Been seeing a lot of ads and product reviews of Tambo Mobile phones for some time now and their smartphones really look nice. My cousin says their TA-55 is the best budget phone in the market right now and it cost slightly more than my one month allowee as a Corper yet it offers a decent camera, RAM, ROM and processor speed. Is this true? |
Why former Jumia Travel boss Marek Zmysłowski left NigeriaAcH It felt like paradise, in 2013, when the serial investor and entrepreneur, Marek Zmysłowski, started Jovago, a hotel booking platform, and Hotelonline.co, a hospitality software company. Nigeria had become his latest home and it brought success, Jovago, which became Jumia Travel, experienced double-digit growth monthly and quickly became one of the biggest hotel booking sites in Africa. Still, Marek left. Marek had overtly professed his love for Nigeria, sharing pictures of things that endeared him to the country severally, and also getting the alias ‘Chinedu’ which he uses as part of his social media handles @marekchinedu. Marek confirmed in a blog post that in spite of his ups and downs he was “confident of the bright future of Nigeria and the business opportunities it presented for entrepreneurs like myself. Great opportunities come with great risks though.” Fast forward to 2017, Chinedu was played a ruinous hand. Everything went poof! Assets were seized, bank accounts frozen by an order from the Nigeria police. He was up-to-date with his taxes and had not broken the law. It was all very murky. However, things got clearer. “Like in a shitty Hollywood B movie, I was quickly given an offer. A shady individual told me that all my problems will go away, all I need to do is to send a symbolic sum of a couple of hundred dollars to a specific bank account,” Marek wrote. He found out that it was an attempt at the takeover of his company and blackmail by his local business partners (whose names he won’t release at this time), who had corrupted police officials. The Polish citizen didn’t budge, refused to negotiate, and took the Nigerian police to court. “But just like in a Hollywood movie, the good guys don’t negotiate with the bad guys. I had nothing to lose, so I sued the Nigerian police. Yes, you read that right. “What’s even more amazing, I won. That was one of the “faith in humanity restored” moments. I’m probably the only foreigner in the history of Nigeria to sue its police and win. And to be still alive. “The court ruled illegality of all the actions by police and even set a symbolic sum of ten thousand dollars to cover my “moral damages”.” It was a big win for Marek, but it also signalled, according to him, “how fragile your position, and how illusory your sense of safety can sometimes be.” “I came out of my Nigerian blackmail adventure safe and sound, mostly because of tons of luck. It could have been much, much worse. The experience made me, however, reach my threshold. “Especially when you live and work in countries with a struggling democracy and economy. I’ve decided that I need to move my assets, tax residency, or even citizenship to a country, where abuses like that can’t happen, where the law is respected and corruption is marginal.” He left the shores of Nigeria for his next adventure, he kept the name though and he needs pointers on how he can get his money the court told the police to pay for damages. “The police haven’t paid yet and I’m still trying to figure out who I should call for help to get my “win money”.” Marek has a second passport, these days and it isn’t the shiny green one of Africa’s most populous country. “I chose one of the Caribbean countries. I fell in love with their zero income and inheritance tax. “The government has a great opinion among international entrepreneurs and the likelihood of becoming a victim of criminals, as it happened to me in Nigeria, was significantly lower.” |

Nigeria is in search for progress and development, from October 1st 1960 when Nigeria got her Independence from Britain. The journey ought to be a transition from bad people's and eventually it leads to the desired of good people, and that was the desired of our founding fathers. Independence broke the bonds of Colonialism, freeing Nigeria to be a sovereign, to practice free will and to determine its own fate, 56 years after independent and 16 years of democratic government, What has independent produce? Nigeria seems to be in extended infancy, Official corruption, Vote rigging, Assassination, Unemployment, Militancy, Terrorism and lots of evils in our society. October 1st 1960 was a dawn of new hope in Nigeria. All was set to engender a new beginning for Nigeria with the demise of colonial masters, hope was high that all will be well within a short period. Independent Nigeria had its problem, prominent was the civil war that ravaged Nigeria, otherwise known as "Biafran war". Eventually, Nigeria survived and the war ended. The 70th's was the era of oil, the country was so rich that the president then declared that "the problem of the country was not how to get money but how to spent the money". As insane as the comment was, truly there was so much money except that it was eventually squandered. In some years back in Nigeria, our currency was so strong that it was more valuable than the U.S dollar, But what do we have today? Our economy has plummeted and our Naira is useless. Nigeria of yesterday excelled in all field, our universities were all equipped and students received the best education. We heard Of the exploit of the first generation universities like Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Ibadan, Adamu Bello University among others, today the glories of these schools are in decline. One can only hope for a better tomorrow, we heard of huge amounts budgeted every year for road construction and maintenance for the Health sector, Agriculture, Education, Security etc... But there is nothing to show for all these. Our health facilities are not improving, our roads are death traps and our education sector is collapsing, senior government officials and politicians travel out for minor headache, helpless Nigerians are left at the mercy of our ill-equipped hospitals, Children of the rich school outside the country, while children of the poor attend schools without facilities, Politicians travel in bullet proof cars and well protected mansions, while millions are at the mercy of armed robber. Some of us grew up without being able to differentiate Between Christians and Muslims because of religious harmony but today the story is different. Sectional regional and ethnic groups were then an abomination, but today we see Odua People's Congress (OPC), Arewa Youth Forum, Niger Delta Avenger (NDA), Boko Haram, etc have all come together to redefine our corporate existence. Everybody is obviously dissatisfied with the state of things in the country. Our Independent and democracy only increased the number of people to steal our money, Yes, we all decried military dictatorship but it was not corrupt as today's democracy. There are few thieves during military era, our elected and selected thieves steal more because they are more than the military thieves, worse still they represent nobody but themselves. Nigeria celebrate her 56 years of Freedom from Britain today. But the question is "are ordinary Nigeria truly Free?" A retrospection of what Nigeria was and what Nigeria Is and what tomorrow portend leaves much to be desired. What is the reason for independent where few benefit and masses suffer, we hope to see a truly independent Nigeria and a new Nigeria nation. Let say there is hope for a better Nigeria but I don't think we have a New and Independent Nigeria yet. Happy Independence Anniversary to all Nigerians. God Bless Nigeria. By.Babatunde G. WHO DESTROYED NIGERIA, PDP, APC, ... OR PEOPLE?" The narrative that people have come to accept in recent times especially from those who support the present regime, is that "PDP destroyed" our country and it will take time to rebuild it. But I don't think so. I think is the people and not the party. A reason why APC should also be careful. Now just check this scenarios out.. . 1. Sen. Pres. Bukola Saraki. PDP Governor for 8yrs and PDP Senator for over 3 yrs. Joined APC in 2014. He is the Senate President. 2. Speaker Yakubu Dogara. Two-term PDP House of Rep member. Joined APC in 2014 and was elected for a third time in 2015. He is the Speaker. 3. VP Atiku Abubakar. Nigeria's PDP Vice-President for 8yrs and presently an APC Elderstatesman after jumping from one party to the other since 2007. 4. Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba. PDP Senator for 12yrs. Decamped to APC about two months ago. He is the serving Chairman, NDDC Board. 5. Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri. Two-term PDP Senator from Bayelsa State. Decamped to APC after the 2015 elections. He is a serving Minister of the Republic. 6. Sen. Ita Enang. Two-term PDP Senator from Akwa-Ibom. Joined APC before the 2015 elections. Presently the SSA to the President on NASS. 7. Gov. Samuel Ortom. Long-serving Benue State Secretary of the PDP. Former National Auditor of the PDP and former Minister under Pres. Jonathan. Joined APC in December 2014. He is the Governor of Benue State. 8. Sen. Barnabas Gemade. Founding father of the PDP, former National Chairman of the party and Senator from 2011. Joined APC in December 2014. He is a serving Senator. 9. Gov. Atiku Bagudu. A two-term PDP Senator from Kebbi. Joined the APC at some point. He is the serving Governor of Kebbi State. 10. Gov. Aminu Tambuwal. Former PDP Speaker of the House of Representatives. Joined APC in 2014. He is the serving Governor of Sokoto State. 11. Sen. Abdullahi Adamu. Two-term PDP Governor of Nasarawa and Senator in 2011. Joined APC in 2014. Still a serving Senator. 12. Sen. Danjuma Goje. Two-term PDP Governor of Gombe State and Senator in 2011. Joined APC in 2014. Still a serving Senator. 13. Hon. Dakuku Peterside. Was a PDP Rep member from Rivers State. Joined APC along with Gov. Amaechi. He is the DG of NIMASA. 14. Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso. Two-term PDP Governor of Kano State and former Minister of Defence under Pres. Obasanjo. Joined APC in late 2013. He is a serving Senator. 15. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi. Former PDP Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Two-term PDP Governor of Rivers. Joined APC in late 2013. He is a serving Minister of the Republic. 16. Gov. Rochas Okorocha. Was a Special Adviser to PDP's Pres. Obasanjo. Became the Governor of Imo on APGA's platform. Joined APC in February 2013. He is the Governor of Imo State. 17. Sen. George Akume. Two-term PDP Governor of Benue State and Senator in 2007. Left the party in December 2010. Still a serving APC Senator. 18. Gov. Nasir El-Rufai. Former FCT Minister under Pres. Obasanjo. Left the PDP in 2010 and joined CPC. He is the serving APC Governor of Kaduna State. 19. Gov. Bello Masari. PDP Speaker of the House of Reps in 2003. Joined the CPC in 2010. He is the serving APC Governor of Katsina State. 20. Sen. Adamu Aliero. Two-term PDP Governor of Kebbi State and Senator in 2007. Later became FCT Minister under Pres. Yar'Adua. Joined APC at some point. He is a serving Senator. 21. Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma. Two-term PDP Senator from Akwa-Ibom State. I don't even know if he ever decamped to APC. He is the serving Minister of Budget & National Planning. Now, save for Atiku who is a serial Presidential aspirant waiting for another election year to continue with his impossible dream of becoming Nigeria's President, all the above are holding offices in this regime. They all played a part in the 16yrs of "PDP destruction" but somehow are members of the APC that want to "rebuild". Wow! My submission therefore is that PDP did NOT destroy Nigeria. PDP is just a name/acronym. The Nigerian people destroyed Nigeria. *Hence, its the people who build or destroy a nation. Food for thought. **Written by Walters Ojemba on the Facebook. |

Source: Temitope Temitope Aduroja Eventhough social media erupted and there was a serious Jubiliaiton and celebration at some certain Quarters over Aisha Buhari's Journey to United State despite the fact that she has been alleged severally by the controversial Governor of Ekiti state that she can not travel to United state because she is part of those prominent personalities who were involve in the popular Hallibutorn Bribery case. Without going too far, Aisha Buhari's Journey to United state as generated a lot of Controversy among Nigerians. Some Nigerians believe that the Journey is real and Authentic while some Nigerians doubt the authenticity of her journey to United state. They claimed that the Journey was a total ruse due to some Obvious and Glaring Evidence. To the glory of God, i am One of those Nigerians who doubt her Journey to United State. Below are my reasons. -it is only Sahara reporter that informed Nigerian that Aisha Buhari will travel to USA. No other Nigeria News Media Reported the News not even Channel TV. All the Online media that reported the News referred to Sahara reporter as their Source. -It is Only Sahara Reporter that keep uploading the Pictures of the Wife of the President on Social Media and no other News Source. - More over, Federal Government of Nigeria did not Officially informed the Nation that the wife of the president will travel to United State. -Whenever the president, Vice President or Wife of the president want to travel out of the country, they are always receive different Personalities at the Airport either Muritala or Nnamdi AZkiwe Airport whereby group of Press men will snap their pictures and inform the nation where they are traveling to. For instance, take a look at President Buhari's Journey to Chad on Sunday, we all see his picture at the Airport whereby news inform us where he is traveling to. But in the case of Aisha Buhari, nothing like this happen. We just heard that she is in United State. - No Foreign media House such as CNN, BBC, Aljazeera etc Carry such news that Aisha Buhari Visited United State. It is only Nigeria media House who are citing Sahara Reporter as their source. Mind you, it is not possible for Nigeria first lady to Vist United State without CNN carrying the News. -Aisha Buhari was said to have an interview with VOICE OF AMERICA but to my greatest surprise, VOA does not have the Transcript of the alleged Interview with Aisha Buhari on their website. No single result was found for the Search Aisha Buhari on their Search Page. -Moreover, how can Michelle Obama failed to host a visiting first lady (Aisha buhari) who has never visited her country before since may 29 2015? -How will Aisha Buhari Visited United State without been recognise by the united state first lady?? -When Toyin Saraki represented Aisha Buhari in an event in united state some months ago, we all seen the picture she snap with President Obama and his wife, despite various pictures of Aisha Buhari's Journey to United state has flooded Social media, how come we have never seen the Pic she snap with the wife of Obama despite she was the one that invited her?? - Lastly, how come the wife of Nigeria President will Purportedly attended an event in the USA without been reported by CNN, Aljazeera, BBC, not even our local Stations like NTA, AIT and the most reliable and Unbiased TV station called Channel TV?? . Without going too far once aging, Owing to these above reasons, i refuse to be scam again, Hoodwink deceived and bamboozzled with APC lies cum Propaganda and deceit. This is an era of info tech. We are in year 2016 not 1984. . In conclusion, Aisha Buhari Journey to USA was stage Managed just to divert our attention from Pressing issues . Thank you #Adurofight #Khayspeaks! |

Source: Concern citizen who based in American Meanwhile on Aisha Buhari's visit to America, see what I found on Facebook from a concerned Nigeria living in United States. Call the number and confirm. I can authoritatively say it that Fayose has not been proved wrong. Lemme ask you yes you. Is it possible for the first lady of any country to visit another country without being received by even an ambassador? I'm here in America and there is no airport in America with that number of black people. What about her itinerary, don't we deserve the right to know? Why the clandestine movement? Was she smuggled in and out of the USA? I just called the United States Institute of Peace in Washington DC. They have no Itinerary schedule for Aisha B. The phone number is 202-457-1700. You can also call yourself. Where is Aisha Buhari? Concerned Nigerian Living in the USA |
