Politics › Ex-militant Leaders Say No To Buhari by gratiaeo(op): 12:04am On Jan 08, 2015
By Emma Amaize
WARRI—EX-MILITANT leaders in the Niger Delta region, Wednesday, denied the endorsement of All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) by the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, for next month’s presidential election.
Rising from a meeting of select top ex-militant leaders in Warri, Delta State, they said: “MEND does not exist or represent the generality of all Niger Delta youths and ex-militants and it is just a mere paper hype intended to discredit our son and brother, President Goodluck Jonathan, before the eyes of the public.”
One of the ex-agitators and spokesman of the defunct Niger Delta Liberation Force, “Captain” Mark Anthony, said: “President Jonathan remains the best president Nigeria ever had and we are comfortable with him and his administration.
“Therefore, we back him in his bid for a second tenure to rule and transform Nigeria. The insecurity problem in the nation was created by opposition parties to discredit the Jonathan administration. We will not fold our arms and allow a non-existent MEND to publicly condemn and discredit President Jonathan.
“We are appealing to Nigerians to always support and give President Jonathan their votes for the growth and transformation of the nation.”
He warned those who want to turn Nigeria upside down by killing and bombing innocent people “to know that nobody has a monopoly of killings and we cannot take that from Boko Haram in this 2015 presidential election.
“We are assuring President Jonathan that our unflinching support is always with him and we urge Nigerians to give him their votes in the February polls.”

LRNZH:

You people are the most embarrassing campaigners I have met.

Ask yourself. For the 20 months GMB was Head of State, what were the pertinent issues in Nigeria and did he surmount them?

Again, for the 60 months GEJ has been President, what are Nigeria's real issues and how has he performed in those issues?

I have just thought you the basics of comparative analysis but I won't do the research for you. Either go through my threads littered all over Nairaland or make use of Google.

I am sure you are using a generator to type up these garbage of yours.

Don't come here and be hailing refurbished trains and almajiri schools when you lack the concept of priorities.

No Power, Insecurity, Corruption, Oil Bunkering, Economic Instability after 6 years.
What and what were the pertinent issues in Nigeria during Buhari time and how did he surmount them? Plss tell us

Obinoscopy:
I just went through the site she provided and i saw this:

"The Army War College Foundation offices and the Office of Alumni Affairs are located in Root Hall on the first floor in the B wing."

So they are located in the same place. A call put through that number should get to the Alumni Office. Or what do you think?

I also need nairalanders to put a call through to the number (717.243.1756) so that we can verify OP claims. If she's lying, this thread will be closed but if truth, it would grace the homepage.
Do the needful now. APC propaganda need to be checkmate with full force

If the story about mend supporting GMB is true, it is surprising because gej is their son. why would they turn against him if he is doing well?

On the other hand, BH can't support anyone because they are apolitical and only seek to destroy the system.

On a lighter note, If BH supports GMB, it will be because gej is not posing enough challenge to them and they are getting bored. they need a more challenging approach to their insurgency.
If BH support Buhari tomorrow APC will called them "progressive" and agent of change

The MEND that supported Buhari are the repented or about to repent MEND
