[s] 3xtr6r: 83% of the appointed female ministers in the current administration are from the North.
The military, navy, air force police and other security forces are populated with illiterate Northerners.
About 85% of crude oil wells in the South belong to Northerners.
For many decades monthly allocations, fertilizer distribution have been largely skewed to the North for no justifiable reason; all in the name of 'One Nigeria'.
Northerners have colonised Customs for decades when they have no reason to. Here is the break down of comptroller positions in the recent promotion: SE - 4, SS - 11, SW - 10, NE - 26, NW - 25 and NC - 19.
An outrageous 74% of key positions in Customs going to the North!
Did you see any wrong in dismissing Igbos from Nigeria Custom Service? [/s]

But when 90 percent of the federal civil service is headed and populated by Northerners, it beats my imagination...we share the problems but don't share the system is a bit biased!! It is not wrong to say that Nigeria has been mismanaged by them because they have ruled. And they have the population to make a bill scale through or not so blame them!! Politics › Re: Saudi Arabia Just Insulted Us Nigerians! by gwales: 9:51pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
doncent12: I’m not quite sure we understand the indignity that our President is letting himself, and as a result, his office, to be put through.
Just so you will understand the disdain with which the Saudis are taking his visit, he was received on arrival in Riyadh by Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, who happens to be the governor of Riyadh.
Imagine, say, Nicolás Maduro, decided to visit Nigeria, and we sent Muhammad Musa Bello to welcome him at the airport? Yes, that’s the implication, a junior member of the Saudi cabinet is who received our President. If you don’t find that to be a calculated insult, then you don’t hold the office of President, Federal Republic of Nigeria to any standard at all.
I’m also ashamed that FIVE of our state governors were at the airport to receive Buhari in Saudi Arabia! FIVE! Since when did these men, Amosun, Aregbesola, Masari, Shettima and Yari, become Saudi citizens or officials? Don’t they know their jobs? Osun has not paid staff since God talked to Moses, yet Rauf won’t attempt to figure out a solution to the problem, instead he is going to Saudi Arabia to do otimkpu for Buhari. What is wrong with us? Why are we cursed like this?
By the way, I lie, the governor of Riyadh is not even a cabinet member. So, his receiving Buhari is actually the equivalent of Rauf receiving Obama at the airport if Obama ever decides to insult himself with a visit here. Shame on us! ipad yoot check out Obama been received by same person

Politics › ATBU Lecturer Invents Automated Fish Farming Facility by gwales(op): 8:24pm On Jan 23, 2016 |
Faisal Bala, a lecturer with the Department of Mechatronics and Systems Engineering, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, has improvised an automated fish farming facility. A Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria reports that the facility, made up of dedicated computers, tank, solar power generation and complex water treatment facilities, among others, was on display during the institution’s convocation ceremony on Saturday. Explaining the facility in an interview with NAN on Saturday in Bauchi, the lecturer said the mechanism would make it possible to engage in fish farming all year round, regardless of climatic changes. He said: “The system is automated, with less human involvement and also environmentally friendly; it does not discharge dirty water. “It is powered by solar energy and has a very high stocking density when compared with the conventional system, with the capacity to also accommodate a lot of fish per meter cube of water.” Bala further explained that the system had android application to enable the monitoring of the pond, using cell phone. “It is also highly profitable with an excellent return on investment, suitable for graduate empowerment in the area of fish-farming to attain food sufficiency,” he said. Bala, an alumnus of the University of East London, who studied Electrical Electronic Engineering, with specialty in ‘Embedded Systems’ and bias towards ‘solving local problems in agriculture’, said the project was his idea. He said: “The project is my innovation, but I co-opted three of my colleagues to see it to fruition. I spent my resources to see to the materialization of the first unit of the facility. “Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University later funded the construction of the one on display now as part of activities marking the convocation ceremony of the institution.” The lecturer called on government and corporate organisations to support the mass production of the facility for use in boosting fish farming in the country. www.today.ng/news/national/70100/atbu-lecturer-invents-automated-fish-farming-facility?utm_source=dlvr.it_nnd&utm_medium=twitter |
