You are very correct ma, this is not far from the truth, my last application denial shocked me. All my documents were genuine, intact with correct POF plus I have been to Brazil and back before. Honestly, Nigerians need to stop overheating any Japa means, they need to take it easy with all this content creation. It's destroying everything for us, samething with UK and Canada. Once a Nigerian gets abroad they 90% of them On Camera and start content. It's good but too much is really bad. Secondly majority of those content creator are now using it as hustle. Birth/Citizenship tourism assistant for a fee. These embassies are seeing all these content and taking note to protect their system.
It's really sad, that these behaviours are hindering many of us with genuine intentions. But it is what is.

untamedd:
It appears it doesn't matter if you have genuine documents or enough proof of funds these days, Nigerians are getting denied. I suspect they believe we don't have genuine tourism intentions and I blame all these social media buzz, ads and influencers. They can see all these birth tourism contents on TikTok etc . That is why people with confirmed intentions like study are getting approved regardless. Similar situation with the UK japa buzz.

Hello Guys, I see that visa application fees is now going to be in USD effective 1st June 2025. Is it possible to make payment for family tourist visa right now before we commence the application, to avoid the wahala of dollar payments. What do you think?

In addition to the above, I will like to kindly request that anyone who has applied for family reunion or tourist visa should help or chat me on the number in signature below. I will like to get help on step by step process to include my family in the application.

Thank you
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by Griot77(m): 5:18pm On Apr 22, 2025
Thanks well detailed and insightful, this is much appreciated.
Although when I applied on aline, I had included most of this, but will continue to improve on this as best as possible cos all my stuff was intact that I even thought I was overshearing.
At the end of the day, it's still their discretion.

Thank you.
dvs511:
There isn’t a set formula for this. Most times this is at the discretion of the consular officer.
One of the major reasons embassies deny visa is lack of ties of the applicant to their home country.
They want to see that you have a reason to return to your country after your trip. Such as, marriage/family, job, real estate properties.

Documents usually required by most embassies for visa applications are:

- If married, proof of marriage. Preferably official wedding certificate from the court.

- proof of employment. Such as employment letter, salary payslips, letter from your employer showing you applied for leave and it was approved.
If you’re self employed, make sure you have a company registered and provide the cac documents. Also make sure your company has been running for atleast 3 years and you pay tax. So also get your tax clearance certificate for the last 3 years.
A lot of people have cac registration but no TCC. Some embassies know that some of these companies are just registered for visa purposes especially when you don’t pay tax. So it’s a shell company not a actual running company

-if you have landed properties, include the documents to show proof.

- Money (very important). Make sure you have enough money in your account. How much? Can’t say.
Calculate like this. If you will spend 5 days there, do an estimate of daily feeding cost for each of you for the 5 days. Add the cost of flight tickets and accommodation. If all comes to say 10m naira, try to have a balance of atleast 15m naira.
You can’t say your trip will cost you 10m and your account balance is 12m. They won’t believe you’re using 95% of your savings for a trip.

Make sure the bank statement you provide is running. Don’t just deposit 25m there and leave it, then use it to apply. They will think the money is not yours and you borrowed it.
Use the account to do expenses like pay bills, shopping….. make them believe the money is yours and you’re using it.

If you’re traveling with kids, make sure the travel dates you selected are not when the kids are supposed to be in school.

Then hope for the best.
Good luck.

Good day everyone, please I will implore someone in the house who have gotten their tourist visa either as a single or married couple with kids to create a short guide, it could be in PDF or plain text that will be posted on this thread and can be referenced for a long time. This will be a game changer, because honestly I don't understand these Brazilian embassy anymore and how they turn down your application and yet provide no reason, despite taking time to carefully package your application with the right and authentic documents.
Particularly, I will really appreciate a practical step-by-step guide on how to apply as a family of 4, POF required and documents.

Thank you in advance

Got my parcel yesterday, and it's really shocking.
No letter or note providing reason for denial, they just returned my documents same I sent it.
The online application page moved from under review to Not Approved. No reasons whatsoever.

I don't know what to right now, if am reapplying, do I need to pay another application fee or I should rework my application and update all the documents and resend.

These guys are not nice at all, at least if you deny an application, give reasons and guide on wayforward

Lohinma:
Have you received the parcel or how did you arrive at your conclusion

A guy raised such alarm sometimes that his Pavel also was returned while still on under review and the reason being that he should include a 3 month bank statement and not 6months.
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by Griot77(m): 6:05pm On Oct 22, 2024
Honestly, I can't tell what the problem is, but I expected that there would have been a mail requesting for an update on any of the items or documents. Not a straight Denial.

I look forward to their feedback to better understand the issues.
I was in Brazil in February this year.

luqaz:
Wow this is sad, Did you do anything different this time around? When was your last trip?
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by Griot77(m): 5:45pm On Oct 22, 2024
Hello Guys,
I just got a message from DHL this afternoon that my application is being returned. No prior mails from the embassy to request any update or documents. Straight Denial and This is like a Renewal of Visa, this is not my first time of applying. Also I was in Brazil early this year.

I have sent them an email for explanation.
Calmly waiting for their response.
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by Griot77(m): 3:02pm On Oct 07, 2024
No, I waited for their email instruction asking me to send my documentation to the embassy.
You can't send documentation to the embassy without that email instruction which you also have to print out like a bar code on their appointment booking site. That bar code is very important.

Ronke04:
you mean you sent your physical documents without a mail asking for it? and it was accepted at the consulate? please clarify. maybe this is what a lot of us are missing. thank you
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by Griot77(m): 1:14pm On Oct 06, 2024
I've gotten 2 different mails from the consulate in the last one week, both mail looks generic and not telling me anything specific to my application. Nothing missed out, in fact I'm a bit scared that I overpride more information and details than I should and my application is for Renewal of VIVIS.

Let's wait and see, maybe they have a new system or team.

Also I submitted my online application few days before sending my physical documents.

I pray for the best for all of us.

CindyByFine:
I got same this morning oh....by 1:00am.

Honestly, I am tired at this point too.. because why the unsolicited emails? Does it mean I missed something or what in my application?
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by Griot77(m): 3:21pm On Sep 15, 2024
Hello Sir/Ma, I just submitted my application for VIVIS, Although I've been to Brazil before, my visa expired in February this year, so i am reapplying.

A friend helped with the previous application but currently not available, so am doing this application by myself. I have followed all the process but am not clear about the process on selecting courier as a means to transmit my documents to the embassy and i cant see that option on the online portal.
Secondly if am using courier kindly expansiate on the two way delivery, is it that I pay DHL for 2-in-1 parcels for both delivery and return?
Lastly, the Brazil consulate is close to my office, can I choose to deliver by hand?

I have booked my appointment through that portal using my passport, payment receipt and protocol page. Am yet to receive any confirmation email? How long does this take? Am I doing it wrongly or what other means can I use.

Appreciate your feedbacks

To everybody that wants to apply for a Brazil Visa this is the steps

Get all your documents ready(flight, hotel reservation, bank statement etc)

Create a profile on https://ec-lagos.itamaraty.gov.br/ after creating the profile you will see a manual form you have to print and fill manually, and other things you will need to submit on Brazil main website. The Visa fees and bank account will also be there.

Then visit https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/cidadao-nacionalidade you will need to translate to English, click on foreign citizen, then click on visa, fill the forms with the correct information and all. If you are applying for more than 1 person you have to fill the form for every body applying to get the visa, same at the lagos website too *when filling the form choose via courier to transmit your document to embassy*

After filling the form, and attaching your documents which include the manual form you filled and others specifically stated by the lagos ec, then go ahead and print the protocol page which has a space for passport and signature. Attach your passport picture and manually sign the page, then scan the page.

Sign in to your profile on https://ec-lagos.itamaraty.gov.br/ to upload your protocol page, proof of payment and international passport bio data page then click submit.

A mail will be sent to your email associated with the Ec lagos acct about your application being reviewed, at this stage you will have to mail your physical documents including your passport to the embassy in lagos(it will have to be a two way package delivery, you send to embassy then they send back to you)

After sending your documents to embassy visit https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/cidadao-nacionalidade then click on check status to see the status of your visa application

Wait Wait Wait.

Wish you success in your Visa Application

Not a good outlook if you ask me, they will now scrutinize every female or pregnant female trying to travel to Brazil. Birthing onboard a flight is big risk, what if she needed emergency surgery or other kind of care not available onboard that flight and which could put her life at risk. Nigerians should learn to do the right thing at the right time.
This could potentially block this pathway for others.

Hello,

I have a similar experience, I had a 5 years US ban that expired in December 2022 and I recently just got my RFV though mine was FSW.

You need to answer YES to the question if you have been refused entry or denied visa question. Thereafter, explain the reason for the ban and how your circumstances has changed since then ( i.e Job experience, professional qualifications and any other selling point you might have). Just be truthful in all your response and i believe you will be good.

I'm available for any other follow up questions.

Good evening everyone, please i need some clarification regarding misrepresentation: I received a five year ban in June 2017 for misrepresentation on my Canada study visa application due to the agent i used for the application....long story. Right now i am making some PNP and express entry application and sometimes i get some questions like if i have received a ban for mispresention in the last 5 years , what is supposed to be my response , is it a YES or NO?
Secondly, i know the ban has expired since June 2022, is there any chance that it might still affect my applications in anyway? who has had any ban experience and later turn out well, please share your experience and tips.

Thank you

Hello Everyone, just to inform you all that NTNU sent me a mail yesterday, I was not offered admission because of my low CGPA(2.91) compared to other applicants for the courses I applied for.
Thanks for the support here, we move!

Hello there, I hope this is not too late

1. Yes, it is possible to apply to two schools at the same time using the same profile.

2. I think the school might be concerned if the money hasn't been in your account for up to 3months but since you'll be sending it to them to create a Norwegian bank account on your behalf, everything should be well in the end.

3. The gap shouldn't be an issue if you've detailed the reason for the gap in your SOP and it sounds like you've been working for most of those 12 years so you should be fine.

4. Advice that you stare off WhatsApp or Telegram channels as scam activities are easily perpetuated on eager Nigerians that want to travel by all means. Nairaland is the best for you, trust me. Information is never deleted and it's all in the open for everyone to see and learn from your steps in the nearest future.

Good luck in all your endeavours
Thanks very much for your response, I have put in my application and all the necessary steps. Just waiting and locking forward to a positive response.

Hello Everyone, please I need help especially from experienced members who have applied in the past, I have a few questions and concerns;
1. I want to apply to NTNU and University of Stavanger both applications will go through the soknaweb page. Is is possible to apply to 2 schools at the same time? On University of Stavanger page, it says they don't allow a candidate to have 2 profile. Please help me here.

2. I want to liquidate one of my asset to get the funds into the account and generate the account statement as proof of funds, I want to do this by weekend and generate the statement 48 hours after, hope this won't be am issue for the fact that the money is not in the account for long?

3. I have about 12 years Gap, finished my first degree in 2010 with 2.2(2nd class lower) but I have detailed my work experience on my CV and also detailed my SOP, will the academic Gap be an issue?

4. Any general advise and is there any WhatsApp or telegram group I can join to get further information and support?

Thanks and God bless everyone reading this and ready to guide.
