WORD!!!

Hypocrisy runs deep in the blood.

Imagine he said.."she's not wearing bra"
I was expecting to see a half naked woman or something.

That lecturer and the school would be sued if it were another country

Botragelad:

Have you lost your mind?
Is there a law against wearing a brassiere or whatever you call it. Not like it's a religious outfit or anything.

It's like saying a bloke can't come in because he's not wearing a singlet. How does that make any sense? You're the same one who moans about government injustice but you back injustice against others or things you don't like. Isn't that hypocritical!

By your logic, you don't challenge your tutor and expect him to cave in but you want your president to cave in to your demand on how to make the country better. You are saying she has no right to speak and stand up for herself yet you moan the judiciary is rubbish, you want everyone to shut up and let their right get stomped on, yet you lot whinge about abuse from the police.

The audacity of that bloody wimp. I can't picture this happening in the US or any civilised country. You are bound to get your arse sued for harassment!

Violence against women is a no no.

You must control yourself.
Now, because of the man's foolish response, no one will hear his own side of the story.

Being a lawyer or being learned has nothing to do with self control.

I know of a so-called Prof who brutalised his wife till she ran for dear life and he's still pursuing her till today.

Why would they do that when their economy runs on the expenses and tax generated from these medical tourists and other immigrants?

Do you know that their universities have targets and quotas they must fill else they won't get funding from government and other stiff penalties?

They'll only try to stiffle the access process.

They'll review it soon once income generated reduces because Africans and other immigrants decide to boycot them and go to friendlier nations.

Her mum was so emotional and she had tears roll down her cheek on the D-day, it was lovely though to see such wonderful connection.

My wife is tall, ebony and in her early twenties. White sparkling teeth, bright eyes, always smiling. She’s the perfect gift to me. The wedding was simple yet beautiful. I am so fortunate to have her in my life.

Precisely.

Though I didn't say it reduces frequency, that was the person I quoted.

Remember its used to treat cancer as well?

I remember going through the side effects and was like WTF....pardon my french😊

Heck you dare not have babies while taking it unless you stop the medication for about 1 year and run tests to ensure it's been cleared from your system else you stand the hugh chance of having a deformed baby

My question then was, so how would the patients handle the pain for that period?

Chee59:

I think it varies from person to person, benefits and side effects.
But saying it reduces frequency of crises to zero, false.
Family / Re: Parents With Sickle Cell Kids How Do You Cope? by Greattha: 11:42pm On Nov 30, 2023
Hydroxyurea is a medication that was used for tests and trials in UCH at a time but I think it's been abandoned

I'd advice against it cos it's side effects are too numerous and imo, the benefits ain't worth it.

Again, my opinion pls.

Toktee:
Avoid mosques at all costs, always take becomplex and folic acid tabs, avoid cold water and always wear sucks.
Finally and importantly, buy a drug called HYDROXYUREA it reduce the frequency of pain crisis almost to zero.

First thing is to register them with a hospital with Haematology Department or access to a Haematology Consultant.

Now, there aren't many of these around. Infact one of the best places for this is UCH Ibadan.

Secondly, avoid Stress and Mosquitoes

Thirdly, have a balanced diet and regular water intake. Water is life...it won't be palatable but they must carry water around and drink regularly.

You'll also need funds for meds like folic acid, b complex etc

For the pain, there's a potent combo of pain meds that I can suggest but you'd have to run it by your Haematology Consultant first for approval to determine if its safe for your siblings.
. It works...knocks off pain in 1-2 hours

I need people with experience on how to manage SS Crisis.
Both my parent are AS and we the kids are 5. I'm the first child and I'm lucky to be AA, the 2nd born AS, 3rd, 4th, 5th - SS.
I have 3 SS siblings and right now most of their responsibility and wellbeing is on me as the first born cuz my P-man is old already.
Just last week I have to rush down to my brother's school to bring him home cuz he called me in the middle of the night weeping cuz the pain is just too much and his roommate isn't around.
My question now is how can it be managed? cuz it's really affecting everybody cuz It's affecting their studies, I'm exhausted right now cuz anytime it happens it's ends with me borrowing funds to send to them and lastly it's sucks happiness out of the atmosphere as hearing a teenager weeping and knowing you can't do anything about it is saddening.

I've seen some people asking if they as AS can also marry AS please and please don't try it as you'll just be bringing innocent kids here just to suffer. The trauma of you seeing your kids in pain sef no be here.

How can SS Crisis be avoided/managed?

I'd have loved my write up to be well detailed but the little I wrote up there took up to an hour cuz my phone is bad.

You experience and advice will be well appreciated. Thanks.

Are you drunk or what?

Where in my post did you see me advocate for drug dealers?

Drug dealers are a menace that should be eradicated.

I only drew the attention of Nigerians trying desperately, deceiving themselves that they're seen as different...igbo, yoruba or hausa no one outside 9ja cares...you're all one.

You can continue fighting each other within 9ja but don't make the foolish mistake of trying to differentiate yourselves out here.

Read to comprehend before quoting and typing rubbish.

Alaigbo:
Wonders aha never end so Nigerians should unite with drug dealers.

Nothing wey u no go see for NL.

To all south Africans - please any Nigerian caught near wear drug is being sold, act like a drug dealer not necessarily a drug dealer, in fact any Nigerian that can not prove he is not a drug dealer explicit terms do not give him or her a benefit of a doubt kill him instantly before your police arrive.

To all Nigerians abroad that will come across my comment anywhere you see fellow Nigeria dealing in drug park comot for that area to avoid being tagged as associate to such drug deal, don't use the same route they use, don't look dress work or eat like them or beta still report them to the police.

If you can do all I listed to avoid being mistaken as an associate of a drug dealer n you are killed by a foreign mob to hell with you, your father mother n every other member of your household that will lament about your death.

Well, it's not like government work is all that these days except you rise to certain levels and are in lucrative mdas/ ministries.
The beauty is in the supposed security.

However, do your best to maintain the two cos the current economic situation of Nigeria doesn't really support small businesses. You can't plan or predict anything for now

You're operating online so keep at it, whatever stress you're going through will sort itself out soon.

The day you quit your government job, you'll immediately regret it...

For those celebrating the fact that mainly igbos were named, there's really no need for this....it could affect any tribe...there was a Benue man there

We need to stop this ignorant attitude of bigotry.

The lesson here is obey the laws of the land because one day, things will take shape in Nigeria and laws would be upheld by the authorities without prejudice.

How can you build on roads, waterways, pipelines and under high tension wires and not expect a day of reckoning?

Prospective land owners must confirm and avoid FG and SG acquisition lands and obey the laid down rules.

There's more to come because when it comes to building, Nigerians seem not to understand the importance of layouts and properly planned neighbourhoods.

Decades ago I remember when I was serving with ministry of lands & Housing and we had to go demolish some illegal shanties.....it was a pitiful sight but guess what, they'd been served notices like years and years before but because no one enforced it, they continued the infractions until that government that year that decided to effect the law irrespective of if you were the oba's family....only those with documents were compensated.

I also remember one place called apete in ibadan over 20 years ago when I was being encouraged to buy some acres...when I got there I ran with my head because I saw gutters and soakaway pits crossing people's living quarters...no plans, no layouts.

Some people even buy and build up locations allocated for circular roads because they didn't check the master plan of the area or they simply didn't care.

I don't know if things have changed there today but if not, you can imagine when government would descend on these locations, the offenders would start panicking.
