Franklyn4:Thank you I have sent a message |
Hi all! Is there anyone with DevOps experience that can mentor me? I would be really grateful to get one. Also looking for remote internship positions. If anyone knows job websites I can apply to I'd greatly appreciate |
einsteino:Yes that is so true . I will need to seriously weigh this before deciding. Thanks for this. You've given me something to seriously think about ![]() |
einsteino:Oh thank you so much. Amen and for us all. Lol I know right. The 24 hrs here feels like 18hrs ![]() You will pull through, best to do it once and for all and rest. I put school on hold but since you're doing both, I think imma hit you up on tips about how you're doing it ![]() Overall the experience has been a life changing one. Lol now I'm so accountable for time ![]() |
jesusbaby01:True alot of bad stories about the NE but alot of people I know live there and no issues. Ultimately I guess it's different experiences for everyone. I wish I lived there though . Almost everything is there plus I work there. Woulda made my commute easier ![]() |
Jbelieve:Wow that's so wonderful of him. True, we can only grow if we continue to help each other out. Canada is ours to succeed in. |
salford1:Aww thank you so much. I should be the one saying thank you. I can't thank you enough ![]() |
So I made this post December 19 2017, at the time I haven't even gotten a headway convincing my spouse to let us try the process. Nonetheless I kept reading and praying. And just enjoying the comments and learning. I learnt so much from Salford, blackbuddy, vcole, Nogen, maternal, Einsteino, and so many more. Each time I read I showed my spouse your posts and he just shrugged it off. So a week later, like a joke he said he wanted us to pay for WES. I remember it was on Christmas day. I didn't believe it till he brought out his card to pay for us both. And he paid, and that's how everything began. IELTS became a stumbling block at some point, so we took a break. Then I had a baby in April of 2018 and then got a job 2weeks later. I was the happiest person at that point. And then I didn't even bother about the process anymore. I thought I had arrived, my spouse however noticed I had taken a back seat on the whole process. And then he told me, 'trust me 1 year from now you will ask yourself if this is it, and then I really would want to leave naija'. Of course I didn't believe him He jokingly kept saying it that I can stay in naija while he goes to Canada with the kids. Since I am 'doing well' I can pay visits to Canada. To cut the long story short, November of 2018 we wrote IELTS, I for the second time and him for the 4th. And I prayed to God at that point that if Canada was meant for us, this should be the last time we would write. We prepared so well and as God will have it we got the perfect score we needed. We updated our profile December 15th 2018 and got an invitation to Apply December 19th, submitted January 24th 2019 and got PPR May 8 2019 Left Nigeria for Calgary October 29th 2019 It has been a journey I must say, I have been meaning to write this but time has always been the issue. But here I am today, writing this in my bus, on my way to work. Hmm work, that is another story on its own I hope to take my time to write on. It's been wonderful and I must say dreams do come true if you believe and stay true to the course ![]() Thank you so much to everyone who share their stories. This is me making good on my promise. ![]() Salford, Einsteino you may not know me but you've inspired me in many ways. I can literally still remember your posts. Lol it kind of feels like you said them to me directly because I still remember them vividly. Thank you. ![]() The Congo too lol, I like your honesty, not so much for the brutal part of it though lol. But it's great for the most part. Thank you for you ![]() Einsteino too, I love love your write ups. I don't know if you are still on nairaland. You have been an inspiration too. Thank you ![]() Let me stop here. I will try to make my next post soon enough. I'm sorry if there are any typographical errors. Thank you all P.S do not mind the time on the the screenshots, I made it over 2months ago, I just got around to writing this morning ![]()

Mizwisdom:You gerrit ![]() Amen for him and all |
Mizwisdom:I tire for the response ![]() I can just imagine what it took him to take that decision. @denaven I wish you all the best, may the sacrifice you're making bring great rewards |
TheCongo2:Apparently so many people are not getting the main point of your argument hence the continuous back and forth replies.. Well said! |
ceemac:I can't laugh abeg ![]() |
salford: You've said it all |
Tojued:I totally agree, he should. It's really an interesting read ![]() |
Adeola2908:Berra keep your money..if it's genuine let them give you your letter then you pay..but not before |
siina:Aww that's nice of you. Works been fine Alhamdulillah how's your side |
AngryRebel:Yes graduate level even though she has experience already. |
AngryRebel:Yes she has, i think a day after I replied you here. To resume within 3months |

burantashii:Thanks ![]() |
burantashii:Lol thanks bro, I have moved on and gotten something better Alhamdulillah |
AngryRebel:No APL issued yet, just medicals |
AngryRebel:Yes I'm referring to CBN.. she did her interview in May this year |
AngryRebel:I don't know which batch you are but a friend of mine has done medicals |

I've responded to your pm |
nekyfine:Of course there are people who got it without passing through the interview. However being called without having someone fronting for you is a slim possibility. If you do have someone fronting for you then your instincts could turn out true ![]() |
@obaloppelujo Not at all. There are laptops at the training centre which you will be asked to login into with your FIRS I.D and you're expected to fill in all information required then print..everything they need to know about you. Then there are duplicate forms you are to fill with biro/pencil. All these are part of the documentation process. |
obaloppelujo:Not true! |
obaloppelujo:Posting letter was sent via email..which was to be printed out, filled and submitted. I guess it's going to be same way again You type in whichever bank you desire to use for salary account We've gotten our I'D card and that was on the second day of induction. You won't get yours immediately because it's at the documentation you will be given ID form to fill and you submit passport, next day I don't think so either. Go with pencil and eraser. You will need it. If you're good with typing then you shouldn't have a problem however if you have any problem, the staffs are around to help. You can decide to wait as long as it will take for your I'd to be ready before leaving for lagos. Hope this helps |
neoclassical:He's referring to the same recruitment of which appointment letters are being issued. As per holding on till budget is approved I don't understand the idea behind that. Keep pressing him to help you because if budget was a prerequisite before you are called then I don't think they would have started issuing out letters to begin with. I wish you good luck |
