Career › Re: 16 Years Banking Experience As A Contract Staff (Age Barrier) by GreatCracker(m): 11:02am On May 15, 2017
kenny1st:
Op, may God bless you for deciding to open people's eyes to this ambition killing career. I was also in the banking industry for about 10 years, I joined after my Ond at a very tender age but I was disengaged for flimsy reason last year. During my time in the bank, after seeing it all, I used to advise and sometimes discouraged young fresh ND intake of the bank to reconsider their decision to join bank industry.

It's pathetic that the banking sector of this country as turned to be a carrier killer and the painful thing about it is that the industry is bigger than the law of the land when it comes to policies guiding the wellbeing of their employees. From experience, I see this sector as one of the most corrupt place where the likes of efcc, icpc and other concern regulators should visit and overhaul. Not just for employees welfare alone but there are many serious shady business deals that are being done in banks on daily basis.

Gone are those days when people have high regards for Bankers, those days when banking is a carrier for individuals to join and retire as a Banker. This days it is rear to find someone who started the banking career and retire in it. The common trend in that industry in this generation is for bank to terminate or disengage their staff in the middle of their career, they dash employees' hope, they get them cut off at the time they have used the better part of the employees energy, intellect and time. It's usually very difficult for affected employee to get another job at the time bank sack them because age may no longer be on their side just like the case of the Op.

Well, my piece of advise for those intending to join that industry is to try other options and make bank job their last choice and while doing the job they should open their eyes for better things.

Crime › Schoolteacher Knocked Unconscious As Students Throw Punches During Fight (video) by GreatCracker(op): 2:56pm On May 08, 2017
A video has shown how a ferocious fight broke out between students at a school and ended with a teacher getting knocked unconscious.
In the shocking phone footage – taken at Cheltenham High School in Pennsylvania, US – two girls are seen hurling punches at each other.
Another student tries to intervene but finds herself on the receiving end of a barrage of punches from her classmate.
Screams and shouts are heard from the shocked crowd as the fight continues for more than 30 seconds.
A female substitute teacher then tries to wade in between the pupils, but inadvertently gets punched in the face with such force she crumples to the ground.
Four students were arrested after the incident on Wednesday morning (May 3) – which left eight teachers injured.
Amber Nicole Lewis, 18, faces four counts of aggravated assault and conspiracy, while the three other students are juveniles who remain in custody.
Police say the fight stemmed from some type of incident that began on Facebook.
The school’s Principal Ray McFall said last week: “This morning’s incident, is, without doubt, a gross violation of our code of conduct and therefore completely unacceptable.
“I ask that every single parent have a serious conversation at home this evening about student stressors and appropriate management of them; violence is never a viable option.”
The substitute teacher was sent to hospital following the brawl after suffering concussion – along with three other members of staff – but has since been released.

Romance › Re: Please Help On Masturbation by GreatCracker(m): 11:17am On May 05, 2017
Nina4u:
sweet heart ... an old joke observes that 98 percent of people masturbate--and the other 2 percent are lying.... How many of you have had dreams about sex and end up having an orgasm in your sleep? And how many of you have orgasms in your sleep on a regular basis?
Most people know that men start having wet dreams (nocturnal emissions) at puberty. Orgasms (or ejaculations) during sleep are a natural and common occurrence... For men, the terms wet dreams, nocturnal emissions, or spontaneous orgasms are all the same thing. Some men are woken up by their orgasm/ejaculation, while others wake up to find that they have already come and may not remember having had a sex dream...is that in your eyes the same as mastorbating? Sweety this is normal .. What I find very interesting and not often discussed, is that women also have sex dreams that may or may not end in orgasm. As with other aspects of sexual arousal, there may be no obvious, tangible signs (like ejaculation), but she may be woken up by a strong orgasm. In fact, some women report they can have stronger orgasms in their sleep compared to the orgasms they have when they are awake. Some women can even have multiple orgasms in their sleep. Because women usually don’t have ’emissions’ with their sex dreams, terms like nocturnal orgasms, spontaneous orgasms, and sleep-related orgasms are used to describe these instead....Have you ppl read biology ?? It is important to understand that sleep-related orgasms are a natural occurrence for both men and women that can start around the time of puberty. Some studies suggest that the occurrence of sleep-related orgasms may correspond to relative testosterone levels, both for men and women. Some cultures have been more open in talking about it than others. In fact, there is historical documentation of sleep-related orgasms for women dating back to ancient Greece about women having and enjoying sex dreams. (Gotta love the Greeks!) Despite it being such a common occurrence, it is not really taught in sex education classes, or by parents (especially not for girls). Consequently, many people develop bad feelings or guilt related to having sex dreams and sleep-related orgasms because they think they are not normal, or they are disturbed by the content of their dream.... The interesting part about sex dreams and sleep-related orgasms is that for many people, especially women, they can be more intense than what they experience in their sex life. This is because while you are asleep, there is less inhibition and less conscious restraint. Studies of brain scans have shown that there is actually a ‘turning off’ of certain areas in the brain that process outside information, motor activity, and emotion at the time of orgasm.... When it comes to mastorbation.. We all do it.. So if you cum in your sleep then >wetin u go do? <
OHH THANKS A LOT FOR EDUCATING THESE SET OF ILL INFORMED GUYS PARADING AS MORAL MONGERS, MASTURBATING IS NOT GOOD MY FOOT

Nairaland General › Ghana Still Owes The Nigeria Gas Co. (n-gas) – Wapco by GreatCracker(op): 6:05pm On May 03, 2017
The West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) has revealed that, Ghana is yet to settle outstanding debts owed Nigeria Gas Company contrary to earlier reports that all outstanding debts had been fully settled.

According to a General Manager at WAPCo Mike Enendu, government still owes the Nigerian gas company N-Gas, which means the government still owes WAPCo.

His comment comes at a time that it has been widely reported that all outstanding debt owed Nigeria’s Gas (N-Gas) by the government of Ghana has been fully paid.

In a tweet on Thursday April 13, 2017, the President Akufo-Addo revealed that, his government has paid in full the US$60 million debt Ghana owed Nigeria Gas (N-Gas).

N-Gas, the main supplier of lean gas to Ghana’s Volta River Authority (VRA) through the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo), last year was forced to cut gas to Ghana after giving the country a two-week ultimatum to clear its outstanding debt of over US$100 million.

But in an interview with the media at the sidelines of a forum on local content promotion and greater participation by local suppliers and contractors, a General Manager at WAPCo, Mike Enendu, who is also in charge of Finance and Administration said Ghana was yet to settle fully all debt owed N-Gas.

“Between WAPCo and the government we are aware of what the debt situation is and I think for us that is what it should be. There are still some monies to be paid. I don’t know where that information is coming from but I believe WAPCo and the government knows the true situation of the debt. I don’t know who put out that information to the public. But I am not sure that is from the government and is obviously not from WAPCo.”

On local content, the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) has stated that its initiative has engaged more than 300 active vendors in Ghana.

It has so far issued more than 2,000 service/purchase orders to local suppliers since it began commercial operations.

“We place priority on providing opportunities to local businesses,” a General Manager at WAPCo, Mr. Enendu, said while opening a forum for more than 120 vendors of WAPCo.

The forum, the second of its kind, was aimed at providing an opportunity for WAPCo and its vendors to interact, review performances, achievements and challenges in the supply chain.

It also served as an avenue for the exchange of feedback to ensure greater collaboration between WAPCo and the vendors for their mutual benefit.

According to Mr. Enendu, “the forum shall provide the needed opportunity to develop competencies, capabilities and competitiveness of suppliers and contractors so that you are able to compete for businesses both in WAPCo and the larger oil and gas sector.’’
