@Odilibe, thanks for ur response, i know sport premium is free for now, what am talking about is EPL matches, at least i can be watching saturday, sunday and monday EPL matches, or if you can send any good iptv on PC so that i can be watching the match there with my N70, except kodi tv, cos i have been finding it difficult to watch any channel there, or u can give me clear info on how to do it, with pix explanation will be appreciated, my email is graphicicon8@gmail.com

its a pity, all of us using small dish are left behind, why sub-sahara africa are so weeked like this,no good sport channel that is on free to air, pls guru in the house, i think u people should contribute money for me to buy big dish, at least 1.8m dish.

@odilibe, blexxomak, there is a dstv dish 90cm dish, i dont want to adjust cos of the way is being mount, is there any way i can attach amos 5/eutelsat 16 on it, pls explain with picture, i will really appreciate it a lot.

@all the gurus in the house, i understand if powervu encryption can be hacked, that means conax encryption can also be hacked, so what are we waiting for to get the key of those selfish naija satellite encrypted with conax,
another question is this: so we dont have any programmer in Nigeria that can edit .stb and .bin file, so that we can make those sturbon strong decoders to be biss key enable, i arrest my view.

REVIEW OF SRT 4930 HD SATELLITE RECEIVER

The Strong SRT 4930 HD series first appeared on
the market way back in 2010 and I bought my first
standard version of this receiver in January 2011.
To me it was a big improvement over my only
other Strong HD stb (at the time) namely SRT
4900.
First the tuner was more sensitive especially after
new SW patches started coming out. Over a period
of time I acquired other versions of SRT 4930
including the only LINUX stb which is by far the
most expensive and also most versatile model
from Strong (SRT 4930L). There are three versions
of SRT 4930 that I know of and that I have ever
owned. There is the old standard model SRT 4930
HD with just basic functions and ports. Then there
is the SRT 4930 HD with LAN port that could
handle limited internet functions like YouTube,
hardstations, and weather. Then there is the SRT
4930L HD with its LINUX OS, 2 USB ports and 2
card readers.
SRT 4930L is far far ahead of SRT 4922. It is very
fast in all espects and it is unfare even comparing
the two stbs.

If you have ever used a Linux box like Dreambox,
then you will understand what I mean.
Its WI-FI specs include capability to handle
Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Youtube, Picasa photo,
Weather, Maps, Internet radio, RSS, Google mail,
Hotmail, Webtv, Hardcore, and many many more.
You just plug in your modem for internet and it
turns your TV into a Smart TV with internet and
smart phone connectivity.
Last weekend I pulled out my old SRT 4930 HD
(the std original basic model) from my store,
dusted it and upgraded it with the latest SW patch
from Crosat. I was surprised when it opened Dgt
channels on 7E, plus it flawlessly opened all PV
channels on IS20 after entering the keys. Its media
player is far superior to the one in SRT 4922 series
with nice and smooth slow motion replay plus
smooth fast forwarding, unlike the jerkiness/
glitchness when playing in the same mode on SRT
4922.
I was preparing it for a relative upcountry but I
have now changed my mind and decided to keep it
for myself despite having SRT 4930L (Linux) and
many others. The upcountry relative will now get
another new stb instead.
That is what ASAS does to you.
This model was popular especially in West Africa
and some parts of southern Africa like Zambia,
Zimbabwe etc.
I doubt if it is still in production although you may
still find a new one as a leftover in some shops.
So guys if you come accross SRT 4930 being sold
even as second hand, just buy and you will not
regret.
It can also use remotes from SRT 4900/4910, and
SRT 4922 series.

@Dlee1, am not talking of good features, am talking of handling any issues that got to do with satelite signal, video decoding, audio decoding and other problems that arise when decoding transponder video or audio, that many decoders fails to handle, "I STIIL SAY 4922A IS THE BEST IN OVERCOMMING SATELLITE PROBLEMS"

@odilibe, thats why 4922A is the king of all strong decoders, that TP is perfect on 4922A with the audio and video and the clock mathes each other, LOL

Bros, please am I going to face dstv direction if i want to track this sony package on intelsat IS 20. Please assist me

@ainanimi, the easiest way to do it is to put ku band lnb on your dish, when u are on dstv position, pull the elevation down completely, turn your lnb to 9 o clock, put this TP 12.682 h 26.657, then turn ur dish to the left if u are standing at the back of the dish, when u hit green, try to rotate the lnb to get the maximum signal quality, after that remove the ku band lnb and replace it with c band lnb, then put sony package TP, watch the signal quality and rotate the lnb the get the maximum signal quality.

@all, now i discovered that all the satellite receiver that has .bin file as its software file format is not compatible with channels under TP 11.138 V 30.000 on amos 5, startv package, some decoder may be having problem the audio while some will be having problem with the video, except all the receiver that its software is in .stb file format, i have tried it on different model of powersat receiver, i have also tried it on srt 4950 and srt 4329 all have different issues,
NOW i rank srt 4922A as the chief of all the decoders, if u disagree with me quote me.

@blexxonmak, how can i downgrade my srt 4950 decoder, if i try to downgrade the message i do receive is "software too old"

@blexxonmak, Odilibe, my 4950 strong decoder is refusing to save the biss key when i edit it, when i reboot the reciever the edited key will disappear, and the TV3 channel will be scramble again, but if i did not reboot the reciever it will be working fine, what will i do?
my reciever is running on V3.32P software but if i try to downgrade it will tell me software too old, what is the solution.

.... @graphicicon i don't even have any idea of the software to fix the issue on powersat Aside from strong Africa most imported receivers designed for Europe or Asia may behave bad on the Tp..since the sat tp is for small region in Africa and they may not have concern to fix the Bug..you may end up using the receiver like that for a long time the Tp works well on qsat..and enigma2(firmware) receivers linux etc..

@odilibe, where is the fault from?, is it from decoder or the TP, thats why i always tell people that srt 4922A is the best decoder i have ever seen when it comes to compatibility, since i started using 4922A strong decoder it has never failed me.

@odilibe, pls help before i use anoyance to break the powersat decoder 222A i bought newly, it is HD and i thought it will handle any satellite in terms of video and audio, i dont like management in anything i have, pls kindly get me the software to fix this issue, this decoder is just skipping audio on this TP 11.138 V 30.000 on amos 5 and all other TPs are ok, and at times it refuses to scan TP frequency and some time it does, unless auto scan.

your installation is poor,try optimising your signal by skewing your lnb a bit...is your signal on that frequency below 50%

@ben1daEbiri, what you are saying is not true, am getting 76% on that TP 11.138 V 30.000, remember bros if u track amos 5/eutelsat 16A and you were able to get TVC package that means ur installation is perfect, if you have that powersat test it on that TP and watch the video, then u will see the sound is skipping, but it is working fine on my strong decoder srt 4922A.

I just bought power sat decoder 222A super HD, but the audio of all the channels on star tv package on 11.138 V 30.000 on Amos 5 17e are skiping, is it general on those that are using power sat receiver 222A HD

@all, am love with free to air, but when am reading all the posts about 1.8, 2.4, 3.6, 4m dish or more i dont use to make any comment cos the the price of those dish is too high for me to afford, is when they talk of any channel on 60cm or 90cm that i do make comment, infact what am seeing is like free to air is turning to pay tv, imagine the price of 4m dish, i dont think i can even afford this in a year. Is so sad nothing is easy in nigeria, other foreign countries are getting these channels with smaller dish, and many of them are free, imagine our national tv is pay tv package.

..there can be side-lobe when tracking 5east on prime focus dish... position of 7east not same on prime focus dish compared to small antennas 90cm..I suggest track Amos 17east..when standing @ the back of the antenna.then start moving slowly up and down to the right from 17east...use lnb skewed between 4 and 3am..your best choice is 12728vertical30000 there can be side lobe on 7east..in case use the angle with strongest signal quality enjoy..NB 7east is more difficult on prime focus compared to offset..

@odilibe, you are right, 7e is very trickish, i tried all i could to track 7e with ses5 on 60cm dish, all proved abortive, two sats that are so close to each other which is suppose to be easy to track together, but when am tracking 7e on 60cm dish, it doesn't take me up to 5mins to hit green, since i want to attach it to ses5 no result yet, but when i tried to attach 7e with amos 5 on 60cm dish i use to get 45%, i don't know what is wrong with that sat.

@Sunene 1, what is the sat position of that ORTM and the dish size, cos am in Abuja Nigeria.
