Crime / Re: Police Arrests Barrister Ebong Ekere Who Assaulted His Wife In Akwa Ibom by Greattha: 3:35pm On Dec 18, 2023 |
Violence against women is a no no. You must control yourself. Now, because of the man's foolish response, no one will hear his own side of the story. Being a lawyer or being learned has nothing to do with self control. I know of a so-called Prof who brutalised his wife till she ran for dear life and he's still pursuing her till today. |

Yh right...just as Police officers don't have a right to search your phone but the still do and brutalise those who refuse Alakoba PPRO. You better be discrete when doing this....else you chop multiple slaps. To whom a brain is given, sense is expected. PPRO won't be on the streets or deserted roads with you o. Lawmen can only start respecting Nigerians and the law when Nigerians stand up for each other. Antoeni: |

Why would they do that when their economy runs on the expenses and tax generated from these medical tourists and other immigrants? Do you know that their universities have targets and quotas they must fill else they won't get funding from government and other stiff penalties? They'll only try to stiffle the access process. They'll review it soon once income generated reduces because Africans and other immigrants decide to boycot them and go to friendlier nations. Judolisco: 2 Likes |

There they go as usual, blaming someone else... It was Jonathan that initiated it. Why not leave it? Did the buhari administration not allocate funds ro it as well? Abi did Osinbajo live in the nush during his tenure as VP? N15B for renovation. Is it diamond, titanium and precious stones that are being used to finish the building? Is this the right time for such frivolous expenses? Don't mean to rain on your parade. I remember a lady who married as a virgin but had to go for counselling after 1st week of marriage...As d tin no gree enta...according to Beyoncé, his "ego" was 🎶 too big, too strong, too wide, it won’t fit 🎶...😊. Though I don't think she was singing about pr**k🙄 I mean, it can't get more "tear rubber" than that😁 They later worked it out but today, she out of his house cos he doesn't want her anymore for reasons best known to him/them. Morale, you found a wife and found a good thing but you only just began. It's a long journey ahead that'll test this love you're professing here today. As our elders say: To be a man is not a day's job To be a married man no be moimoi... Don't get me wrong, chastity is sexy and I'm 100% in support of it. realmindz: 2 Likes |

True. Especially with the current economic situation. I heard a med that used to cost 180 per sachet of 10 tablets now costs N3,200 for same dose. Makes you wonder how peeps are coping. Terrible. If you have good health, thank your God everyday. Kobojunkie: 5 Likes |

Precisely. Though I didn't say it reduces frequency, that was the person I quoted. Remember its used to treat cancer as well? I remember going through the side effects and was like WTF....pardon my french😊 Heck you dare not have babies while taking it unless you stop the medication for about 1 year and run tests to ensure it's been cleared from your system else you stand the hugh chance of having a deformed baby My question then was, so how would the patients handle the pain for that period? Hydroxyurea is a medication that was used for tests and trials in UCH at a time but I think it's been abandoned I'd advice against it cos it's side effects are too numerous and imo, the benefits ain't worth it. Again, my opinion pls. Toktee: 1 Like |
Family / Re: Parents With Sickle Cell Kids How Do You Cope? by Greattha: 11:37pm On Nov 30, 2023 |
First thing is to register them with a hospital with Haematology Department or access to a Haematology Consultant. Now, there aren't many of these around. Infact one of the best places for this is UCH Ibadan. Secondly, avoid Stress and Mosquitoes Thirdly, have a balanced diet and regular water intake. Water is life...it won't be palatable but they must carry water around and drink regularly. You'll also need funds for meds like folic acid, b complex etc For the pain, there's a potent combo of pain meds that I can suggest but you'd have to run it by your Haematology Consultant first for approval to determine if its safe for your siblings. . It works...knocks off pain in 1-2 hours Chat me privately if interested as I can't post it here Yemike: |
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Budget Vs Other African Countries Budget by Greattha: 7:04pm On Nov 29, 2023 |
abdeefggh: Interesting..so according to you or omokri, the terrible leadership and bad government that has plagued Nigeria is not to be blamed but her 200M "entitled" citizens? Wow. Did you bother to imagine how things would be if there was good leadership with the so called small budget? Imagine if greedy politicians like Reno and others were not cornering the common wealth into their's and their families ' personal accounts. What Why am I suprised? If a minister can blame bad roads and it's lack of repairs on his constituents hence his need to be given a brand new SUV. |

Are you drunk or what? Where in my post did you see me advocate for drug dealers? Drug dealers are a menace that should be eradicated. I only drew the attention of Nigerians trying desperately, deceiving themselves that they're seen as different...igbo, yoruba or hausa no one outside 9ja cares...you're all one. You can continue fighting each other within 9ja but don't make the foolish mistake of trying to differentiate yourselves out here. Read to comprehend before quoting and typing rubbish. Alaigbo: |

Well, it's not like government work is all that these days except you rise to certain levels and are in lucrative mdas/ ministries. The beauty is in the supposed security. However, do your best to maintain the two cos the current economic situation of Nigeria doesn't really support small businesses. You can't plan or predict anything for now You're operating online so keep at it, whatever stress you're going through will sort itself out soon. The day you quit your government job, you'll immediately regret it... Keep your head high and it'll all work out. My 2 cents. Hamachi: 1 Like |

You're so drowned in bigotry to know when someone is insulting you. No amount of shalaye would separate you. To them you're a foreigner...a Nigerian Foreigner. They don't give a flying f*ck wether you're Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba Don't worry when that xenophobia 2 that you and your ilk on Nl so exciteldy anticipate begins, wait to see if you'll be able to explain that you're a Nigerian but not Igbo. Delusions of grandeur. Kai. At least South Africans, regardless of tribe are united against a common enemy (Foreigners) unlike Nigerians who have no clue who their true enemies are. ElohimShenRa: |

Politics / Re: FHA Demolition: Tears, Grief As Abule Ado Landlords Count Losses by Greattha: 3:16am On Nov 27, 2023 |
For those celebrating the fact that mainly igbos were named, there's really no need for this....it could affect any tribe...there was a Benue man there We need to stop this ignorant attitude of bigotry. The lesson here is obey the laws of the land because one day, things will take shape in Nigeria and laws would be upheld by the authorities without prejudice. How can you build on roads, waterways, pipelines and under high tension wires and not expect a day of reckoning? Prospective land owners must confirm and avoid FG and SG acquisition lands and obey the laid down rules. There's more to come because when it comes to building, Nigerians seem not to understand the importance of layouts and properly planned neighbourhoods. Decades ago I remember when I was serving with ministry of lands & Housing and we had to go demolish some illegal shanties.....it was a pitiful sight but guess what, they'd been served notices like years and years before but because no one enforced it, they continued the infractions until that government that year that decided to effect the law irrespective of if you were the oba's family....only those with documents were compensated. I also remember one place called apete in ibadan over 20 years ago when I was being encouraged to buy some acres...when I got there I ran with my head because I saw gutters and soakaway pits crossing people's living quarters...no plans, no layouts. Some people even buy and build up locations allocated for circular roads because they didn't check the master plan of the area or they simply didn't care. I don't know if things have changed there today but if not, you can imagine when government would descend on these locations, the offenders would start panicking. Goodvibes007: |
