This Édouard Mendy transfer is developing all sort of k-leg. He has returned to training with Rennes as they are demanding Tomori loan as part of the deal.
And what's difficult in letting Tomori join 'em on loan? Afraid he'll come back as a French speaking CB which in turn will disrupt good communication at the back?

I've always wanted a Ligue I move for the young lad, and this is a great chance for us. I've been following the French Ligue I for some years now and I can authoritatively tell you that that league is Europe's real talent hotbed. If I were to send a young player out on loan, to have him equipped for the big stage, the Ligue I is my go-to league.

This is a league where the least rated club have an organized psychological wellness programme that offers yoga sessions, hypnotherapy and access to mental preparation coaches for players. You'll find clubs with grounds where technical dexterity and individual expression are allowed to flourish.

I rate Tomori very highly and I believe a move to Rennes will improve him massively. That boy kicks the leather much better than Rudiger and Zouma, while being much stronger than Christensen. He just need a little mental lift to become that ideal player for us.

I was so sure he will flop. My instinct are ussually correct, it fails me only very few times. Ziyech and werner will be very good. Costa and chilwell will play normal. Kai will flop. Kepa will be forgotten soon.

Get this now my guy. Anytime you see supporters making excuses for any player, saying he is played out of position, the system dint suit him, give him time. Walahi that player na otu. The player I saw today is clearly out of his depth. They want to divert attention to RLC. Like we wont notice
And since you've noticed what is the worst you can do? Bark from the other end with your device in your hands?

19 pages of jealousy-ridden pages. I wonder why anyone thinks net-spend is a "convenient excuse". Chelsea has transitioned from a club that spent Russian money frivolously, to a well-run club. The club relies heavily on annual sales to fund transfers and that equals net-spend.

One of the many business strategies that Chelsea employs is the strategic scouting of fringe players. These players may or may not make it. These are the likes Lucas Piazon, Pasalic, Papy Djilobodji, Matt Miazga, Michael Hector, Keneth Omeruo, Danilo Pantic, Baba Rahman, to name a few. Recently, the likes of Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba have been picked up on a free.

Hector, Pasalic, Djilobodji are examples of players who have recently been sold on for more money than were purchased for, whilst all the time, their loan fees cover initial transfer value.

Their sell-on fee don't hit the news because they are not high profile. But £8m here, £6m there, £10m there all add up. Why would anyone think this does not matter?
You don't expect these dundees to understand your point, do you?

It's not worth it man.

Well, let's see what happens.

BTW, how do you hope to bypass the Manchester players conundrum? Will you buy and keep them on the bench or will you select without them and use your WC early?
We all need the first week points, just avoid them with Citeh premium signings, then use the WC on GW2 and 3.

I think you are underestimating Leeds. They just might surprise people.
Dominating possession in the Championship is an entirely different ball-game to replicating that in the Premier League. It's the only reason they kept out teams at the lower tier.

Liverpool will cease possession and expose their backline.

In that order?
Sure.

The only tweak I could make right there is Salah leapfrogging TAA. I expect a goal fest against Leeds with a clean sheet for the Kops. You'll naturally expect both TAA and Salah to be heavily involved in those goals.

how about we used a standard site rating to adjudge the players. A site like who scored that isn't bais
We'll still be suggesting the same thing. At the end of the day, our judgement will be influenced by how consistent the player kept scoring, assisting etc which all come in the form of stats.

No standard site uses a metric like how many UCL or World Cup won to adjudge who's a top player, we only see that on Nairaland.

MercylessMercy:
What is the standard metrics of judging and rating players this new season. Is it goal scored, or assist or performance on the big the stage, or only ucl performance?

Pls let's have this discussion now.

E get why.

Are we rating number of pk scored?
The standard metric to adjudge a player has always been consistency. Consistency in goal scoring, assists and overall performance.

I cringe when I read craps like "He isn't a top player b'cos he doesn't perform in big games". That criterion alone doesn't make one a top player, rather how consistent they've been with other metrics I.e goals, assists etc.

Fabregas is among the best midfielders in the world, however, he loses his guile at the most crucial part of the season. February-June is the festive period of the Champions League; the knock-outs. And he almost always fails to deliver when it is needed the most. Should we now say he's a fraud cos of that alone?

Ibrahimovic has won almost everything there is to win at club level – except for the holiest trophies of them all: the Champions League. Should we now adjudge him by that failure?

Don't read those craps Dayo and some scummies post about UCL this, World Cup that. The only metric that count most is CONSISTENCY. Let's stick to that.
