Football is not a computer game. When you work in an environment with human interaction, you should know when a situation has become untenable. If Chelsea had allowed Diegoal back into the club, it will be an action from the board tantamount to sacking the manager.

If Costa had been quiet instead of going to media with Conte's text, and screenshotting Conte's text and sending to all of his teammates, the situation may have still been salvaged.
