My cousin is married with 3 kids aged 5, 3 and 1-and-a-half (all boys) She doesnt beat them when they do something wrong and i must say they are a bunch of mischief. She scolds them tho, at the top of her voice i must add. But no matter how mean she looks and how sharp her voice is, they react by running away and giggling.
She started with the first (who is now 5) and now the rest have joined in the fray. I've told her to beat them but she says she prefers scolding. I've even tried beating them on one occasion but i got my own share of harsh words (only i didnt run away giggling)
