Owu gal:Haba small small na, but to be honest with you guys if not for the BUHAHA btw Obj and IBB in 2006 the story might be something different now. I mean it, and how many of my fellow Nairalanders actually vote on the last presidential election Did you cast a vote either a councillor, house of rep, Gubernitorial and presidential election. No body can force any one on us if we actaully come out en mass to vote, but people dont come uot, why? because they dont beleive in the system and when you dont beleive in the system it wont work for you. It is either you join them or leave. When this present administration came to power, we were all full of hopes, abi? Two years is gone, nothing has happened but we know there is seven point agenda, Obj will be remembered if not for anything, GSM, IBB, i remember better life for women cos there is a center in my village and many people died due to unpaid salaries, fuel scarcity etc we will remember him for that. But now, all we can do is to keep praying, and i know of some Saudi and Germany trip. God bless Nigeria |

Angel4luv: ![]() You want to know? Oh i see, I served in Jos and over there, it is their women that do most things, farming, selling etc Then i asked this question, where are the Men? In fact during the crisis, come see as these women brought out their cutlasses, I was impressed and I respect their their bravery. When you help your husband when in Need, he will always respect you. Rather than just been a liability, when he pays for every thing, then you are just like a furniture in the house. |
@ Topic I can, but wouldn't, never my own money is for me to spend on me, and me only
You see woman, na to buy jewelries, cloths and shoes they sabi including my Mama, she has many potmoto(hope u no wat dis is_dos iron box,but she don graduate to Ecolag bags) full of cloths but iro oo, once she sight any ankara and style she loves she need to buy!Imagine one lady we have been praying for to get married. i asked her can she marry someone that will drop 3,500 naira and she should add 1,500 to it for soup cos she has a shop, meaning she is not full time house wife o. She said NEVER. The kind of man she is praying for is the type that will drop 10k and will not ask for change. i tried to make her see reason but iro o she insisted, little wonder i can count up to 10guys that i know are once her Alasiri (secret lovers) All na to do and dump, you know why, even a mad man desires the best. if you doubt me when next you see one give him/her 200 naira, she the reaction from when you give 20 naira or those almageris and see, Infact one man did miracle, he gave one deaf n dumb guy 1,000 note and the next thing the guy said, thank you sir!!! Miracle, ![]() |
Naturally women are always self centred. What a man can do, woman can do better is that not the popular saying!!!!. It is very normal for a man to foot the wedding bills and that of the brides parent ASO EBI and even the engagement food and drinks abi? Good, why is it abnormal for ladies to do the same if in the position of doing that. Remember that no matter how bad, the guys family will do something even if just to attend the church and engagement ceremony and mind you, his commitee of friends will be there to do some serving and chairs arrangement, is that not input to the success of the wedding. Ladies forget, things are changing. Women are now ministers, senators etc. gender equality, discrimination issues, they are fighting it badly. Why then you guys dont want to share responsibilty. There is what is called paradym shift, lol, guys are not scare, babes yapa, so grab your copy nowwww and stop doing shakara. Honestly, one of my sister got married recently. The guy has MBA but no lucrative job yet and my ssiter is not getting any younger, infact I was praying the guy won't say i am no longer interested because I dont want to be doing some night vigils and going to Ori oke, we have to rescue the guy and today they ARE DOING GOOD. If we say cos the guy must bring up to 50%, I am sure things won't go well.i have one advice for those of you doing shakara, God will give you want you want in Jesus name but not everyone will actually get that rich, tall,God fearing, handsome, humorous wateva. |
@poster beware of 419 guys. Callredux dont ask for your acct number, its only when you want to activate your line thats when you pay to enjoy services that they render, You know nigerians now, always trying to scam people at the slightest opportunity once there is any advert or job placement, they will generate their own link too, Take care man |
just wondering. Does this thread actually serving it purpose? How many people has been called as a result of putting down your course because i wonder if employers will come here and i start searching a long thread like this for your course. Good luck folks |

TheSeeker:Girls will be the one paying dowry like its been practised in northern parts of india, even in Ghana, its happening |
TheSeeker:@TheSeeker Dont mind her,her MAMA is part of the problem. Who dosent want to have a Medical doctor as in-law? oh oohhh. Me wey no be medical ogini, na to relax na. Now the guy is through with NYSC and has moved out. what did she stand to gain? Because of today, girls mostly forgets tomorrow especially these girls of nowadays. Yes they need to treat us like kings. A friend of mine use to say this to me that "Most girls of today during courtship/dating period has collected their bride prize and spent it themselves instead of their parent, on the wedding day the rest is formalty" ![]() I have heard of a case where on the wedding day, the groom was asked to postrate for his in laws, the guy said never cos they way the girl has been presenting her parents like king and queen and collected enough money on their behalf cos the guy lives overseas before. bros come and see serious persuations/pleads before the guy did it once, why becuase, the girl has over praised her folks. So girls, they are neccessary evils. We have no options |
Undergrads, dating one now seems to be a distant reality as far as am concerned. I can't easily forgive my ex-queen, lol, I was serving in the Cold Jos and I kept my promises and Walahi I was faithful, where as a corper medical doctor was helping me back home taking care of my Civic duties . All these small small girls dem own too much. And the funniest thing is that she has the gut to say to me that "Do i want to tell her i wasn't dating anybody"? imagine! They are very flexible and this youthful blood in them will make them to want to do some dejavu stunts! If you can't witstand that pls stay off them. Catch them young and they shall be yours forever, man na lie o. |
@Ajanlekoko Thanks for your advise. I hope my background will not be a limiting factor in future? I just want to be sure before i start commiting money into the Cisco stuff. I got the Networking experience during my NYSC, where i serve as System Engineer. The only stuffs i learnt in the cafe was some Repairs and maintenance skills then web design basics. We did some Vsat installation and Networking, (wired&wireless) quite tasky and big projects when I was serving. But why am asking the house is that I am quite good but when clients ask me what course did i study in the University, and i told them Geography, they are always suprised. So that is why I want to know if it wont have any implication later in my IT Career, although i have heard about 'conversion' before, but honestly I learn so fast and quite realible 247, lol |
@Ajanlekoko For quite some time now i have been a secret fan of yours cos any post from you are quite very educating and always informating. I have lots of interest in the IT/Telecoms but back in the days when I graduated from Secondary sch, i have phobia forMathematics (phobia-matics) ![]() So i end up in the Applied sciences(Sci. Lab Tech) and I later have a degree in the Social Sciences (Geography). I have some IT or let me say computer knowlegde, though I did one certificate course in 2002, did SIWES in a Cafe then my NYSC with an IT Company as Systems Engineer, there I was expose to lots of stuffs and it was quite challenging experience, you know i need to work extra hard to convince my colleaguages and boss so i read every nite, Now i want to do a certification, which one will be ok for me? And do you know any reputable IT firm, mind you NIIT is to expensive for me! I work in an insurance company as marketing executive but for real my interest is in IT, Please advise though my case seems somehow cos i have noted the fact that most IT guys are always Electrical/telecom Engineer right from school. I am looking at CCNA because of my Networking experience which i think i know some stuffs about and some troubleshooting stuffs. I use to think I know some stuffs but when I read this thread, i know i Know nothing, i first got confused then lost with some of the terms and i must say i am into Vsat, Radios, switches etc though and many of you guys stuffs is about telecomms, but at least i suppose to know a bit. Please say something Oga, Ajanlekoko, ![]() |
