It's nice to see that Sterling has finally come of age. I remember when the only thing he was notorious for was having 3 children from two different women before the age of 19.
Family / Re: My Married Jobless Elder Brother Is Sucking My Mum Financially. Help! by HajimeSaito(m): 7:23pm On Apr 23, 2019
Do you have any family elders or do you know any responsible Pastor? It sounds as if the opinion of a neutral and unbiased outsider is what you need.

Aplaudez:
I'll be as brief as possible, please pardon my errors!

It happened that my brother get married after impregnating this girl, and six months after the wedding the two parent of the girl died, so it's been my mum taking care of everything and we're fatherless too, the wife is a teacher in secondary school, but my bro Is managing In one hotel.

Each time he get paid he'll always lie to mum that they've not pay them, he always appear pitiful, always telling you about the weakness of his family, I'm just in my mid twenties with my National diploma awaiting to further my education by June, it's affecting the house, mum don't have time for we other siblings again, any money gotten is given to my brother and his wife, yet he'll come back and appear pitiful again!

Dear friends, please what can I do, it's affecting my mum, she doesn't ware better cloth yet she's a federal worker!

please help a friend!

Hands down the most disappointing post I've seen on NL this year. The difference between what I was expecting to read and what I actually had to settle for is like the difference between a glass of Campari and a bottle of stale Arabian Camel Piss. Come to think of it, the OP sounds uncannily like Edimolu. I just wonder.....

Dear SERAP (or is it SHARAP?)

What is the point of writing a letter that will simply be disregarded and end up in the waste paper basket?

If you really want to bring about change, support restructuring so that those regions with the intellectual capacity to advance into the 21st ceentury can leave behind the illiterate and backwards parts of the country where they belong in 7th century Arabia.

Let us stop pretending that all fingers are equal.

Thanks for dropping the knowledge.

I think they're competing with Jumia launching Jumia Global to take on Mall for Africa's core business model.

But don't take my word for it. I don't follow our local tech scene as much as I used to.

My real life experiences are the stuff of fantasy for the likes of you and your unlettered abokki ilk. Violence, whether of the pre or post election variety is for Almajiris, Fullanus herdsmen, Zamfara bandits and other undesirable subhuman elements.

Your 5 minutes of interacting with an intellectually superior specimen are now over.

You may now go back to that sorry plane of existence which you call your life, but which I'm sure your parents call their biggest mistake.

He doesn't even know the difference between region and neighbourhood.

A forgone conclusion that you lot are still ranting and crying on social media about how it was rigged? grin cheesy

Making dollars or looking for the next 419 scheme? Keep consoling yourself, mate.

Actually nobody around my neighbourhood cared enough to kill themselves over what was essentially a forgone conclusion. I was even one of the few who voted. Most spent election day making dollars on their blogs and on fiverr.

zicoraads:

Look at this e-diot!

Didn't more people die in whatever region you are from, than the entire North during the last elections?
Business / Re: Jumia: 'africa's Amazon' In Landmark Stock Market Listing by HajimeSaito(m): 8:55am On Apr 14, 2019
But isn't Mall for Africa also involved with Jumia?
LordAdam16:

Not quite. Amazon and AliExpress still have their place.

But the laudable part of DHL Africa eShop is that Mall for Africa is the technical partner making it happen behind the scenes. Always been a fan of that business outfit and another--Circuit Atlantic (later Shippyme). The latter failed to make a mark for several reasons, but it's nice that MfA is finally hitting strides on the global scene.

I think one side to MfA that doesn't get enough exposure is that they also facilitate the reverse. Having Nigerian sellers vend their wares on US/UK sites to access a wealthy market. The pilot program was for eBay. e-Commerce isn't my cup of tea, but I expect some silent movers are taking advantage of that opening.

Walk upon mountains green:
And was the Holy Lamb of God,
On pleasant pastures seen!

And did the Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem built here...

I've been saying this since the death of Kolade Johnson. 99.9% of the people in the Nigerian police are only there because they were too stupid to become lawyers, doctors, bankers, IT engineers, civil engineers e.t.c. So they vent their frustrations on anyone they feel is looking down on them, especially if that person is young and seems to have a promising future ahead of them. Nigeria is not like America where people actually join the Police because it means something to them and they take pride in the uniform they're wearing.

Timothy McVeigh was a conspiracy theorist and he was waging a one man war against the Federal Government of the United States. Different scenario, different motivation. That comes under the category of false equivalency.

Studying almost any professional course in Nigeria, especially any course in Science or Tech is a scam. The very few University courses that are not scams are Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa studies.
