Yorubbas, liarss and pretends are like bread and butter, that is why you mostly see them in media. And even the masters of nigeria the foolanis mostly give them appointment in the media like adesina and the legend of liars lai mohammed.
So it's natural to see more yorubbas as pastors than all the tribes in the zoo combined together.
In between I am a yoruba muslim girl from no man's land lagos.
Yorubas are your gods. You must worship them and supplicate to them on a daily basis. You worry about them so much you are no longer sure of your own identity.

That boy should be on camera 24/7. We need to hear what he has to say and "he doesn't talk on camera" will not suffice.
We haven't heard from another baby who was reportedly born with some Arabic inscription on his body.
Na wah for all these strange babies.

Lai Mohammed and APC did exactly the same thing. They called even president Jon unprintable names, that's how bad it was.
Can you please cite one example of where Lai Mohammed called President Jonathan unprintable names? I seriously like to know.

How come the same thing didn't make Lai Mohammed look a fool?
I can't remember how many times I've read FFK using foul language to describe some people he doesn't like.
What are we supposed to derive from that? Calling someone some nasty names does not make your argument superior to his.
If he wants to be like Kemi Olunloyo then at least we will know what we are dealing with.
PoliticsRe: How Do I Go About Renouncing Nigerian Citizenship , Please. by Guestlander: 4:37pm On Nov 10, 2017
Amakavula:
I know Nigeria will not miss me. About 200+ millions, you are much already so one extra liability wouldn't matter. I have had my hopeful moments, and thought once , that there was a chance for this country.

But I just can't take this anymore. Can't take the excuse of lazing around while my mate build the next iteration of the digital age.

I just can stand around as the next wave of progress hit the world and those with the critical mass of facilities can afford to take part and improve their lots.

Everwhere great and decent opportunities excludes the country, companies are leaving power is still a struggle and almost every single youth have now abandoned music -- then was football -- as a source to wealth. Now "we'' all blog !

I'm tired of laughing about the situation and desperately need to improve my lot and pursue my creative ethos. I hate the feeling of hopelessness. I don't want a job, I want opportunities; to learn, improve skill and also work.

I once called a client -- on directions from another -- for a pitch for a design project, he just blocked my number and only after the referral made things clear that I heard from him.
Reason; he doesn't do business with "Nigeria" . On freelance site too, similar story.

The digital revolution is creating Jobs and expanding quickly. what's our government's response to it ? They talk about getting skills, skills! in the digital age , which depends largely on power. Most at times comes 30mins in a month !

Nigerian IP is blocked to all most legit businesses home and abroad. And all we hear are looting and corruption which we have some worth taken as a comic relief, to the detriment of our future.

I have never stolen or defrauded anyone before but not suffer for what I never committed.
And the only consolation is what this pastor " Of the really famous church " says about the prospect of the new year. Ignoring how wrong they have always been.

please don't mention God or prayers, you should keep them. They would serve you better. I respect your God but not interested in the probability of serendipity; what you call miracles.

I have thought it over , Yes I don't want to be Nigerian again. I am tired oooh. As least being stateless brings a better chance of asylum abroad. please help.
Nations are built by people who put aside personal considerations and are willing to work for the benefit of the greater majority.
Rather than wait for others to do the heavy lifting why don't you consider what you can do on your part to make the country better.
The country you want to adopt was certainly not built by aliens from outer space.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Is Part Of Yorubaland - Femi Okunnu by Guestlander: 9:28am On Nov 10, 2017
Billyonaire:
I disagree with Femi Okunnu on this; He is telling us the history of this land that I sit from 1861.

I am a researcher and there is compelling historical evidence pre-1800 that shows that the Portuguese were here long before the British showed up and battled the Portuguese as world power that they were and bullied the Portuguese out of this land.

Mr. Lekki, Mr. Fulo, Mr. Badagry and so many other guys from Portugal I prefer not to mention used this place as a slavehub in the 1500s and 1600s long before the Britons showed up. So, let us tell the history of Lagos, a Portuguese word, in truth. No one is interested in displacing the Yorubas, neither are the Yorubas trying to displace any other people. It is impossible, because even looking at it, Yoruba is not major language spoken in today's Lagos. It is English and Yorubas are not the majority of the tribes in Lagos, it is a cosmo-politan town.

Mr. Lekki, I have been to the village he ruled and use as Slave harbour and he gave instruction to be buried standing after the British stopped his slave merchant business and he refused to go back to Portugal, but his son did come after some years to exhume and cut off his head and take to Portugal.

Like I said, I research these things as I try to be very close to Indegenous people in order to find out the mystery behind attempts by successful leaderships of the world to destroy indigenous people, be it Aborigenes, Tibetans, Biafrans, Oduduwas etc

We must accept the fact that after the Bini people who camp here defeated the Ile Ife fishermen who also come to fish at the oceans and took over and named this place Eko, the Portugese slave merchant when they arrived called it Lagos. It was a free open place. But since the Yorubas dorminated the periphery of the place, it was only the possibility that when Nigiritia or Southern Soudan became Nigeria after amalgation of the diverse protectorates to eliminate the final strong-hold of the portugese, politics was in the hands of the people and the Yorubas were educated enough to migrate from their neighbouring villages to the seat of power from their nearby locale and concentrate in Lagos. If that is how Femi Okunnu come to his conclusion that Yorubas own Lagos, then he is right, but the word should be, that Yorubas were the highest the highest in population at a certain state in the early days of Lagos and so may have had dorminant interest.

Lagos belongs to anyone who can afford a piece of her, but it is owned by the person that created the land and that person happens to live in every LandLord in this growing town.

Lagos is not a Yoruba State, it belongs to all. No emotion will stop this truth.

I will continue to tell the true story about this town using the true facts available, which I personally investigate as my curiosity drifts from one thing to the other in my continuous probe to becoming the greatest version of myself, God.
How do you assert your authority over a piece of land? Is it it by writing long convoluted essays in the media or you exercise real power and control over it?
If Yorubas control Lagos today then it is a Yoruba state until the power over the land shifts to someone else.
When the British came to take over Lagos they didn't start by writing articles, they forced the king to sign a treaty. The same rules apply to anyone who is interested in taking over Lagos today.

I wanted to keep quiet, but after reading through the whole posts, I saw that the stupidity of all your post is like zworld, extraordinary everyday.

You see from your post I see u don't understand the meaning of democracy. Democracy is not doing what you think is right for the people, but doing what they want. If what they want is not right for them, then it is the duty of the leader to present the needed change in an enticing manner to the people.

Do you know how many people blasts Donald trump and openly insult him? There was even a picture of a woman riding a bicycle alongside him to tell him Bleep u. you don't see him attempting to shut the media down.

Now back to GEJ, he was the definition of democracy. No matter how good his policies are, you don't implement them if you can't make the people want them.

Now as for Buhari, he came in, guns blazing, not minding who is affected by his policies. made people suffer unnecessarily.

The moment as a government your policies make more people suffer than benefit, you have failed.

And for ur information, it is still d militants that are guarding the pipelines, and he is paying them. he tried to fight them but advice himself to stop after they blew up some terminals several times.

And he is also paying subsidies on fuel.
Don't worry, oil is now over $50 per barrel. When they are kicked out in 2019, we will see if they saved or squandered the treasury too.
You are a slowpoke if you can't point to where I argued that democracy is doing only what the leader wants or even support any kind of censorship on the media.
Jonathan was the definition of democracy? Of course he was.

Hmmm, you are changing the goal post.

Nigeria is a difficult country to lead...? shocked Hope you are not just aware of this fact?

Same country that was difficult to lead under Jonathan, but ACN turned APC never gave him support or advice more importantly on national security but rather falsified lies and propaganda to discredit his government.

Same weapon of media propaganda APC used to gain popularity and eventually power are now being castigated?

It is very clear, APC will NEVER succeed in their enterprise again the power that brought them to power. 'Ida ahun, la fi un pa ahun' (use the sword of the wicked to kill the wicked)

Btw: Radio Continental (BAT radio station) already changed their name and now involve only in Music, ahead of the planned clampdown... grin
Jonathan was a failure and I don't think I need to explain why. He came to power with so much hope that he would do better than his predecessors, no sooner was his administration hijacked by all sorts of criminals and he was frozen in fear of dealing with them.

I'm not shifting any goal post, in the next election present me with a candidate I'm convinced is better than Buhari and I will vote for him. That is the way it works.

If Buhari should lose the confidence of Nigerians, just like Jonathan he should be shown the way out. No sentimentality, our collective wellbeing is more important.
