Herald47:guy I think you need to learn how settlement are classified because like I said earlier settlement are distinguish more importantly by the population living at a particular place at the right time. Settlement cam be isolated dwelling, Hamlet, small village, large village, small town, large town, city, megalopolis and finally cornubation. So place like Zaria with its huge population more than a million people easily qualified as a city. You make mention technology and business not knowing that all settlement have different functions. Like I said earlier, a settlement can function as religious (Makkah, Jerusalem) educational (Zaria, oxford) , administrative (Zaria, abuja) industrial (lagos) tourism (Rome, paris). If all these places can function well what makes you think that all this criteria is not an Avenue of business? You also make mention of billionaires in nnewi, hmmmmm. When did having billionaires become a criteria? You can make your points why anambra should be third on the list but claiming that onitcha and nnewi are cities while Zaria is not is laughable. You can notice through out my posts that I never claim to knowing anambra for the single reason that I have little or no knowledge of the place but I won't accept your assertion about Zaria. Zaria qualify to be a city with it's population and functions (educational & administrative). Thanks. |
Abagworo:in my mention I didn't talk of kaduna, I am more concern of how he belittle Zaria even listing places such as warri and asaba as cities while Zaria is not |
Herald47:you are only being mischievous by claiming that nnewi and onitcha are cities while zaria is not. Did you know that one of the most criteria for distinguishing settlements is by population and function. By population I doubt if nnewi have more people leaving in it, while when it comes to function zaria can easily qualified as an educational city and defense city |

Biafra IS THE LAND OF CRIMINALS AND FOR CRIMINALS |
A Nigerian pastor, one Mr Chukwudi Okechukwu, who preaches in Tanzania, under the umbrella of the Lord Chosen Church of Nigeria, has reportedly bagged a 30-year jail term after being convicted of smuggling cocaine worth Sh3.1 billion. According to information from a Dailypost report, Okechukwu is believed to be one of the kingpins of the drug trade in Tanzania and South Africa. was jailed alongside a South African, one Stan Hycent and Pakistani Shoaib Mohammad Ayazi over the same offence. High Court Judge, Amir Mruma, reports say has ordered the accused to pay Sh9 billion in fines. He and his three accomplices were reportedly hiding in a mansion in Dar es Salaam’s Kuduchi Mtongani suburbs when the police allegedly surrounded the house and arrested them. Anti-narcotics police had received information about foreigners who were planning to smuggle into the country a huge quantity of cocaine and store it in a house in Kunduchi Mtongani. However, a surveillance team led by head of Anti-Drugs Unit, ADU, Godfrey Nzowa, was deployed to keep an eye on the mansion that the preacher and his accomplices had rented. The team had purportedly knocked on the front gate in their bid to arrest the suspected drug dealers. Soon after the police knocked on the gate and introduced themselves, reports further revealed that the four suspects started running around the house in apparent fear and panic. There was an alleged cat-and-mouse chase drama inside the compound as the police tried to get hold of one of the suspects as he was attempting to jump over the fence. Three suspects were arrested inside the house. The Nigerian suspect was reportedly the only one who managed to jump over the wall but was arrested after a chase by the police. Upon searching the house, anti-drugs police allegedly seized 81 packets of drugs which were later confirmed by a Chief Government chemist to be cocaine hydrochloride. However, intelligence report revealed he visited Tanzania some years back and had made a name for himself as a pastor at his ‘Kinondoni Biafra’ church and won many followers. The head of Anti-Drugs Unit, Nzowa, reportedly described their jailing as ‘another great achievement’ in Tanzania’s efforts to fight drug trafficking.“Unlike a gun or pistol which kills people instantly, drugs are killing the young generation slowly. If we are not aggressive in fighting the illicit trade we may find ourselves losing the young generation,” he said. www.theheraldng.com/lords-chosen-pastor-biafra-supporter-bags-30-years-for-cocaine-in-tanzania/ |

IPOD almajiri would likely claim that akpabio is yoruba |
Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio, has condemned fresh agitation for the creation of the sovereign state of Biafra, just as he called on parents and community leaders in the South-East and South-South regions of the country to ensure that they caution and educate their wards on the negative implication of their actions. Akpabio stated this while receiving members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly led by its Speaker, Hon Aniekan Uko, who paid him a courtesy visit in the National Assembly in Abuja on Thursday. According to the Senate Minority Leader, “for those of us who witnessed the civil war, we should not be seen to be supporting this needless struggle because it is an ill wind that will blow no good, no matter your status or political affiliation.” Akpabio noted that, “no matter the level of disaffection among different groups within the nation, there are better and lawful channels in which any aggrieved group or individuals can explore to get a redress instead of engaging in outright lawlessness. Let us all rise in unison to condemn any group that is bent on destroying the oneness of this country because our strength as a country lies in our unity.” Speaking further, Akpabio stressed the need for the entire country to be united so that the much expected development which Nigerians are yearning for would be delivered, saying “let us all shun all forms of divisiveness. President Mohammadu Buhari needs peace for sustainable development and this can only be achieved if he is focused.” Earlier in his speech, the Speaker, Hon Uko said the purpose of their visit to the Senate Minority Leader was to congratulate him on his “uncommon emergence as the senate minority leader despite the fact that you are not ranked just like myself.” “We have come here today to tell you that you shouldn’t be bothered about what people are saying about you. We are the people to tell Nigerians whether you did well or not. We are here to tell the whole world that you did a lot for the people of Akwa Ibom State as their governor,” he said. Uko stated further that “whatever we are enjoying today in the state, you put them in place and that is why we have come to publicly declare today that you are our leader and you will remain so. Those who are not comfortable with what is happening in our state have been advised to resign from politics and they have started doing that,” he said. Responding, Senator Akpabio declared, “today is the happiest day of my life. I thank Governor Udom Emmanuel for making this visit possible. Your visit today, signifies love and unity which are the bedrock upon which development and dividends of democracy could be achieved. Iam very proud to be your father. I also thank my colleagues in the Senate for reposing their confidence in me by making me their leader.” Akpabio charged the lawmakers and indigenes of the state to rally round the state governor, Udom Emmanuel in his effort at taking the state to the next level. www.today.ng/news/national/37638/ex-gov-akpabio-condemns-pro-biafra-agitations |

Stella oduah is the worst aviation minister ever in the history of this country, while Fashola is the best governor Case close |
PDP uses religion/ethnicity during 2015 election but still failed, I don't think how that would help them now.. TonyeBarcanista take note |
Fashola would construct roads that are within Nigeria not that of Biafra. If they really want those roads to be repair they should table their complain to otuoke, or better still to Nnamdi kunu at DSS custody |
