Politics › Re: Building On Weekends & Public-Holidays Banned In Lagos by gtrust: 5:15pm On May 22, 2013
These Lagos boys need to go to Yaba and get their heads checked!

Everybody builds during the weekend, night with flood-light, public holidays.
These are the best time to build as heavy and bulky equipment can move around without causing traffic or human obstruction and if atall, very minimal disruption.

Oga at the top is off duty and can come see wetin dey happen.

Who are those guys and from which interior are they coming fromhuh
Politics › Re: Sanusi To FG: Dont Overspend On Military Operations, by gtrust: 5:08pm On May 22, 2013
Metallurgist: Am surpris of how paranoid these xtains are, the mallam advise the goverment NOT to overspend!! Which is quite different to NOT to spend! What eva u may think, the man is right and overspending especially in warfare which is costly affair has consequenses, ask the americans, european union and all those fools that participate in their so call war on terror and see how their economy is still suffering, or even better russia whose ussr empire crumbles because of overspending in millitary expenditure.
You have to spend whatever is necesssary to build your house according to the engineer's specification.
If you decide NOT to spend then you will have to rebuild your house with the next rain or earth tremor etc.

They should spend whtaever is necessary and prevent wastage of every other gov't spending on BH.

shouldn't mallam sanusi be saying: BH stop destroying the north and Nigeriahuh
BH is it not our houses and economy you are destroyinghuh
BH save your money and float a party and contest electionhuh

There are people even in England who have crazy ideas and they have parties and they get funding and they contest elections!

Mallam is berking the wrong tree!
Politics › Re: Car-Snatching In Maiduguri Despite State Of Emergency by gtrust: 4:54pm On May 22, 2013
Built2last: In military drills you must understand priority. I remember a robbery going on arround CBN many years back and there were soldiers Manning CBN. all civillians including myself questioned why they will not intervene in the robbery. I grew up and went asking. only to be told by a family friend in the army that soldiers are disciplined men that must focus on the assignment. The robbery beside CBN will be viewed by any soldier on duty as a distraction. Its possible that CBN was the target but they needed to distract the soldiers by robbing close by. so a good soldier wont move. moreover, anything robbery is meant to be handled by the police. Soldiers are in Maiduguri for insurgence not car snatching. i just pity the pretty shuarab women there cosx soldiers have hot pants. Their third leg is not disciplined.
Don't let BH hear this 'third leg' thing I beg.
They will run mad.
Those BH guys like women die!
^^^The root of the root of the root cause of our problems as a country is the fact that we run a warped kind of federalism, with all ethnicities seeing the control of the centre as the only way to ensure the attraction of resources from the centre and hence the progress of their kinsfolk.

What needs to be done to put this country on the path to progress (and reduce the mad struggle for power at the centre), is to restructure the current federal set-up and place more power/resources with the regions/federating units; also, said federating units should be given the space and freedom to use their resources (at least 50%) as and when they like.

If this solution is implemented, Nigeria would become one of the 15 most developed countries within the next 8 years!
Great Idea!
I think you are right.

I am not sure of the percentages but the states and local governments need more from the national cake.

Most importantly, we need to budget every kobo and make every kobo count.
Our judiciary should start working and make crime a crime.

If someone can take federal/state/local gov't money and nothing WILL happen then this WILL continue.

Is it not about opportunity to come and stealhuh

Politics › Re: El-Rufai To Soludo: You Created A Cancer by gtrust: 3:53pm On May 10, 2013
The rest of Soludo’s article was spent blowing his trumpet of banking consolidation with his characteristic modesty! The dismissal of Charles' over-hyped banking consolidation in The Accidental Public Servant therefore appeared to upset him more than anything else. He is still under the illusion that his 'revolution' changed our lives the way GSM licensing did! No one needs a single 234Next to see through the hype and the disingenuous comparison. Banks like First Bank, UBA, Union, Zenith IBTC, and GTB needed no consolidation. They had sound business models and were doing well without it. Soludo’s consolidation abolished investment banks and regional banks, while creating a few ‘big’ banks with funny names many of which were either comatose by 2009 or had to be subsequently saved by the Sanusi Lamido Sanusi rescue exercise. It is pathetic to measure the success of consolidation by the number of banks in the top 1,000 banks in the world. Did that ranking translate into increased lending to the real sector, greater employment opportunities for our people and intensified mobilization of savings in the way the GSM revolution did?
No way, only massive margin loans to create a stock market bubble, engender insider lending and incestuous relations between regulators and operators in the industry.

The kind of targeted interventions needed to fill the gaps sustained by some of such policies were opposed by Soludo unless the ideas originated from him. As CBN governor, Charles did all he could to frustrate the attempts to establish a national mortgage system and was openly critical of Ngozi's drive and contributions in getting the Paris Club debts written off for the simple reason that the the credit might go to others not Soludo!

Charles is free to beat his chest and claim that the deformed baby called consolidation was a revolution, but today many of the the poster-children of the policy like Intercontinental, Oceanic, Finbank and Spring Bank are history, the banking-stockbroking rock stars are facing prosecution, and with N4 trillion spent to prevent the collapse of his revolution. When Charles’ memoirs are published, those that either witnessed it or had to clean up ‘the world’s fastest growing financial system’ will have their own views. And it will be good for the country.

I like the above!
El-Rufai did NOT let us know how those banks he mentioned did not need consolidationhuh
He did not dispute the top 1000 position and he did not tell us what position the banks were in before the consolidationhuh

Many European countries will NEVER recover from the so called 'global financial crisis'.
Even America is still struggling.

Why is El-Rufai NOT educating us on what was before and what is nowhuh
Why try to cause Sanusi and Soludo wahala when the one on ground still deyhuh

I think guys are afraid of losing their G/F therefore they try to 'bribe'.

I tell you, don't give anything except tell them the true feelings!
Unless you want to 'play' then that's another story altogether.

Interms of relationships = no money.
it should not make you richer or poorer.
when you eventually marry, equation will balance (poorer or richer)

bright87: She just spent the night at my place and I gave her 70 Naira for bike fare while she was leaving in the morning, simply because I don't have cash at home.. funny ! but simply the fact. It all depends on how u start a relationship, as for me I am very open that i can talk about anything with my babe... I don't have to kill myself when i dont have and when i have she knows what am capable of.. Relationships shouldn't be a burden, it should be about freedom of the heart and mind towards your partner, but when you build a relationship on pretense, trying to impress someone; this is what you get ! Always start a relationship being your real self not trying to be what you are not. The funny thing was that I even made fun of her while given her the money and asked her to give me back some change when next we meet.. she was laughing uncontrollably, she had some money though but she didn't have change she just needed the change to take bike to her work place. Am not trying to say she is a perfect girl, but to the guys; learn to do away with a girl who can't accept you for who you are. Learn to make fun of things that should have seem obvious and run away from Gals who form a lot coz in most cases lots of them are from very very poor homes/families. The only thing that should be of burden to any young guy is how to make money and not how to please a girl who truly don't deserve it...
why should you give her money for bikehuh
stop lying! okada people always have change.

GenBuhari: It is a shame that we Nigerians allowed the British divide and rule tatics to work and this ultimately lead to distrust amongs the various tribes and the civil war.

Many do not seem to know that the British actually assisted the North to carry out the July 1966 "counter" coup.

We can learn from this and start to banish tribalism from our hearts and minds from this moment onwards.
