Career / Re: Becoming A Runs Girl by guseman(m): 12:05am On Jul 19, 2016 |
Life is in phases dear. You need to understand if there is life, there is hope. I believe your current situation is to help shape your future. Most people don't know how to manage their first earnings. If I tell you what I have lost in life, you will know you still have reasons to be thankful to God. Change your mentality and your views about life, everything that happened to you is not by accident at times the kind of friends we keep can lead us in many dangers or over expectation. RUNS Girl? I laugh in Spanish, I think you will not be able to cope with that lifestyle because many things are involved. Be positive because you are educated, opportunity can knock on your door any time. Don't lose hope in God because He knows everything, though things can be so bad but keep hoping better days are ahead. Many times I cry but honestly when I looked back, I do thank God. Have you been to hospitals lately? WILL YOU SAY THOSE PEOPLE DONT PRAY? |

@OP I cried at some point reading your writeup because it made me to remember some things that happened in the past. It is still a secret today, the truth will come out someday. Is it a crime for children of the poor to marry children of the rich? I know it's hard but it is possible. What you think is Lust now, you will later realise it is Love and because a child is involved who is a boy his your first child. Hope He is not bearing your surname? Life is a mystery my brother, Tope could have had a miscarriage if God did not want the Thomas Jr to live. It's called DESTINY 6 Likes 1 Share |

You have nothing to lose since you are not investing anything but it will be a shame if you messed up someone's capital. You can do business and go to school. All you need is proper management of your time and resources. |

Family / Re: My Wife Lied About Her Age, What Should I Do? by guseman(m): 4:32am On Aug 21, 2015 |
@Op My brother, I think I know how you feel because I was once in that situation. My wife was older than me with almost a year and she use to claim she is four years younger than me though I have some doubts because I graduated a year ahead of her from secondary school and each time I looked at how matured her younger ones are I get more confused and each time I say anything about them she will say they are just looking older than their real age. Something happened to her and she was asked her real age and I was not surprised to know we are age mates. It's only when you are not sensitive to things that you won't know because my elder sister once told me she is older than me but everything is fair in love and war. You know women, they sabi each other. I was not happy for a while because she made me look so foolish though my wife is very smart and intelligent and because we are age mates she knows how to handle me. But after a while, I overlooked it and we moved on. As per your neighbours laughing at you, walahi there is a couple like that in my compound now. We treat them with respect because they always respect everyone. But honestly when they moved in everyone is confused about what is going on because the madam looked more older than the man. My best advice is adoption but living in an African society and especially in Nigeria, your family is my concern especially your mother unless maybe she is late. If you are abroad, the stress may be lesser and keep praying for miracles to happen. If you impregnate another girl, she might comply now but later she will show you hell because some are suggesting baby mamas. This is just my own opinion. 1 Like |

Career / Re: Life After 2nd Class by guseman(m): 4:18pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
You are already killing your spirit. I know a lot of people with 3rd class that has the same mentality with you. 'inferiority complex' two of my coursemate that has a 3rd class are more richer than many of us. You know why? They did not allow that grade to kill their spirit and they put in all their energy in what they do. Many jobs first class and 2.1 graduates can't do is what they are doing and they put in their everything. I had a chat last week at the US embassy with a CEO, she has a 3rd class but she is one of the most successful architect in Abuja today. So change your mind set dear. 1 Like |

Career / Re: Now That I Got A Job I Am Now Confused. by guseman(m): 5:07pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
My view is for you to pick up the job that you have the highest passion for which I believe is teaching and you are afraid of the sales/technical support job because of the challenges of the new sales Job. I was once upon a time in this situation. Got an IT offer with a small pay and an insurance marketing executive jobs. My Uncle asked me to take the IT offer that all what Insurance marketers does is walking around from one office to the other. I finally pick the marketing job because of my background is in social sciences not Engineering and all the adverts of telecommunications companies I do see always ask for people with engineering background so picked sales job. I never received a dime for the four months I worked with the Insurance Company but I spent the 50k my Mum gave me for CCNA certification o transportation just trying to know Lagos that was in 2009. I got another job after four months. All the clients am getting I handed them to a friend because I told her this is not what I want in life begging people to secure their future so as for me to put food on the table for my family. Today I am a professional Salesman and I am glad I made that decision. I have worked in many states of the federation and I have been a manager for about four years now. My story has never remain the same. My sister is the Head of School for Eight years, when she was asked to go, I don't think they gave her anything. As I am typing this message, my Cousin who is also a Principal in a private school is editing his CV because after 7years He is asked to go without any meaningful compensation because they work in a private school. As a salesman, meeting targets might be stressful but it will makes you go places and meet people. Apart from pupils parents and church members, your interaction with outside world is limited as a teacher but I will submit by saying the decision is yours because it is all about your passion not necessarily the money involved. But honestly each time I go home and I see my teachers I cried inside of my heart and if you must know, my father was Head Master during his lifetime. It's all about what gives you joy. If you want to be rich in life, don't ever consider you will be rich by teaching. You can only live a comfortable life without taking risk and retire and live on your pension that is if you teach in a government school. If you think otherwise ask your lectures, some of their students earn four times their salary. Many of my friends that are teachers today don't like taking risk and they are always comfortable with their little salary but at times they complain. But if you want to be rich in life and make it to the top, think the other way. 113 Likes 10 Shares |
