I no even know weytin to talk. Topper33: Good evening My People
With 300k, what is the solar panel setup one can get for the following loads
6 DC fans (30 watts each)
Ten 5 watts bulbs
Normal phone charging
I am looking at a setup with a panel since there is no electricity in the area(bad transformer)
Your advise and recommendations would be appreciated
PS(power tanks already cost this amount but does not come with panel, so it's already beyond my friends budget) |

Na you dey fear. Connect the 585w hoover420: Hmm, meaning the possibility of my 2 panels hitting 100v is low right? Even my single 535 watt have never cross 44v even on peak sunny days. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 11:32am On Jul 12 |
This is my generation from 2 535w bifacial panels. As you can see, I am hitting 980w.i even hit 1.05w briefly. My pv voltage didn't go past 75v. The highest I get is 85v that's early morning sef. @hoover420

You people and advice. Person dey fear 5v but you dey advise am to connect 2 13a panels in parallel for an inverter that takes a max of 18A brightk: this matter don too drag 4 long. Bros install ur panels in parallel.. just find way to provide extra cooling for your inverter |

Baba abeg no sell those panels. If you want to sell anything it has to be that inverter. Sell it and go for bread 1.5kva. That beast can generate up to 2000w from solar. You can even use 4 panels on the bread hoover420: Quick question pls, is it because of the high wattage of the panels or can I just sell off the panels and get smaller ones like 250 watts X 4 Will it work with the inverter or the inverter is just too small to carry any panel above 500watt? Cos tbh, the 535 watt I installed is working perfectly. |

Bread 1.5kva eghos12: What brand of inverter you use?? |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 5:32pm On Jul 10 |
This one na lie. I get 800-1.1kw on my 2 535w jinko bifacial eghos12: One of the main issue of that high voc is that you have to get to 350v for you to get a sweet yield. Having only two panel may give him less than 700w generated |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 5:30pm On Jul 10 |
Bro check your mc4 connectors. Something similar happened to me. It was the mc4 connectors Sapiosexuality: I've already replaced the breakers on the first day that I noticed the problem.
Could it be a damaged cable? A week or two back, I was using it to boil water, something I rarely do and the water got so heated that I heard a spark on one of the cables.
Though nothing happened after that and I just simply unplugged it. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 2:48pm On Jul 10 |
Bro, nack the 585w together with the 535. The 585w and 535 has the same voc. It won't get to 100v. I have 2 535w in series and the highest I have seen my voc is 85-90v. While working it is mostly on 75-80v. It will work. hoover420: The Jinko 535 watt I installed is not up to 50v. But the new 585 i got is up to that, not sure though. Also, what do you mean by shading? There is no how you get 105v. After all the voltage loss due to cabling and distance. If I be you, I go nack am this weekend. Monitor the thing all weekend |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 11:39am On Jul 10 |
Just close eye buy bread inverter. 500v dc. You can stack 4 of your panels hoover420: Omoh Solar setup just cost more and more money. This is just a 12v system and I have already spent way more than I imagined. When I wanted to get the Haisic 1.5kva & 3.6kwh battery, no one told me I’ll still need an MPPT for just 2 panels but lesson learnt . There is absolutely no advantage of using a 12v system if you’ll still have to use MPPT that cost money. Now I can see myself spending another reasonable sum just to charge battery while still spending close to 25k every month on electricity (prepaid). Anyways my location is mainland Lagos and I’ll be interested in the USED 80A MPPT you have for sale. Thank you! |
