluding it is a lie.That a company is inactive does not mean it has not been registered there are other issues they look at such as Tax evasive,directors being investigated and they might have contacted the company via phonecall/email to verify your position and did not get a response.Get all the facts right before you waste time appealing.

For the inactive status, your friend should get the HR manager to write on his behalf that the company is functional and prolly attach a copy of the CAC registration certificate. As for the cash deposits, since you said it's a lie, explain to them that no cash deposits was made into the account.

Check the company name on CAC and see if it will come up. You can use that as a strong point if the company is available on CAC.

The company is on CAC. The ECO said he company is inactive when he check but am sure CAC registration doesn't expire once you are registered. He also stated that the guy has various cash deposits in his accounts which is a big lie. Pls how can we go about writing this? Thanks

Yes. The ECO stated that he can't verify the company he is working for in Nigeria and few of their staff already got UK visas in the past. The company is registered on CAC.
Secondly, the ECO stated that 270k was paid into his account in January which he didn't know it's source. My friend stated in the additional information section of the form that he has a property he collected rent from yearly which is 2flat property and he included Tenancy Agreement, land sale agreement, survey and rent disbursment from his house agent . So I believe the ECO did not treat his application with care. Thanks.

It's better you pay before leaving the UK. You will have to pay more at Nigeria airport if you pay when you land in Nigeria.

@giselle & others, thanks so much for giving me the mind to chest my application with my full chest o. I got my package today with my 5yrs UK visa. Actually got the mail yesterday, 20th April that a decision has been made & would get my passport from the courier in 24 business hrs.
Did my biometrics 26th March
At exactly 15 business/working days, a positive decision was made. I’m super elated/happy, thanks once again, house.

he can get an earlier date.. contact any of the numbers that booked him for April 28 in lagos and plead with them concerning his circumstances and that he will like an earlier date. Numbers can be found in ur email tht sent u confirmation of test bookin
The thing is your start date can change due to several reasons and he or she shud not be worried about tht.. eg if visa does not come out in time, u cnt do anythin but wait.. and therefore ones start date as written on COS will be delayed. However once visa is out u can them travel and start ur work as long as u pass pre employment checks.
Also un this times of covid and compulsory 10 days isolation, let this individual remember that the 10 days isolation will also delay things too AND once again strt date as written on COS might not be exactly adhered to.

He also want to get some documents from his university which will take up to 2weeks so it might take him till first week of May before having his biometrics. I tried both my visa card with access bank and mastercard with Zenith bank, non worked when I was applying last year. I ended up paying someone to use her dollar account.

Lol, your first question can be looked up online, your second question yes you can pay with a naira card, your third question, you fill the form first, payment is the last step. And your last question depends on your bank, you can use abokifx website. Research well and ask deep questions, with all due respect, no one has time to answer your type of questions.
