MorataFC: CFC will regret this massively in two to three years from now if they allow Timo Werner to go. Timo may flourish in a league that isn’t as ‘tough’ as the EPL, but you see here, it’s a mismatch. Person wey dey confess say for this life him never face defenders that are as huge and intimidating as EPL defs. No be submission be that? Abeg. |

If either of this deal should happen, then it’s definitely a win-win situation for both parties.
Let’s just give them the three players if possible. Not a fan of De Ligt, but give them the three I say.

I really feel for Leeds. Losing their best two players in one window shows lack of ambition.
But then, there was nothing they could have done, City and Chelsea came knocking. |

donstan18: Still doesn’t make it a good opinion. Well, I said I hate to say it. Any top forward would labour through his way to score for us with the sort of supporting cast we have. Pulisic, Odoi, Ziyech and who again? I believe an upgrade on what we have upfield will see even the dumbest forward do at least double 20 goals in all comps then you have the fluid attacking play. Havertz can do it. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Griffon: 10:23pm On Jun 28, 2022 |
nihilistjnr: Very happy with Raphina.
Seems like Havertz is now officially a 9. Saw the dream in May. Griffon: Going forward, I wouldn’t mind building this team around Havertz, as much as I hate to say it.
The fluidity of the positional setup is just one part of the beautiful game. TT was trying this out this season with the triumvirate of Pulisic Havertz and Mount, but then, there was no way that could have effectively worked without a solid midfield base.
We tend to look predictable when Lukaku leads the line. He simply finds it tough getting involved in a fluid attacking play with his teammates, this of course can be attributed to his poor technical ability.
Since ‘rebuilding’ is the word on everyone’s lips, I’ll say let’s prioritize the acquisition of a top attacking midfielder to line up with Mount and Havertz upfield, a top CM, a backup LB for Chilwell and two CBs.
We can try prizing away either of Chiesa or Gnabry from their respective teams. If Dembele is available, then he’s equally a good alternative.
Tchoaumeni should be the man for the CM role, then Kounde/Fofana/Colwill should sort the defense out.
If we must challenge on all fronts next season, this is what we should be looking at or a template as such:
Mendy/Pope
Kounde/Azpilicueta Silva/Fofana Colwill/?
James/Sterling Kante/Kovacic Tchoaumeni/Gallagher Chilwell/?
Mount/Pulisic Havertz/Lukaku Chiesa/Gnabry/Odoi |

kingBolton: Are we buying ake as a backup or starter? Wouldn't it be better to replace sarr with one of the young stars (Ampadu and colwill) returning from loan than splash another 30million on Ake? It should be Ake arriving as a starter whilst the recalled Colwill provides cover. That would simply fill the Rudiger’s vacuum and future uncertainties concerning the LCB. |

Na Ake own get as he be. I’ll have Ake over most names we’ve been linked this window. He’s solid, EPL seasoned and versatile enough to play as a CB, LCB and LWB. |

He suppose get other businesses he dey run abi he no get work? I feel Boehly is just one of those emotional Chelsea fans who crave to call the shots at their beloved club and would do about anything to actualize that dream. He’s got the chance, let’s see how he coughs. I heard he’s transitioned into new roles, cleaned up the board, addressed ticket issues and has offloaded Big Rom in matter of weeks. Make we just relax as I believe that his next ticking would be to see us become active shoppers in the transfer market. I think we’re going all out for Sterling, Dembele, Rice and De Light. Those deals are on the card. |

The former two will upgrade our team massively than a single overpaid injury prone rockstar.
At this point I’ll take Dickson Etuhu, even if he’s going to be our only signing. Just sign a human being. |

raumdeuter: It's not even sure Gnabry will be staying. My preference would be Gnabry and Sane starting though. Coman has elements of Hazard shakushaku in his game. Things like trying to dribble one player 3,4 times before making the pass Omo if Gnabry isn’t staying, I would really love to see him at the Bridge honestly. Boy is so direct and all about business, I think he has the numbers to back that fact up too. The prospect of seeing Gnabry and Mane linking up with Lewy is something else. |

Raumdeuter, I have a quick one for you. With the arrival of Mane, which of the trio of Gnabry, Sane and Koman do you see getting a starting berth or getting relegated to the bench?
Based on injury history and current form. |
