This is a source of concern. I write for a few friends of mine - hardworking and nice guys (30+ years) working in various reputable firms in Nigeria. But 3, 4, 5 years after, they are still searching for the lady of their heart desires. I also notice the trend everywhere I go.

Just as we complain about the growing number of unmarried ladies, I'm also worried abt the growing number of unmarried, comfortable men who are over 30 years.

A case in study is a popular friend of mine who has been working in the oil sector for more than 5 years. He clocks 33 this year. He still remains unmarried. He says he is still searching. I can count more than 10 of my friends - comfortable, hale and healthy, gainfully employed but single after working for more than 5 years..What can be the cause?
Are ladies getting scarce, or is it that there are few "wife materials" in town now? or are they simply afraid of making commitment?

Now that you are surrounded with so many of these guys, my question to you is " are you married"?
If yes, let them learn from you;
If NO, show them example

And what is the President doing about this, people are dying daily and he is busy saying we will crush book haram, can we just do something faster to save this situation.
Food stuff is on the very high side and I don't know the reason for this, this country really need change and the change is here but no one has feel any bit of it.

Nuclear power plant is a very effective and reliable source of power generation, however there is a serious side effect to human and property if not properly handle, I don't thing Nigeria is capable of successfully operating this kind of plant to it optimum safely principles, I feel if we want to go into this, let it not be base on BOT for now, let the plant be own by Russia film and the Government will ensure employment of Nigerian Engineers for proper training before we should be talking about BOT in nuclear power plant.

What factors determine the location of nuclear power plant? why can it be located at Abuja, why should they bring it close to my villa @ Itu, I hope safety will be seriously considered when executing this project.

No neither can it be eradicated in US, UK and Co., but it can be reduce to a minimum level in Nigeria and else were with good Government policy.

Bro may be you will explain more on the money recovered from the oil thief because have not heard it. On the refinery, they started maintenance sometimes ago and the expected completion was July. I haven't seen sign of any change yet. Calm down a little. Change doesn't hide, when it comes everyone will see it, no need of broadcasting it.

Too early, have not seen any change/improvement yet. Traveling to many places is not part achievement to me.

And the names of the new ministers were supposed to be in the hand over note or what? so is taking how many months to pick the names out.
What am seeing is lack of preparation by APC and Buhari on how to govern this country.
They need more time but unfortunately we don't have more time to waste any longer. We cannot continue like this, let us feel the change we voted for.

Hello All, I was just thinking of something that can be done in the forum, so I feel that Seun and the moderators in the house should consider something like monthly or periodic most active member in the forum apart from the moderators, not sure if it exist just like “Miss Nairaland and Mr. Nairaland contest”. When the active member is chosen, it might come with a token of appreciation like free gift, little cash or even free advert placement for a week or two or it might just be for the fun of it. The person can even become a Mod, !
The criteria might be number of hours being active for that period, no. of topics, no. of comments and so on. I belief the Mod will know the best criteria. But it should not be the kind of booking space comments stuff like most temitemi’s post.

Benefit to Nairaland;
It will make some non-registered members that are always on nairaland to think of registering. In my former work place I have over 10 people that knows nairaland through me but are only non-registered member but visit nairaland every day except if there is no internet. It will increase your registered member and thereby increasing your traffic.
You can also take it as part of your contribution to people in this forum.
