My own was nearly but not caught , the girl came over without telling me ,at least no one was at home , she said no light in her area and she wants to watch film , ehn enhh enhh , na so 30 mins into film cloths Don fly off , na so my mummy dey knock gate say make I come open am , na so I take the girl to my room , lock her for cupboard ! , My mum came to collect her phone which she forgot , after she left we continued, I love rainy season Sha, e dey spoil light and we dey always get fuel , all those girl wey be my friends go come dey visit because of boredom , once dem dey come , I go just ready down !

This is the theif and fraudster, he stole the phone and hacked the account , he was foolish enough to use his main account .

This is his pictures , the person recognizes him , he stole the phone when he was pretending to have a cough , any useful information on his whereabout will be highly appreciated .

Please forward this to your relatives especially elderly ones with life savings in that bank , it is better they keep it under their bed than save it with first bank !

I suspect this is his profile , the account the money was transferred to is a Polaris bank account .

There must have been a saved PIN on his phone or SIM. There's no way funds will move without passwords.

that simcard had few contacts, just a minor sim , and he expressely stated that he never saved any information relating to his bank on the sim .

he told me his password is 15 letters and symbols , so he basically uses the fingerprint instead

Hello, its not possible to transfer money off your account using your phone via mobile app or the USSD platform without your pin. Probably he stored his pin in his phone. Report the matter to the police.

You passworded your phone but didn't password your SIM. Hence your SIM is linked to your account anybody that has it can easily remove it from your phone, put in another phone and gain access to your account.
Do not blame your bank because it's still the same SIM that will receive the alert and OTP if needed and the criminal has it in his possession.

What they usually do is to purchase airtime from the account using the *904# ussd code. It works for all banks if I'm not mistaken.

Next time try and activate pin code or sim lock on your SIM.

every transaction requires a 4 digit PIN , regardless of OTP ,how did the fraudster gain access without it ?

Did your friend save his account details in his SIM Card? How was it that it was that easy to just transfer his money to another account with just his SIM card maybe? Where are the bankers here pls.

Any transaction requires a pin , but this person could not have known it , so the issues lies on firstbank to show us how it happened on their end .

First bank has refused to help , they want this matter to die because they don't want to do anything about it , we went to their branch and they keep telling us there is nothing they can do !
