What is meant by salary difference is that some industries pay a lot higher in the United States than in Canada cool

For example, engineering, medical, and finance pay significantly more than an equal job in Canada and benefits are covered by most employers in these fields too so those healthcare costs most Nigerians who love Canada like to gloat about undecided

aren't a consideration for US employees wink

Although it depends on the industry and region. If you don't work at the top end of high wage industry, Canada is better. Canadians receive better social benefits such as healthcare, paid maternity leave, greater subsidislzation of their higher institutions and others which an average American don't get to benefit in the so called greatest country in the world shocked

So, if you want to make giant piles of cash via something lucrative like software development, finance, medical or engineering, United States of America is the right place to go otherwise in any category, Canada is better.
