GreenandGold, Jl115, finally!
How long have we been saying Denel's 8 or 9 companies should be rationalized into a logical sectorally-driven 4!

I did not even notice Denel had so many companies.... I lost interest in it, all thanks to the Zuptas.

The Kenya Defence Forces’ Rapid Response Unit (RRU), in collaboration with the USAF Special Operations Squadron, carried out special training exercises in Archers Post, Samburu County.

EX-JUSTIFIED ACCORD 2024 underscores the importance of joint training and cooperation in addressing complex security challenges in East Africa.

I would like to see a joint training between the KDF and SANDF elite units... that would be interesting to see.

Boss what do you make of this...?

I find it diabolical tho... sanctioning a country that has experienced the evils of apartheid simply because they're fighting against same apartheid.

The international system is so messed up.

Republicans are now the majority in Congress... they're Israeli simps and of course, it's a scare tactic.

RIP and speedy recovery to the wounded.

I simply don't think the M23 can carry out such accurate mortar attacks, to me this screams Rwandan Special Forces.

RIP to the deceased. 🕊⛪

Rwandese radars and SAM have been spotted inside the borders of the DRC, supporting M23. They actually tried to shoot down an Italian Falco UAV, in service with the UN.

Things are going to get very interesting, all because Kagame was allowed to shelter these murderers, after they were defeated back in 2013.

That SAM looks like food for artillery.

It also does not help that the Kenyans shook hands, drank coffee with the them, and let them off like that. They have regrouped, re-armed and ironed out their tactical shortfalls, they're now a different M23.

This BS pisses me off. Almost a year to the day when a sniper shot at an Oryx in the DRC, injuring the pilot and killing Flight Sergeant Mabena, this happens.
The common denominator? Both aircraft were sent out without a pair of Rooivalk to provide top cover, as SAAF doctrine demands.

Imagine an Orxy being shot down and crew killed or captured. Imagine the bad PR it would have on our military..

I say the S. African contribution to the DRC UN mission should be scrapped, we have done more than enough there, the country will never be fixed as long as Paul Kagame is still in the Rwandan leadership.

Greenandgold, so yesterday afternoon I tell my woman I'm taking the dog out for a walk at Milnerton beach.
"But you hate Milnerton!"
I reply, "It's the closest beach where dogs are allowed to run freely."
I neglect to tell her AFB Ysterplaat is up the road and 2 Squadron and their Gripens are in town practicing for SONA. grin grin grin

The dog got her exercise, and the human got his fighter jet fix.

That's why one must always bring a proper camera everywhere they go.... grin grin grin

The only thing that baffles me about South Africa is that Whites in your country are just 20% and yet they own 80% of the land... You haven't solved that finish but you want to solve injustice in far away Palestine.

What's that...??

Before you talk about South African land issues, please attend to yours.

I initially studied law, graduated and was about to start pupillage. Changed my mind and went back to do economics. So, even though I've got the certification, no, I'm not a lawyer.

The law as a discipline I still find fascinating, it's the practice I cannot abide.

That makes the two of us... I didn't go to economics though

I say we secretly buy one used C-130J Hercules at a time... The Royal Air Force just retired a fleet of them.

No bids, no media ceremonies, no BS... just buy the machine and integrate it with the SAAF and move on.

I'm more interested in the medium-transport space. The Brazilians Embraer C-390 was here last week for tests. We need at least 9 as a replacement for our old C-130s, and the Brazilians are trying to sweeten the deal by moving some Embraer MRO activity here.
They tried a decade ago, but when Bolsonaro became president, SA/Brazil collaboration was kiboshed; let's see if relations improve now Lula and the PT are back in power.

Turbojet engines ....yikes, we don't use those

Again, we will never have nice things, the media and Twitter people will make sure of it.

Israeli/Palestine conflict is not and will never be a South African problem. If it currently affects South African politics or economic systems today, that's because you guys made it so.

SA doesn't not have any geopolitical footprint in the ME. There are no shared interests with either Palestine or Israel and TBH, it is a very different situation from the apartheid his of SA.

I'm not at all saying that countries should practice nonchalance towards conflicts that don't affect them. That would be very bad. What I'm against is people becoming emotionally invested in things that don't concern them. When people do so, they end up protracting the issue instead of resolving it. Countries throwing diplomacy under the bus and I'm wondering how that solves the problem.

Your leaders are preaching "diplomacy" when they should say "we can't say or do anything because we store the money we steal from you in Europe, Israel and the US"... Nigeria did stick its neck out for South Africa during Apartheid because your leaders had nothing to lose from the SA government, but everything to gain by scamming you into thinking you were donating money to SAn "suffering blacks".... You always need to see beyond the nonsense.

Here; Paramount Group is accused of selling weapons to Israel, do you know why? The founder of the company is Jewish... if accusations appear to be valid to the SA public (chances are they are not), Paramount Group may be overlooked by Armscor for the new SANDF acquisition contracts in fear of a public backlash... this is Middle-Eastern politics affecting SA politics... its the sh#t you fail to understand.

The Israel-Palestine issue is not an African problem, it is not a Nigerian problem.

It's a South African problem, it affects our policies, affects internal South African politics.

Boko Haram is not a South African problem, it does not affect our policies and politics, and it does nothing to us BUT you post it all day long because it affects you.... everyone on his lane.
