Even the article you quoted said 2 turbines that produced 84MW was commisioned on May 2007, at the end of OBJ's tenure and the article went further to say the job will be completed in a years time. That was one year into Yaradua's tenure. So the plant was not designed, built and commission under OBJ. Please stop giving out false information. The new plant is going to produce 500MW, not 84MW. The chinese guys said very clearly that the plant has just been completed. They didn't say it was completed in 2007! The way you guys are trying to twist this is neausating to say the least. It smacks of hate and a negative partisanship that is not good for Nigeria!

Omotosho power plants was actually designed, built and commissioned under Obj. It was not added to National grid because the Gas pipeline project to feed the plant wasn't completed. Yar'dua stalled the whole process and GEJ came on board reactivated the Gas pipeline project.

What GEJ will be commissioning will not be the power plant but the connection of Omotosho to National grid.

At least let's celebrate some progress.

Prof Corruption: The improvement in power sector has nothing to do with Barth Nnaji or GEJ, the whole thing was conceptualized by Obasanjo administration.
In other words, they are projects initiated by Obasanjo administration now coming to fruition this year. It has nothing to do with policies of GEJ's administration.
