Okay. But the tardiness in LASU's admission process this year is really unnecessary though, and it verges on redtapism. Upon the moment I was admitted, I thought that by December we would have paid acceptance fee, done clearance, and paid school fees. Beginning the new year with unnecessary registration stress doesn't seem so appealing.

Your submission is a very informed one. Simply becuase Lasu has now become a bride for all candidates does not mean the university should sacrifice quality.

Exactly what I've been try to tell people. They just won't understand. It's not like I don't have people that were affected too, but, what can they do? Try next year Na.

The school is just trying to enhance its capacity before bringing in a higher number of students.

You got that right.. But the funds nko? There are so many unfinished projects at hand. Let's not forget recurrent and contingent expenditures. And if the management decided to increase the fees to just 40k, all hell will let loose.

Vote ke? I've been in my room since Tuesday evening when I got back from school. I don't even what it looks like outside. I'm not up to 18 years...

of the candidates, even for an exam, that grade is a
total failure. The university didn't care of what would

The university decided not to overstretch it's facilities.
You need to see how those that were admitted for 2016/2017 session were receiving lectures. I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone you know to be subjected to that kinda pitiable learning condition. Besides, this is not the first time 3500 students will be admitted for a session. The same number of students were admitted for 2015/2016 academic session.
Because more people decided to choose LASU this year doesn't mean that the school will admit more and risk the chance of some it's department loosing NUC accreditation.

Each year Lasu if getting more competitive secondly someone said Lasu it not transparent the truth is that all schools ain't transparent in their admission process one way or the other take for instance last year lasu admitted lot of student and it was release via PDF file and it really affected the school system *overpopulation* in various dpt and this alone can make some dpt loose NUC accreditation, for example I know of a lady last year she was admitted did all the whole necessary thing but still yet she wasn't given Matric number!!!!!! Now she taking another jamb again.
Go and ask people at faculty of ART,social sciences etc
My own dpt when I was in 100l the people I resume with today there ain't around again!!!!!!!!

Help me tell them o. I had a coursemate who was admitted alongside, this girl paid all the necessary fees, did Iivc interview and was successful, paid school fees, we even matriculated together o. To make matters worse, she was even staying in school hostel. Alas, when it was time to check matric number she kept checking and complaining to ict. They couldn't do anything about it and she had to leave the school premises about 3 days to the beginning of first semester exams.
She wrote another utme this year and chose LASU. She hasn't been admitted yet o. Shey that kinda person will now kill herself ni?

I don't think anyone has been able to. Their CAPS website keeps saying "Invalid credentials" and even when you log in to their website to check admission status, it's only to discover that the software is not up to date. The icon for examination year ends at 2016. There is no 2017 (check screenshot below)

This JAMB has continually proven to be useless and clueless.

I just wonder how we would print JAMB admission letter since we can't even log in to accept admission on JAMB's site, nor is it possible to check admission status on JAMB's website. And yet I know JAMB's admission letter would be required during clearance in school (which should begin any time from next week)

Don't get worried over admission letter. Yes, it's one of the requirements. But, if as at when the clearance is to hold jamb has not responded yet, you'll be asked to forge ahead without the admission letter.
I did my clearance without my admission letter.

They did ojoro. They should have paste it on their portal, either as pdf or general view , for us 2 atlease see d name and total number of them they admitted per couse. They don't wanna strech their facility my foot. Lack of "transparency". Atlease some of us had high point than those they gave admission, indegenes self suffer join. No coc. Their now adding name 2 d list one after d other like a lotto game. Infact. If i write another jamb next yr. I will never pick lasu again. Not even my great grandchildren. Ptcheew

Eeya, Sorry for your pain bro. But, we should not shy away from the fact that not all that applied will be admitted na. It's just that simple. Because you weren't admitted didn't mean LASU is not transparent sha. Good luck with your next jamb and your next choice of school.

I'm not 100% sure but I can't confidently tell a second choice candidate to keep calm. See, the applications received from first choice candidates alone is more than enough. Those that chose LASU this year are just too many.
And, not even up to 5000 candidates will be admitted.
Lasu exceeded it's NUC accreditation quota by a very wide margin last year, so, they'll admit less this year in order to balance it up.
Can you see the reason I made such assertion? Besides, there are no adequate facilities (human and physical) to cater for the academic needs of the student populace presently sef.
