How do one know 100% copper. Tho the seller says it has 100% copper but I no get trust issues. I will go ahead with 10mm

I used 10mm for thunder arrestor (100% copper arrestor), and 6mm for earthing from DB (both comester) with bonding done. It has been serving me well.

YES if you can't afford quality thick copper. Even PHCN / NEPA uses aluminium. It needs LARGEr and FASTer FLOW. You better of with Thicker aluminium (25mm or higher) than Thinner Copper (e.g 6mm or lower). buy the big bundle. Omo Igbo dey get 2 sizes BUT na the smaller bundle dem go first show you BUT the moment they see you knw what you want, even if you fake it, dem go enter bring am come. na just skiKiNi extra money dey on top. If possible, you could go for the much thicker ones BUT you wouldn't easily see them sold on streets, na for market or shops where they majorly sell cables you go see those THICKer ones.

BUT you do need understand connection as Aluminium cable and copper are not so friendly. You don't just tie them together. Except the person doing it knows what they doing, just TRY get Copper BUT must be at least 10mm and complete Ooo. Not 10mm that's 6mm.

You need understand what happens most times. If I were a copper wire seller, and not in a position to rely on genuine sales, I would always try make you believe COPPER cables is better in every situation even if you need hold your trousers, or lace your shoes.

When e happen, it needs a large enough conductor to flow through hence the THICKer, the better. To me, minimum of 10mm. Copper is more preferable here though Aluminium can still work BUT ensure the earth rod and plate are all good copper.

Yes it was even the installer that tested it at first and it was showing overload, we later on the Gen to test the pump to see if the installation was correct, the Gen power the pump but I noticed that the pump power was dragging the Gen then usual, bcus na the Gen I they use pump every time I know the way the sound they be anytime I switch on pump, when the installer left I test it twice one was showing over load and the other was reading 4.1kw I quickly off the pump before I later try it this afternoon and this evening I even just try it again this evening b4 typing this to be very sure and it is pumping pulling btw 1.8kw and 1.9kw..

I just feel there are better ways to communicate what you are trying to say.

mayBe now is time to gradually load it to see how far it can go. Just not allow it get to point of shutDown. You could one by one turn loads to see how many consecutive load it can carry before nearing high load.

BUT once again, should your load always remain less than 80%, chance of you having business with engineer would be low. Just ensure the airVents are always clean.

The power factor of inverter is 1 that's what is stated in the inverter manual
The battery bms has a surge of 270amp± before striping off according to the manual
The Generator that powers the same pump is 7kva
I tink the issue is the inverter cause anytime I switch on the inverter the pump power in watt goes as high as 4.1kw before showing over load

I think another issue is the 100a continuous discharge current that can limit you if you change the pump. But you can still dismantle the battery and change the bms to a higher one

I also do it for fun. But when you only have Saturday and Sunday before work on Monday, you will be interested in other fun stuffs.

You also didn't state the model or type of inverter you using as not all inverters are able to shutDown on low battery hence you might have ended up using the battery till it's too low that it died.

Another is, you probably bought fake batteries hence reason it's weakk within a Year. Even if you buy Lithium based batteries, should you repeat same mistake, expect similar result.

It's obvious even your charge controller is PWM. WhoEver setUp that system for you PROBABLY cashed out

your panels is too small to charge 2 tubular batteries full. Also you have been using the battery till it dies. Tubular batteries don't like full discharge. What kind of inverter do you use? If money dey to buy lithium please do but that won't solve the problem you are having. Let us know all the components of your system then we can advise you on which way to go

at least 4pcs of 400w or 3pcs of 500w (halfCut) mono solar panels BUT still, to be on safe side, especially since you using a hybrid inverter, would suggest you show us a picture of the sticker on the inverter's body to avoid assumptions.

unfortunately, if that battery is a genuine Quality one, it's much better than lots of Lithium based batteries in the market. He just need ensure the electrolyte level never goes lower than necessary.

The person who did that instal ought to have helped to not allow the battery occupy space much e.g placing them side by side or on top of each other in a way they remain safe.

meanWhile, haven't given up on the idea of building a custom inverter system that works Solar first, battery second. Have itemize all that's required. na time and money remain. This approach drops stress on batteries to a minimum especially during the day
