Why do we create suspicion out of nowhere? The guideline is clear, the money required for your studies and maintenance must be in your account for a minimum of 28 days and must not drop below the required amount for the days in question. The statement is also valid for 31 days from the 28th day; therefore you have met the minimum requirement. Please go ahead to submit your application. The only caution is to ensure that the bulk deposit that is part of your POF does not reflect in the statement to avoid NSF and delay your decision time. tinkerbell9798: |
When you say ' na POS business you dey do (na evidence but an to prove am be the koko). My feedback is based on the assumption you graduated in 2019; this is not up to 5 years though; but see below: 1. Are you the owner of the business? If yes, then ensure to add your CAC document; and ensure the status is active on the CAC website. 2. If you are not the owner or the business is not registered, it means you will need to add additional documents like statement of account for the POS transactions for say the last 2 years, if possible for how long you have been running the business. 3. Whether the business is registered or not, you will still need to on a separate sheet explain to them what the business is about, your contribution and what you do. This should be the first page; put it in a word document and save it in .pdf and include it as part of the attachment. Include links if you have social media presence as well (if you do it in word and save in pdf they will still be able to click the links if they wish). 4. If you rent a place or pay the local government any form of tax for the business, then attach the payment receipts, if possible snap pictures of the place as well and ensure to add the address. 5. Go and do TCC for self-employed, if you live in Lagos, it will cost you like 150k and you will get it officially, show you have been paying taxes for the last 3 years. 6. Your NYSC should cover anytime from 2019 to 2021, depending on when you went to serve so reattach your NYSC certificate again. 7. Covid also impacted businesses from 2020 to 2021, so if it affected your business you can be open about it; they understand all these things. You can just say you could do any work during this period as COVID-19 impacted most businesses. Only use this if you don't have anything to do for this period e.g If your NYSC was during this period then ignore. 8. If you did anything certification during this period, then also add it; don't forget to document it cover page as per point 3 This is what I can think of right now. The worst that will happen is they will schedule you for an interview, to assess whether you are still in the right frame of mind to be able to complete a Master's degree programme. duduade16: |
This is weird, they usually won't even allow you to submit the application if the passport has more than 6 months before expiration. They will tell you to come back when it is exactly six months to expiry. You can actually apply before 6 months, but you will need a strong justification; the truth is that the officers 'sef' don't want to go through that stress so they will even discourage you. This was my experience at Ikoyi passport office, so I just waited 'jejely' until exactly 6 months and applied. Anyway back to the current status, after insisting that it was less than 3 months, what did they say? Did you show them the old passport? Did it match with was in the application form? And where is the agent in all of this? Recommendation: Revisit the servicom office, ask to see your file and check what was submitted again; once you verify there is no error ask them the next step. If you are not getting any positive response, then ask to see the PCO. Please be polite about it, there must be a way forward, you cannot be left hanging with no direction. In between, if you paid an agent then he should be in the picture; get him involved as he himself is not working alone, they usually work with NIS officials too (unless he os she is just a scam). P.S. I did self-service, no agent involved; it took about 15 weeks for my passport to come out. Otokitifunmi: |
If it is still her maiden name on her passport, then no need to add an additional name; just stick to the maiden name throughout the whole application. topie2sure: |
did you buy directly from the airline or an agent? If the airline, request online now and sees what it says......if through an agency, you may have to call them first thing tomorrow to know your options. For the latter, you can also login with your booking number to find out the fare / refund conditions. Now if you want a transit visa, then you can apply directly from the embassy and can take as much as 14 days (usually less). Check here for Germany: https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/-/2566462 I can see you have a flight for 18th August so your schedule is tight. I recommend you buy another ticket now if you have the money, cos every day the ticket they go up; cos even if you cancel the other one it may take some days to get a refund less penalty. Best wishes. Datakey: |
Yes. For context note that there is usually a last date to resume which can vary but I have seen up to 3 weeks after the official resumption date, so the ECO may also look at that in granting you a visa. Ensure to keep your school informed on your application. Now what can you do to improve the speed and success rate of your application? 1. Choose Flexi for a standard application to get a closer date for biometrics 2. Pay for Priority (5 days) or Super Priority Visa (1 day) decision; please note that if you suspect your application won't be straightforward, you may want to rethink this as you may not get a response within the promised time 3. Ensure to include all the supporting documents to reduce the possibility of an NSF Some of the major things that can lead to an NSF? 1- Financial Documents - Insufficient balance or delayed response from your financial institution; a fake document will most likely lead to outright rejection and or ban 2 - Unexplained study gap if more than 5 years; if you have more than 5 years then include all relevant employment letters / promotion letters for the period. 3 - Previous Visa Rejection Not reported - please report it sincerely; I have not seen anyone rejected for stating previous visa rejections. Note that a visa rejection is not the same thing as a ban; the latter is a different ballgame 4 - Previous Travels to sanctioned countries - they might want to know what you want there to do 5 - Not uploading the required documents I recommend you read the first page of the thread to get more details on the necessary documents required; if you have any challenges filling out the visa application forms then you can share screenshots (hide private details) here and there are experts here who are thankfully sacrificing their time to assist us. I will let the experts respond, but I do not think a naira card works; I recommend you use a dollar card. @duchess90 Datakey: |
Technically the 5th working day is 8th August so hopefully you hear from them by tomorrow; otherwise you can follow up with a call. For the paid call/email you tried earlier, what kind of card did you use? You may want to try a dollar card Datakey: |
have you tracked it on Tls website? if yes what does it say? Moyosoore2001: |
Thank you @duchess90 duchess90: |
Thank you for your prompt response, I appreciate it. Please when you say tax document is it for the company or the individual? Also, the applicant started a Distance Learning MBA in 2021 and has written the last 4 papers in June 2023 but waiting for the final result. Can this be included to support the study gap? Kindly note that there is no official transcript just student copy results for the last 4 semesters. The proposed course of study is MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation. duchess90: |
So for one with a study gap with proof of registered business, will there be any need to share extensive details with the ECO about the activities of the company? For example, sharing links to social media pages or channels where services (e-books & online classes) of the business can be purchased. Any guidance or advice is welcome ![]() |
Let her go to her school visa team, but this shouldn't be a problem as she can extend her study visa, as long as it is done 28 days before her current student visa expiry. Basis the guidance from gov.uk then her PSW should not be affected as she will now have a new visa expiry. Recommend again to see the school visa team. See here: https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/extend-your-visa dharmeelawlarh: |
This is what First bank sent: TCC must cover a three-year period preceding the year of the FX application. The Tax Identification Number (TIN) must be visible and legible. The name on the TCC must match the applicant’s name on the CBN Portal. The TCC would be verified by the Bank through the Local Tax Authority. Teettyllayho: |
Select ' student' ; The Tier 4 visa has since been replaced by the Student Visa route. wheesin: |
I will speak to question 2 A - Are you saying you don't have a government-issued birth certificate that shows your name as the father and the lady as the mother? Let's assume your answer is yes and their birth has never been registered, then I suggest you visit the nearest National Population Commission office in the LGA close to you or the state headquarters where you live and the officers may be able to issue you a birth certificate or advise you on the next steps. B. Marriage is not a criterion for one to be a parent; the birth certificate is proof enough. Chicadedieu: |
If your children are not applying now, select NO. Sumboobisesan: |
